NFL Week 8: Packers at Bills - post game thread
davefan66 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Definitely a rough outing for the offense from what we’re are used to. Allen was a bit off. Was he forcing? Was it the play calls? I think it was a little of both. Had a week off after a big game against KC. Maybe they took the packers a little lightly? End all is good teams win. We won. Couple of close ones against the chiefs and packers, happens to all teams throughout a season. Need the jets game to be a fix it game and get on track for the remainder of the season. -
Def lack of energy in the building last night. Less standing and cheering when the defense was on the field. Didn’t seem to me people were more intoxicated, although that is pretty much what happens for night games. I sit upper deck and found there to be a ton of new people. Wonder if this game had a high resale?

Chargers CB JC Jackson done for the year- ruptured patellar tendon
davefan66 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Won’t say most overrated, but if the chargers bothered to watch him against the Bills they wouldn’t have signed him. Dude was bad. -
A lot of great albums listed. Gotta add Frampton Comes Alive.

McCafferey is undoubtably a huge talent. Based on his injury history, salary and the cost to get him I am plenty happy the Bills didn’t grab him. If healthy, he could help whatever team he landed with. The Bills though have many talented players and not sure where he would fit in without taking the ball from someone else. Surely didn’t want another Sanders getting the ball over Gabe.

Must admit I love when Nance and Romo call our games…
davefan66 replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
They are both good. Romo was a bit of a KC homer yesterday, kinda pulled back later in the game. What I want from Romo is more insider football knowledge. When he started, he would call what he thought the next play was. Understand how that probably doesn’t sit well with coaches. Would like more explanation of what the QB saw on a play, or why a play worked. -
Give Singletary the ball and he makes plays.

They are trying to contain instead of hitting him. Can’t give him one extra second. -

Get McKenzie off the field. -
Yes, and don’t break the bank. A basic “hdtv” antenna will do a fine job, and great picture to boot. I like watching the game over the air and another TV playing Redzone. Edit. The internet has plans to make your own HDTV antenna. Did it and found my basic antenna does the same job. make your own “Leaf” type antenna Not recommending that particular leaf antenna, have a similar that works great.

I wasn’t saying CMC would be a disruption. The fall out from adding him could be. Should have been more clear in my post.
-
Disruption not him personally. Disruption to reduced play for DS and Cook. Won’t keep that many RB’s and Moss probably is the odd man out. May go another way, but guys who have been playing together for some time, won’t be. May be a disruption in the locker room, may not be. I get it. So that answers the main question, why doesn’t DS get the bulk of the work. They must not believe in him. That being said, don’t believe he has had a great line in front of him. The play calling is pass heavy - set up the run with the pass. I don’t think he’s a bad RB, hadn’t gotten the greatest of chances.
-
CMC has more potential. His injury history negates that. I think if given the ball consistently, DS could be a very good back. Showed flashes last weekend and then was pulled for Moss and then Cook. If DS had the hole Cook did on his TD, he’d have scored also. When given the ball again, he made a nice couple of runs. I didn’t see any obviously mistakes for him being pulled, but it seems apparent this coaching staff is no settled on DS being RB1. That being said, I have no interest in CMC because of his injury history and the disruption on the team. No way we keep him past this year anyway with a cap hit like he has. I’m sure he’d restructure, just don’t see him ever being cap friendly.

Many, many stroke victims recover fully with no side effects, and many have limited residual side effects and can resume their lives. My wife for one was back to work in 6 months working in the medical field. Yes, many can have life changing, debilitating side effects from a stroke and never recover fully. That’s why it is important to know the signs and symptoms of a stroke and act FAST. Identifying a stroke
