Whatever happened to the brash, flashy, pouty Peerless? This new Peerless Price is a different breed altogether. Keeps his mouth shut and makes tough sideline catches. I daresay he has the best toes of an Bills WR in recent memory. That kind of body control tells me that even though the afterburners might not burn quite as hot, he takes the ART of being a WR very seriously. Happy to see him here. He's a nice complement to our new #1 Evans, and our new brash and flashy guy, Parrish. For lack of a better comparison, he fills the Lofton/Billy Brooks role. My level best, Eric C ChicagoRic

Nope. Ed really is right. When in doubt, try google or wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_Jeopardy

I've seeen every Chicago game............

Of course it's homerism! The 17-14 is my "I hope" score. On the other hand, I'm certainly not making any bets with all my Bears Fans buddies. I'd realistically put us at about a 33% chance of winning this game. My best, Eric C ChicagoRic -
...............be afraid! Right now, they are the class of their Conference. Make no mistake, the Bears are real and they are big and they are bad. In many ways, they are what I would most like the Bills to be. I'd consider them a good blueprint to a truly competitive team.---Take a look: Young QB with limited experience due to injuries: Losman? Nope. Grossman. The kid is on fire after 2 disappointing (injured) years. He is finding a field of explosive WR's--Nope, not Evans, Price, Reed, Parrish---try Monster Muhsin and Bernard Berrian and biggish and speedy TE Clark. They have a grinding power back at RB good with an injury riddled past-------T. Jones, not McGahee. Any finally, they have a fast and aggressive defense-----I won't name names, but DAMN ARE THEY GOOD. The Hasslebeck lead Seahawks looked bad tonight. Sure, no Shaun Alexander, but even with 3 to 4 top line WR's,, they were shut down. There are no weaknesses in this Bears's D. There are no Ellisons, Simpsons or Whitners to make rookie mistakes..and precious few slower old guys........the Bears have credible veterans at every defensive spot. Can we win? YES, but it will be a battle. Losman has yet to see a pass rush of this caliber, but I think our speedy WR corps can help to offset this. Also, McGahee might find some room to run to the weak side, away from Urlacher. The key here is to play a COMPLETE game on both sides of the ball and to get some bonus points from special teams. Bills 17, Bears 14.............but only if all goes right. Scared to heck by the Bears, ChicagoRic Eric C

I love how we pull out a win against a quality team and all some people can think to do is criticize a backup OL. Unreal. Enjoy the win, or stop being a troll. -

For what it's worth---good broadcast team today. Fairly unbiased, with good and informative observations. Donahoe is thinking ahead and analyzing the game quite well and Pitts is nicely low key as the play by play. -

Not a ton of yards for McGahee, but he is really running tough. Without the effort he's giving the passing game might not be quite as open. -

They are doing some good things out there, right? I just checked the official game thread. 90% negative. Whine whine whine. We're up 7-6 at halftime and getting the ball to start the 3rd quarter. Losman-accurate, aware, no mistakes. Evans--on a mission to honor #83 McGahee--running hard and BLOCKING WELL That is all. Eric C ChicagoRic -
Not bad at all, but improvements can be made. Great use of depth of field, and exposure is overall good. With Ramius' GF, maybe a little less boob would be better....The real impact here is in the eyes, and the downshirt shot is a bit distracting. I'd also like to see a bit more light on the shadowed side of the face and a slightly tighter crop on the whole thing---too much dead space on the left and right. Maybe a square crop? I like the second one better. Well posed, exposed and cropped. This is an impact picture. I would like to see a bit better use of depth of field here...you are just millimeters off. The picture is at its sharpest from the tip of her nose to the ends of her eyelashes. Her beautiful eyes are just a hair out of range. If you have the capability, then switch to manual focus and tweak it just a hair to get the eyes to really pop. I hope this is the kind of critique you were looking for. Very very nice work! Best regards, Eric C ChicagoRic

The secret formula is an M-80 and a slice of cheese pizza. Destructive, loud, AND messy!

Really? At 14, I was guilty of 7 of 10 of those things myself and my circle of friends had the rest covered hands down. Guess what? We all turned out alright. Kids test limits and that includes some minor lawbreaking. Yeah, if I could take my 36 year old self back in time, I'd give my 14 year old self a swift kick in the ass every now and then, but that's life. You can be the best parent of the best kid in the world, but if you think your 14 year old Johnny or Susie is a complete innocent then you are incredibly naive.

Personally, I think this is hilarious. I'd meow at the old lady too! Weren't any of you ever 14? Ever play hooky? Drink booze? Smoke? Stay out past curfew? Mess around with the neighbor girl? Blow up a mailbox? Shoplift? Beat someone up? Swear? Think impure thoughts? Just about every well-adjusted 14 year old should be a mild pain in the butt at the very least. I'd consider his harmless juvenile joke to be pretty normal. When you are 14, you test limits and get a great deal of satisfaction out of bucking the system in whatever little way you can. You can't drive, you can't work, you're in the middle of some crazy hormonal stuff---what else is there to do? MEOW!

Seems to me that Van Pelt's name has come up several times in the last few interviews with Losman. JP has credited AVP with helping his recent development, especially since he was named the "frontrunner". Is JP just saying nice things to the press, or does the influence of a mentor just a few years removed from the modern game truly have an impact? Discuss. Regards, Eric C ChicagoRic
