  1. Brad is the best thing about the station, by far.
  2. I love these new smileys.
  3. Seriously, this is the most entertaining thread of the day. One guy insists that the starting CB/KR was playing on the offensive line for a play, while others have checked the replay and are telling him that's not the case. Please feel free to keep this up. I only have a half hour left at work and this can help it to really fly by.
  4. Well, the point is if you're a cold weather team (or any team really) you're supposed to WANT four home games after Thanksgiving. Especially two of them are against arguably the league's best and your supposed hated rival. Selling those games out should not be as much of an issue as it's been, and if people want to use weather as an excuse that is completely lame.
  5. This is an interesting thread
  6. I don't think it has anything to do with being ashamed or scared. I think it has to do with recognizing talent. With the exception of the last two weeks, if you can honestly tell me that for most of the games of Losman's career you said to yourself, "Wow! This kid is amazing!" then more power to you. For the rest of us, he's just now starting to show that he might actually be okay so naturally fans and the media will give him his props. For the most part, JP was painful to watch and there were plenty of weeks where it looked like he would never, ever get it. Over the past two weeks, we've seen some of that raw talent start to shine through and some of that cockiness that TD loved so much turn into outright confidence and leadership.
  7. Well, I guess we should turn on WGR to find out. But you can't use weather as an excuse for last week's game. That was about as good as it can possibly get for two days after Thanksgiving. Anyway, I think the several thousand or so who haven't bought tickets for the remaining games, and have in the past, may have already used their "sports budget" on the hockey team that has virtually no tickets remaining.
  8. Mmm, nope. That's weak. That was certainly never a problem during the Super Bowl years and it wasn't a problem the last two seasons.
  9. Pasquarelli is nodding emphatically in agreement.
  10. Or Miami has beaten Chicago, Denver, Kansas City and the Lions (we didn't) over the past month. If the Bills can pull out a win over a quality opponent (e.g., San Diego this week) you'll see them move up and maybe even pass the Dolphins.
  11. Schopp is becoming absolutely insufferable. I don't mind the station as a whole, but I just can't listen to Schopp and the Bulldog. Howard Brad Sabres coverage Schopp I'd like to thank the new smileys for making that possible.
  12. Can you buy a Darcy Tucker jersey?
  13. I think Ben has to come back stronger next season. An offseason without a Super Bowl hangover and a motorcycle crash will probably do him well. Although I still wonder about him, because yes...even though he is a SB winning QB, I have never been totally blown away by him at any point. As far as Eli goes, I really liked what SI's Jeffrey Chadiha wrote about him: It's time to stop hyping this third-year New York Giants quarterback and to begin accepting that he's not destined for greatness. All Manning is at this stage is a good player who needs to work hard to become a better one. If his name were Eli Wagstaff, we'd be talking about him with the same uncertainty we apply to Houston's David Carr. 14. I love it. It was only three or four weeks ago that the CBS pregame show were asked to rank the QB class of '04. Boomer and Dan both scoffed at the notion that JP should even be included and both ranked him last. Given the recent play of Eli and Ben, I wonder where Losman's current standing would be.
  15. Yeah this topic is so unpopular and tired that there are currently four threads about it (including this one) on the front page of TSW three days later.
  16. That's a close call. Phoenix is brutal and definitely brings that division down. But three of the top five teams in the league (Anaheim, Dallas, SJ) are all in the Pacific. Imagine being a team like the Sharks and having to play 16 games total against the Stars and Ducks? No thanks. That said, the NE division is a little more balanced, top to bottom. Any game Buffalo has against a divisional foe is not a gimmie by any means and I think that could be said for any Northeast team. After slow starts, Ottawa and Boston are starting to come on (Bruins have beat the Leafs twice in four days). The Habs look like they could be for real and Toronto is...well, Toronto. If the Bruins continue to improve as they have over the last three weeks or so, there's a shot that all five teams could wind up in the playoffs. Not likely of course, but they could all be in contention.
  17. Sure you're not thinking of someone else? Irv hung it up years ago...late 90s I think.
  18. I'd rather have Big Papi
  19. A simply amazing movie. It gets better every time I watch it.
  20. There were artist's renderings of both of these "projects" in the Buffalo News at some point. A certain death knell for any prospective Buffalo landmark.
  21. Gasp, the media will pay attention to Losman/the Bills if they are successful? Whaaaa?? What a stunning revelation. Why is everyone so bent on what the media thinks about us??
