  1. They look a lot better than I thought they would. The colors are sharp, I don't mind the numbers on the front (or the font of the numbers) and for God's sake, the logo is what it is. I didn't like it at first, I've learned to, life goes on. They ARE wearing the old, old jersey/logo for 15 games this year...
  2. But defence isn't technically incorrect...that's how they write it out in the Great White North. So maybe on second thought...
  3. Could we give him more than one game?
  4. See? It all works out in the end
  5. BUT WE COULD'VE HAD HALOTI NGATA!!!
  6. What he said.
  7. Well, I never said that it was pompous. It's actually not pompous at all. What I'm sick and tired of is people with 20-30 posts coming on here for the first time in months just to B word and make end of the world posts when really...there isn't all that much reason for it.
  8. The genius behind this thread has been to this board three times. Once to blast the pick of Whitner. Next to suggest that the Bills change their name to the Red Wings to prevent them moving. (I don't get it either). And today. So now I'm mad at myself for getting mad at him.
  9. With Junior Seau and Rosey Colvin meeting him 2 yards behind said line of scrimmage? Oh. okay.
  10. So are you a Bills fan or not? If not, just tell us already because you're pissing us off.
  11. Wow, another angry "know-it-all" post from a newbie. That's original.
  12. FIRST, I think I know how Bills Nation truly feels after today's game, and I think the mood is generally somewhat positive. Yes we lost the game, but it went right down to the very end ON THE ROAD, there were a few questionable calls in the 4th, there were key injures on the defense and the mistakes that were made today are correctable. That being said, I know I'm not an elder member of this board by any means but if you have less than 20 posts and you start a thread proclaiming that "this is the same old Bills" are "we are doomed" I hereby refuse to read it. Now that that's out of the way... -- JP Losman did not look anything like the "bad" quarterback that many of the experts have already written him off as. Losman was accurate, smart and athletic. He threw away many balls that he wouldn't have last year. He completed a nice pass on 3rd down to Peerless that was called back. I was VERY impressed with Losman today. -- Donte Whitner had a big interception and should have a big gain/TD. I would love to hear what Mel Kiper Jr. and all the other pundits thought about that play. -- Willis McGahee had a beautiful run after catch in the first half. That is the McGahee we drafted. That is the McGahee we will see more of as the season goes on. For those you with your panties in a bunch because he didn't do anything the 2nd half...chalk it up to a Super Bowl head coach. I'm serious. -- Tom Brady was rattled. Our defense got to him early and often and Marcia was not expecting that. Yes Brady improved in the 2nd half but they didn't win BECAUSE of him. -- The ever-faithful Foxboro fans BOOED the Patriots at halftime. Just think about that for a second. I watched the game with a Pats fan was utterly silent until the 4th quarter. Only after they won did he admit how scared he was. We caught EVERYONE from the NE coaches to the players to the fans with their pants down today and we almost pulled it off. -- Anthony Thomas was impressive. The fact is everyone, we have a team with some talent. I know we're all sick and tired of mediocrity, but if everyone could just relax and analyze this game for a few minutes you'd realize how meaningful it was. I really believe this was a giant step in the right direction. Rebuilding can't happen overnight...it comes in spurts. Today was a spurt and a growing step. For those of you too impatient and too fed up to realize that...fine. See ya. I'm sticking with this team. There's something there.
  13. If you're going to blame anybody for Willis' lack of production, blame Belicheck. WM was killing them in the first half, and BB made the necessary halftime adjustments. I would love for someone to tell me where Willis is supposed to go when he hits the line and has two guys in his face?
  14. Umm...? So what game were you watching now? If you feel the need to jump ship and get mentally ready for next season after they went into Foxboro and took the Patriots right to the end, then by all means...go. We probably won't miss you.
  15. I was listening for a little while earlier this morning. Jeremy White and Jerry Sullivan were hosting. Whitey was doing a great job tearing down every blatantly negative thing that Sullivan was trying to say about the team.
  16. Goosebump alert
  17. This is your time JP. Let's go buddy.
  18. Discussing Peyton and the Colts..."That's what made the Bills so amazing all those years...they would get their lungs ripped out and still make it back to the big game. [The Colts] have never even been to the big game!" Thanks Lupica. Funny how people's opinions change over the years. I remember a column he wrote in the days before the 1994 AFC Championship against the Chiefs, blasting the Bills and basically saying that America is sick of them.

  20. Okay, so figure this out. Got together with some friends last night to watch the OSU-Texas game. I had 7 beers. Not enough to be pissdrunk, but certainly enough to be sleepy. Didn't go to sleep until about 2:00am. I am wide awake three and a half hours later because I'm so damn excited.
  21. Good call. Do they scare you now? WAKE UP THE ECHOES!
  22. If anybody would know who the Antichrist is, it would be you, O Nostradamus.
  23. 'Has Been' is maybe the guiltiest of pleasures. Guest vocals from Aimee Mann, Joe Jackson, Mr. Folds himself and Henry Rollins lend it some musical credibility. 'Common People' is a very catchy tune...I also like 'That's Me Trying' and 'I Can't Get Behind That'.
  24. Yeah no kidding. Where was that new-and-improved Daunte Culpepper I heard about ad nauseum during the preseason??
  25. I don't think anybody is going to change this guy's mind.
