  1. All he's doing is speculating which NFL teams may be looking for new starting QBs come the offseason. It kills me to say that we STILL don't know about JP for sure, but it's true.
  2. YES, I do! Actually...on second thought, nah.
  3. Hey Mesi beat Barrett once upon a time. Does he stand a chance against this guy??
  4. Maybe it was a bad idea to have 26 banner raising ceremonies.
  5. "...and BURIES Ottawa!!" I'll never get that call (along with a few others from last year) out of my head.
  6. I think I spoke in tongues that night.
  7. What a win. What a team. They are so good at coming back, they score so many clutch goals. Great game from Afinogenov tonight and Miller was oustanding again (not his fault some wacky deflections got past him). What a win, what a game, what a team. Love this team.
  8. Do you live in Buffalo? And if so, what cave are you currently holed up in?
  9. Lots of questions to be answered or lots of questions NEVER to be answered??
  10. I am so glad that the Stanley Cup resides in Carolina. You know, because after decades of heartbreak, suffering and waiting they deserve it and all.
  11. NBC did show Reed during the Bills-Vikes highlights...I remember it specifically because Costas or Collinsworth poked fun at him for wearing earplugs.
  12. I've been thinking about this...it might be smarter for ESPN to air the old Primetime format for the first 60 minutes of the 90 minute Monday morning SportsCenter, and then devote the last half-hour to baseball, NASCAR and the BUDWEISER HOTSEAT. This might present a problem once the baseball playoffs start (as in tomorrow) by not giving MLB top-billing...but it seems like there's enough of an outcry for Primetime as well.
  13. Remember that Boomer and TJ's day probably begins at 9:00am if not earlier. I don't know how cool they'd be with staying until midnight for a bare bones audience of diehards. That's not the way ESPN works. Boomer and TJ tape the NFL Blitz probably sometime around 7:30 (right when Primetime used to be on) and they're out.
  14. This subject line is kind of misleading
  15. Fair enough
  16. You know they are 2-2 right?
  17. Yep, CBS used to be the WORST at this. Shaud Williams would get a 2 yard pickup and suddenly next to the score you'd see, "Totals: S. Williams 1 car., 2 yds." That was a little much.
  18. Don't forget everyone, FOX is the exclusive home of the BCS this year! All four BCS games including the now separate National Championship will be displayed on the home of robots and lasers. But really, as much bashing (well-deserved) as FOX takes they did come up with the yellow 1st down marker (does anyone remember football on TV before that thing??). And although it seems like one of the networks would've inevitably come up with it sooner or later, they are also responsible for the constant scoreboard display during games.
  19. Right, if if if if if. It might've also been good had Ronnie Brown run straight between the tackles.
  20. Agreed...I get that ESPN is trying to appease the old Primetime viewers by keeping Berman and Jackson together but you never know when they're coming or going. It's really weird, having it mixed in between baseball, NASCAR and of course...the legendary Sunday staple...the ULTIMATE HIGHLIGHT. ESPN really ticks me off sometimes.
  21. As much love as Primetime has received on this board in the last few weeks, I really am not missing Berman's schtick ("WOOP! WOOP!" (x 10) is almost certainly what he would've done for that Jets-Colts lateral) and everything about ESPN lately (including Primetime) is just headache-inducing...from the music to the lights to the set to the commentary. The NBC set seems very comfortable and relaxed. I like how they have reporters stationed in each stadium, I like PK (say what you want about him, but when he starts his sentences with "I just got off the phone with..." it makes me feel in the loop), and they've been getting better with showing more highlights. Bettis has some work to do...but it's a decent package, you can tell they're trying to be a little different and I think it's working. A good way to end the football day. As far as the games go, they've been home run matchups every single week. Next week looks good too (PIT-SD) but the week after (DEN-OAK) should be a snoozefest.
  22. Agreed. And also, he shouldn't have been such a major d!ck.
  23. So when can we expect Lenny P to write something along the lines of, "Of course, there's no telling how well Losman might be playing right now had last season's buffoon of a coach, also picked by my bestest buddy in the whole wide world, allowed him to play full-time."
