The thing about WGR's recent reports is that they've all been coming from Jeff Morrison, former Bills beat guy at WNSA. He probably still has the same contacts and sources.
I wasn't necessarily responding to your original post, rather the one made by Captain McBride who feels the uniforms are the #2 priority. Also, my weekend is off to a great start.
What a great point. Assuming getting a new HC is #1 on the list, changing uniforms is more important than assembling a coaching staff, working the cap, signing FAs, scouting, draft prep and off-season workouts.
PLEASE GET ON THIS MARV!!!
To clear things up. I just saw the tease for WGRZs 5:00pm news. They said, "Mike Sherman arrives in Buffalo" as he is walking through the airport.
So there ya go.
Exactly. Even though both articles were written in past tense doesn't mean anything. The two sides could still be talking for all we know. Jauron and the team might still have been talking when that article was posted yesterday.
Hey Veronica. Before you get your knickers in a twist, the article was posted at 2:40pm. The article posted yesterday saying that Jauron had interviewed was posted at 2:31pm. So by your logic, Jauron's interview ended earlier.
Also take note that nowhere in either article does it give the completion time of the interview.
From the first guy with the sweaty armpits right through Crazy Dave it was a great way to kick off the new season. The guiltiest of pleasures is back baby.
Out of all the fired HCs, Sherman is definitely the one who got the rawest of deals. GB had some major injuries to deal with last year and a QB who is obviously in decline. Plus the new GM there, Ted Thompson, appears to want to do things his own way and not bringing Sherman back was part of the agenda. I think he'd be an excellent fit here.
After using my wonderful DVR to rewatch this fine piece of reporting, Zac is correct. Russo doesn't say who made informal contact with who, but nevertheless informal contact has been made.
Still find it hard to believe that such a non-story tops the 11pm news.
