Blowout. City.

This statement I will agree with. The Bills have no chance to win in Foxboro, and a next-to-no-chance in Orchard Park.

Poorly juxtaposed: Atlanta and Miami - terrible sports cities. -

Yeah, that's it. Sellouts for 13 straight years don't mean a damn thing. -

Ahh, that old chestnut, eh? It's the same everywhere, save for maybe Atlanta and Miami: When teams are good, the attendance is good. When they're bad, attendance is bad. Foxboro's been sold out since '93, including the end of the dreadful Pete Carroll years, and Belichick's first year clearing the garbage that Bobby Grier polluted the roster with. But I'm sure RWS has sold out every game since the Super Bowl run of the 90s, right? Supported the Donahoe Days of Thunder without fail? The Bledsoe experiment? Please. There are real fans of every team; they're not indigenous just to Buffalo. -

Aww, I'm just ramping it up for the opener. It's all in good fun. -

Ahh, yes... might as well attack when someone doesn't agree with you. Hostility from getting B word-slapped time and again by a divisional rival is something I can at least understand from the bad-old days. -

Excellent post. Enthusiasm is great. Blind worship is another. -

Well, with 4 or 5 losses probable (at NYJ, swept by New England, at best a split with Miami) the Bills will need to pummel the NFC. -
I can't wait to resurrect this thread at about 4:30pm on September 10th.

The Patriots WR core isn't what the Bills D will be worrying about. I think that the Bills will key on stopping Ben Watson and the running game. I'd be surprised if the Pats' WR caught more than 5-6 passes in the opener. The TEs and RBs will catch the bulk of passes for New England. I don't think the Bills can move the ball on the Pats' D, at least not yet. I like the unn-dah in the game.

It'll be a lot closer if Holcomb starts. If The Loss-man plays, members of 2BD will be diving under cars on the freeway.

Ahh, the rose-colored glasses are always rosier week one, aren't they? Of course, the Bills are1-0 in Week One games against the Patriots this decade. So you've got that going for you... which is nice.

And what's with all the weird obsessions with Brady on here? Weird. -

I don't know about that. There was a lot to be proud of just getting out of the AFC four years in a row. I loved the sign after the 3rd or 4th AFC title someone had at RWS that said, "We're back... DEAL WITH IT, AMERICA!" I feel that way about everyone at TBD with regard to the Defending World Champion New England Patriots. -

I didn't sling any mud, but I'm ready to if you're willing. -

I don't want to piss in anyone's Corn Flakes - and I'm avoiding the easy jokes here - but there is no positive legacy outside of WNY for the Bills of the nineties. -
Haters, every single one of you. It's sad to see that some members of this site have sold their souls and will be pulling for the Dolphins. Somewhere, a single tear runs down Jim Kelly's cheek.

Patriots week just isn't the same...

Pretty common knowledge in these parts. The problem is that the guys filling in now aren't getting it done. The depth isn't there. -

Yeah, and my team certainly isn't up to the high standard they've established for themselves. CB - Ellis Hobbs, R CB - Asante Samuel, 3rd year S - Artrell Hawkins, 4th game as a Patriot S - Eugene Wilson (a beast alongside Harrison, a p*ssy without) -

You guys are way too down on your club. Did you have a horrible loss on Sunday? Yes. But the Bills are not facing the '03 or '04 Patriots. This is a Patriot club that you'll be able to throw on with 2 good WR on the outside if Losman can stand up to heavy blitzing. The Pats can't get any pressure without sending the house, and this will provide one on one matchups - Evans vs. Hobbs and Moulds vs. Samuel are a great matchup for the Bills. -
Losman developing nicely for you guys

I'm worried about the game this weekend. -

Which makes Tom Brady all the more remarkable. Brady never went through the "pain of development" stage. Losman is going to be a fine NFL quarterback. -

Losman's going to have a good game against the Pats next week if the Bills O-Line can handle massive doses of blitzing. Evans & Moulds should have a field day against Hobbs, Samuel, Wilson, and Hawkins. Should be a high-scoring affair. -
Yeah, Lord knows there were no splooge-fests with the Bills in the early 90's. Puh-leeze. America hated the Bills early last decade because they were all over the place - the courage of Kelly & Co. to pick themselves up after SB losses. Berman's 'Nobody circles the wagons' comments epitomize that. To the victors go the spoils. The 90s Bills deserved it, so do the new millenium Patriots.
