In His Three Years With the Bills....

JP Losman = guaranteed Hall of Famer Bledsoe = lucky to have ever completed a pass in his career -
NE loses Patten, he signs with skins
Shameless Homer replied to VABills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes speed to burn for a tight end. I don't think he'll be converting to WR. Particularly not with Givens around. One of those tight ends Graham, Fauria or Watson has to go. Love to see Watson Or Graham here. -

It's not just who isn't coming to the Pats, it's who they've lost. Roman Phifer, smart 4th LB Joe Andruzzi, better than average road grader Ty Law, shut down corner Troy Brown, triple threat; WR, punt returner, CB(3 INTs) David Patten, 44 catches 7TDs(tied team lead) I hope I'm wrong, because he's a great guy, but Tedy Bruschi may have played his last game. And of course, Weis and Crennel arguably the 2 best coordinators in the league. Hollywood will tell us that none of this matters, but as a rival AFC East team I think parity may be returning to our division. -
Ty Law to meet with Bills Saturday?
Shameless Homer replied to seq004's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True dat. But remember it was Ty's cousin who "borrowed" Ty's bag and left the stuff in it. LMAO. I don't like this deal. Ty is going to be too expensive. -
Well, he can talk the talk. That leaves a little other business to take care of.

When things get a little slow a little Drew bashing always lifts the spirits. New angle, clever too.

Donahoe's making this day feel like a frikkin' root canal.

I'd take Troy Brown first. Much more versatile.

People in Management positions: Need some help
Shameless Homer replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I own a small company and much of what we do involves working with software unique to our type of business. We invest a fair amount of time, unproductive to us, getting the new employees up to speed. These are skills they will carry with them to their next job and will enhance their marketability. I would appreciate it any time an employee could give us all the lead time possible before leaving. Helps us to train someone and of course gives us more time to search for the right person to fill the slot. If you can give your employer a month my guess is they would be thankful rather than spiteful. -
He's looking for very big cheese. His cap hit was 12.5 for the Pats.

Troy Brown not tendered an offer
Shameless Homer replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lots of quotes, but no responses. Lots of name calling. That's what folks do when they got no game. Keep your advice to yourself. You bring your smug sh-t to a Bills board pontificating about football, but the truth is your knowledge pales to your bragadaccio. -
Troy Brown not tendered an offer

You're rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic my friend. Losing Crennel, Weis, and 3 player-coaches like Phifer, Law and Brown is going to be immense. Belichick is outsmarting himself this time. And Bethel Johnson is gone too. He actually spoke in less than glowing terms to the media about his coach during the season. That's sure death. It'll come in the most damaging way possible, 2 or 3 days before the season starts, for maximum pain. You excited about Ted Johnson beating out Phifer? Talk about losing a step, TJ's got a bicep pull coming up I would guess. -
Troy Brown not tendered an offer
Shameless Homer replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you don't think that cutting a guy ("no contract tendered") like Troy Brown who was one of the only players in the NFL to go both ways this year and thereby lose an opportunity at an incentive clause won't have a ripple effect in that locker room than you are deluded. This kind of stuff does affect a team. How else do you explain the 31-0 win the Bills achieved over a superior Pats team in 2003? Hey I hear Roman Phifer got f'd too, huh? -

Without Crennel and Weis to provide the buffer my answer is a resounding yes. -
Troy Brown not tendered an offer

Belichick is as cold as they come. Brown is just one in a long line of guys who are asked to take the back-loaded contract. Give your all to the team and when your payday finally comes, take a hike, chump. Milloy, Law, Spires, Big Ted Washington, Woody, and on and on. They had a tight end named Wiggins who caught 10 passes in the Snow Bowl game, dropping any one of which would have meant a loss, no Super Bowl. He wasn't offered a contract in the offseason. Last year he led the Vikes in catches. Troy Brown was due to get a $400,000 incentive bonus for 40 catches. Instead they say "Troy learn to play cornerback and save our asses this season, but sorry no 40 catches for you" Kraft and Belichick line their pockets while guys like Bruschi go out and nearly kill themselves for team friendly salaries. It's a joke, and there is a lot of animosity in that locker room. No guaranteed contracts but ask Robert Edwards and Drew Bledsoe what happens when you get hurt on the job for the NE Pats. -
LOVE this Mike Sherman quote on JP
Shameless Homer replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are simply incapable of an objective interpretation of either Bledsoe or Losman. In addition to the above brilliance, you stated recently that even if Losman's numbers this year were worse than Bledsoe's in 4 major QB categories that Losman would still be the better QB. People are supposed to take you seriously? You're a one trick pony Rico, and the trick ain't all that good. -

Rodney Peete has been released
Shameless Homer replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It'll certainly short circuit any "quarterback controversy". How bad would Losman have to be for the fans to chant "Rodney, Rodney, Rodney"? -
"I'm so sorry that you didn't win best picture Martin. I shall be making it up to you later."

Why has One Bills Drive been so quiet?
Shameless Homer replied to Mike32282's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
mega-blockbuster uber-deal coming....something on the order of..we are trading our entire team to New England for theirs plus 20 or 30 grand. It's always quiet just before the Bills braintrust rocks our world. Hang on!! -
Bucs prefer opposite approach to Bills at QB
Shameless Homer replied to RJsackedagain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There was absolutely no lead-in to the comment. It could be that some annoying local sports jerk may have asked, " Why aren't we going with the young guy like they are in Buffalo?" No coach wants to be known as a copycat coach, particularly with the ego Chucky has and thus the reply. In my mind it makes it less of a zing at the Bills. -
