WAS THAT EVER............Fun!!!!!
loadofmularkey replied to 40+ Year Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remember buying that video from Video Factory on a whim sometime after Super Bowl XXV. Best freakin' 12 bucks I ever spent. That 1990 Yearbook video is awesome...the highlights of the game against Denver (when we scored something like 21 points in 70 seconds) gives me chills everytime. The Biscuit blocked kick return, Elway fumbling on his own 5 yard line...awesome. Good video too -
Happy that Bonds Won't Play?
loadofmularkey replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's bad enough that Bonds is #3 on the all-time HR list, but I am VERY happy that it appears as if he won't be passing Hank Aaron (or maybe even the Babe) anytime soon. -
Well I was originally going to say RIP Shohreh Aghdashloo, but I figured it wouldn't be appropriate because she's not dead, just kicked off the show.

I can't believe more hasn't been made of what looks to be the end of the one and only SHOHREH AGHDASHLOO, aka Mrs. Araz. Seriously though, I thought she was one of the best things about 24 this season. I guess she was nominated for an Academy Award (Best Supporting Actress) back in 2003, and it's obvious as to why. She did a fantastic job portraying that character...the scene in the most recent episode where she says goodbye to Behrus in the CTU cell...whew, folks, that's about as good as it gets. Even though they don't come right out and say it, you just know that's the last time she'll be seeing her son and she does it all through facial expression. And that's a good actress. RIP Mrs. Araz Also, Chloe's back. Thoughts??

Basically right at the spot where Buff State, Albright-Knox and Hoyt Lake are.

Bills Don't Regularly Sell Out...?
loadofmularkey replied to eiregi's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's why the link won't work...because when eiregi posted it, he put http:// in there twice. So just delete the first http:// at the beginning of the URL. Once you get there however, you'll find that there's no author listed for the story...it's just an NFL Notebook. You can still send an email to the sports dept by clicking on Contact Us however. Good luck! -
No offense but people all over the country who fall into your kids' age bracket are the reason that movies like "Johnson Family Vacation" and "The Pacifier" can hit #1 during their opening weekend. The first Ring will pretty much ruin your life, it was so scary...the second one was just stupid.

Aww, those poor Yankees.

(OT) Sabres jersey question...
loadofmularkey replied to USMCBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dude, don't be THAT guy. Don't be the guy who puts his own name on the back of a jersey. The Sabres have a lot of young talent including Roy, Briere, Drury, Miller, et al. I think any of those would be jersey-worth. -

Can all the "we will make the playoff' posters
loadofmularkey replied to Rudyc80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When was the last time a successful offseason (on paper) assured a team of making it to the Super Bowl, no questions asked?? I'm sure we all remember the fiasco that took place in Washington five years ago when Danny Boy couldn't stop spending and all the experts ranked the Redskins as the class of the NFC. We all know how that turned out. At the opposite end of the spectrum, the Pats have won three Super Bowls in four years and the only earth-shattering, high-profile offseason move they've made during that time has been acquiring Corey Dillon. Plus, (and here's the real kicker) WE'RE STILL A MONTH AWAY FROM THE DRAFT. And Rudy, one more thing. Why don't you ever follow up on any of these inane threads you start?? You post something, let everyone get all riled up and then sit back and watch the madness. -
One thing that really bothered me about this past Monday's episode was the stupid, hackneyed "seemingly dead guy summons up enough strength to ruin a happy ending and wounding (killing) one of the main characters" crap at the end. I know you're supposed to suspend disbelief when watching 24 but Paul getting shot at the end was very reminiscent of say, a Wes Craven movie.

I can't believe the OT narcs haven't been all over this thread yet.

