    I realized after the game, I hadn't consumed any Frank's Hot Sauce today. Bad karma completely my fault, not Stevie's.

    They said during the broadcast it was a "stinger", but it sure looked like Fred got hit right on the jaw and was concussed. Don't know if it was addressed post-game.

    The mental mistakes and game planning can be fixed. But the Jets' defense manhandled our offense so easily that I don't think it's something that can get a quick fix.

    The Jets are coming off their bye week have the advantage of time off for recovery and game planning. All I know is that this is a strange year in the NFL. There is so much parity that every team has to be ready to play hard for 4 quarters. There's no gimmes anymore. (Well unless you are playing Indianapolis.)

    I'm glad what people will remember about George Wilson is his stellar play today and not a simple statement of fact before the game. 9 tackles and a big interception. Rodney Harrison just called him the "defensive player of the year so far" on NBC. Whoa.

    Hull was the lynchpin of the Bills offensive line. His role in the no-huddle offense was underrated, but his teammates know how valuable he was. This is sad news.

    It's always fun to check out your photos. You capture stuff from a perspective we don't see on tv. Was there some drunk guy who ran out on the field? Saw the photo with the cops. Dude looks toasted. My favorite is the picture of Nick Barnett giving the victory salute after the game.

    There just isn't enough talent right now on this defense. Even if someone different was handling the defensive schemes, it would be a challenge to cover up the shortcomings of McKelvin covering WR, the linebackers covering TEs on pass plays, and the DL stopping RBs going around the outside of the line.

    QFT. Not too many teams win when they gain only 273 yards or have a starting CB like McKelvin getting toasted. Buffalo was outscored 20-3 in the second half and it wasn't all on the refs. The Bills are a team that has learned how to come from behind, but they still have to *consistently* hold a lead when they are ahead.
