  1. Not that crazy that NE would cut Meriweather. The Patriots really like Patrick Chung. Meriweather has been one of those guys who is athletic, but doesn't have a ton of football sense. Plus they don't think he works hard enough to improve.
  2. Yep. This team needs a quality left tackle or no QB will be safe behind that line. Bell is AWFUL.
  3. Anyone else notice the fact that the Patriots are starting an untested left tackle tonight against Tampa? That raises all sorts of interesting possibilities. Can you imagine if Brady was taken out by a blind side hit in an exhibition game? The chowderheads would freak out.
  4. I'm guessing many Bills fans are unhappy because they have been experiencing delayed gratification for about the last 16 years. Your proposal is logical, but emotions rule when you've experienced a big nut punch for over a decade.
  5. Or a better pipeline to PED's from the Dominican Republic.
  6. Al Davis and Ralph Wilson may be senile, but Mike Brown is the worst owner in the NFL, period.
  7. I won't be upset because I've accepted it as a lock that Poz is leaving. Didn't anyone get the hint when the Bills store started selling his jerseys on clearance?
  8. ITA. For all we know Mrs. Kraft told him to go take care of business. None of us know what really went on.
  9. I don't spend as much time on The Stadium Wall during the off-season as I'd like to, so I was very sad to read about Scott's loss this morning. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
  10. Scott, please accept my condolences for the loss of your mother. This must be a difficult and painful time for you, but I am positive you will take comfort from the tributes to her and the support from friends.
  11. Whitner is a legend in his own mind, but not on the football field. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDNWndU7wRE
  12. http://twitter.com/#!/AdamSchefter Bills announced that Tom Modrak has been relieved of his duties as Vice President of College Scouting.
  13. AdamSchefter/twitter At this hour, Brandon Marshall's wife is in jail for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and he is in intensive care with a stab wound.
  14. Reportedly, he is expected to recover completely in 2 to 3 weeks because the knife didn't cut any major organs. Rumors on the net are that his wife has been arrested for aggravated assault, but I'm looking for a confirmation.
  15. This guy has had a history of domestic violence. We don't know all the details yet, but it is possible his abusive behavior led to this.
  16. That's the same as this fan rendition. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5083/5322262795_98a2a94250.jpg
  17. I'd be all for the 60's throwbacks with the standing buffalo helmet being the full time unis and the 90s super bowl era unis being an alternate.
  18. I kinda liked seeing Bertie when he had teeth. And hair. http://i.cdn.turner.com/sivault/si_online/covers/images/1973/0226_large.jpg
  19. You usually read stories about ex-players getting busted, but this is a nice story about a good person. Bless Hamby for giving back to his community.
  20. Can't argue with the success he had with the Cowboys' defense.
  21. The Patriots Playoff Game Report Card in today's Boston Herald agrees with the OP. Pats Playoff Report Card
  22. Nantz was pretty biased. I had to laugh when he got on his high horse and got all snippy about the Jets' antics after Green scored. Simms said more or less, "there's a time for celebration and I think this is it." I think Nantz expected him to agree and it threw him off. Some of these announcers don't know what to do when the Patriots aren't winning. It completely ruins their scripted fellatio.
  23. I think they went to the connah spa ta get some jimmies to go ovah theah hoodsie cups before goin ta the mahkit to get b'dayduhs for dinnuh. On the way, they hit up the packie for some beahs.
  24. RIP Cookie. A genuine badass on the field. A man with a tremendous amount of pride. Sometimes that pride and stubbornness brought him trouble, but his role in the boycott of the 1965 AFL all star game in New Orleans should not be forgotten. The black players were not getting equal treatment or accomodations, and Cookie was one of the players who led a united front against prejudicial treatment. http://uareasuperstar2.net/65Boycott.html
  25. Gregg Williams's defense exposed today by a mediocre team.