(OT) Star Wars trailer on the OC tonight
loadofmularkey replied to Fezmid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
FRIGGING FOX. I don't care how much of a loser I sound like, but I had been looking forward to this all day. I was working from 1:00pm-11:00pm so I made sure that I Tivo'd the O.C. tonight (first time for everything), I fast forward through the whole frigging thing, finally get to the trailer and watch about the first minute before Tivo cuts out at 9:00. THANK YOU FOX! Couldn't have shown it at 8:30 or 8:45 huh?? Had to wait till 8:58?? Had to squeeze in those last few seconds of O.C. glory with whatever idiot character that was introducing the trailer with the action figures?? Yeah. Awesome. Thanks. -
American Idol Predictions: Who Gets Cut Tonight?
loadofmularkey replied to Mark Vader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am SHOCKED that Ozzie Smith's kid (Nikko) didn't make it to the Top 12. I thought he was a lock. I can't believe Scott made it in over Nikko...I've heard Scott is from "the streets" but there's still something about him that seems kind of phony. He didn't have the shades or the hip facial hair (and is it just me or was the accent not as thick??) during the Hollywood shows and now here they are. As far as the girls go, the only reason Mikalah got through is because of personality. She's a spitfire and I think she has a pretty good-sized pocket of fans who like the way she acts and keep voting for her. I don't think it'll keep her around much longer however. Other than Nikko being left out and Mikalah getting in, I think the voters got the Top 12 pretty much right. And unless something goes way wrong in the next few weeks a guy will win the whole thing...either Anwar, Anthony, or Bo. -
(OT) ESPN II's COLD PIZZA
loadofmularkey replied to philburger1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, Olbermann stated that he and Patrick would never have played the role of anchor/comedian if he had known how it would've turned out. Sorry bout that, I should've been more specific. I agree though, it seems as if the professional/non-wacky reporting is left for ESPNews. Ah well. -
Ridiculous. . . Miami in Hall of Fame Game
loadofmularkey replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remember the game that year was Giants vs. Texans...Houston's first official NFL game so that may have had something to do with it. And I believe it's almost always (if not always) an AFC-NFC matchup. You're right though, it would've been smarter to have Buffalo play in that game. My friend and I drove down to Canton the morning of Kelly's induction and drove right back afterward. I was home for dinner and everything -
(OT) ESPN II's COLD PIZZA
loadofmularkey replied to philburger1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess we'll all have to watch ESPN Hollywood now. ESPN has really been ticking me off in general lately. Don't they realize the only reason people watched Cold Pizza was for Thea and Kit Hoover?? It's certainly not to hear Woody Paige and Skip Bayless scream moronic insults at each other. Another thing about ESPN...SportsCenter in the late 80s/early 90s was GREAT. You had straight-up, professional reporting with solid anchors (Bob Ley, Charley Steiner, et al) and PLENTY of highlights. During the past 4-5 years SportsCenter has slowly turned into a stand-up/variety hour centered around sports. Highlights optional. I get the feeling that somewhere along the way, the producers of the show decided to make it all about the anchors rather than the news and the highlights, which is why I (and many others) fell in love with the show years ago. I suppose this all started during the Patrick/Olbermann/Kilborn/Eisen era in the mid 90s but here's the difference between those guys and the tools they have on there today...THEY WERE ACTUALLY FUNNY. Not to mention it was still a solid sports show despite the hijinks. Now you have dorks like Scott Van Pelt making Seinfeld references every other minute, John Anderson screaming "SAY HELLO TO MY LIL FRIEND" among other annoying things. The show also relies too much on cutesy features like Budweiser Hot Seat. Solid reporters like David Aldridge have jumped ship (Aldridge is now on TNT) and have been replaced by the more bombastic Stephen A. Smith. Even Clayton has turned into a joke during that 4th down crap with Salisbury. Basically the whole thing is crap. I read a quote from Olbermann not too long ago saying that he and Patrick started the whole thing and if they knew how it would've turned out, they never would've done it. I miss the old ESPN and I'm sure I can't be the only one. -

I was watching Cold Pizza this past Friday and Thea was hosting. Calm down, she's probably on vacation this week. -
Next time you're having a nice, normal conversation with him and things are starting to wrap up is when you have the best opportunity to throw a little shot at him. Say, "By the way, Kelly owned Marino" real casually and just walk away.
