  1. That chickenbone neck pretty much sums up his incredibly durable career.
  2. You're right, but if I remember correctly, it was mostly King himself who was cawing for Romo as far back as training camp. When Parcells put Romo in last month, I don't remember a ton of media outlets hailing this as saving the Cowboys season. If anything, it was more of a "lets see how this works" type of thing because they were floundering at that point. I think most figured he had a decent shot at playing better than DB, but I don't think many counted on him to do this well. He has looked very good.
  3. Bruce isn't up there yet.
  4. I don't know, he had a lot to say about Tony Romo today. He's also written A LOT about Drew Brees and the Saints the last few weeks. It's like witht any other national media outlet, and it's the reason that people B word about Buffalo never being featured on ESPN in any sort of fashion. If the Bills want to be noticed they have to DO SOMETHING. Yesterday's win was great, and dramatic, and quite possibly a turning point in Losman's career, but it was one week. Now, if JP can put together 3 or 4 performances like that in a row people (e.g., King, ESPN, everyone else we so desparately crave respect from) will take notice as they have with Romo, Brees, Gore, Colston and other unlikely storylines this season.

  6. Considering Dallas plays another game in approximately 90 hours and they did end up winning, they'll probably keep him around a little longer.
  7. The Silver Fox
  8. Well if that is indeed the case we all know who we can blame for that.
  9. Oh, I think so too. I've liked what I've seen out of him so far. Wasn't a shot at Stafford...more just disappointment that another one of the "regulars" is going out as soon as one comes back in.
  10. Damnit! Well, more playing time for Stafford I guess.
  11. Errr, didn't meant to offend the Marty Biron fan club. Obviously the fact that Tallinder and Lydman have been out has something to do with it because Miller allowed four goals in each of his last three starts before going down. But you have to admit that Marty hasn't looked like the supposedly tradeable commodity that many have made him out to be. If I'm an NHL team in need of a goaltender right now (Boston, Phoenix) I'll calling San Jose or Anaheim before Buffalo. THAT SAID, yes they are winning. So I'm happy. But you can't score 5-7 goals every night as was proven on Wednesday.
  12. Yeah, and I just saw George Seifert at the airport. Seriously though, I believe you. That is awesome news.
  13. But how can you say that fairly watching only one quarter of each game?
  14. Miller hasn't played since the Toronto loss almost two weeks ago with a "minor" injury in the groin area. He's been skating the past two days though, and according to Lindy has been improving. They've been winning, but Marty's been letting in 3 or 4 per night plus a few softies here and there.
  15. Great news. Hopefully Miller can return soon. Marty has been underwhelming in relief.
  16. Yeah, giving up on the Bills is one of our favorite things to do. Forgive us for thinking that a 3-6 team racked with injuries, a piss-poor OL, no #1 WR, and a QB that looks more like a first-round bust might not be playing be in January.
  17. Tasker and Ralph didn't make the semi-final cut.
  18. Doesn't matter. Andre isn't getting in before Irvin and there's no way they're both getting in, PLUS another Bill (Thurman) who is all but a lock. As far as our fearless leader goes...he'll be enshrined someday...but it's not looking as if he'll be around to see it.
  19. If I know Marv like I think I do, he's got TSW bookmarked as his top favorite.
  20. He's perfected the sweatshirt and trackpants look which is very popular with the 18-55 weekend male demographic.
  21. I know this was a recent topic of conversation round here, so I figured some might be interested in this: SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Mike Nolan and Jack Del Rio are ready to suit up. The San Francisco coach and his Jacksonville counterpart have the NFL's permission to wear dress suits designed by Reebok during two games this season. Nolan is expected to debut his old-school outfit - consisting of a black suit, a white shirt and a red-and-gold-striped tie - at the 49ers' home game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Del Rio also will wear a suit-and-tie ensemble in Monday night's home game against the New York Giants. http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews...ws/16022591.htm
  22. Hmm, It Takes A Nation Of Millions getting the nod over Fear Of A Black Planet? Interesting.
  23. Patrick and Olbermann, although revolutionary at the time, ruined SC for years to come by giving anchors and producers the leeway to make the show a standup routine. Sadly, this newfound gateway into the comedy world happened to coincide with the completely retarded thought process of "Hey, I don't think real sports fans actually want to see more highlights. I think they want the Budweiser Hot Seat, they want Sean Salisbury screaming at John Clayton, Stephen A. Smith screaming at everybody, and they want 25 different varities of Top 10 lists. Yes that's what they want." And hence you have the POS product that we are left with today.
  24. I'm about 100% sure that the same people who oversee the team's color schemes aren't the same people who scout offensive linemen and sign free agents. Yes, ultimately Ralph may have the final say...but come on.
