Lombardi was talking about what teams got value this weekend. He mentioned Maualuga (who went to Cinci) "took a lot of phone calls and turned them down". Do potential draftees actually say no to the team that wants them? If so, does the team give a darn and draft the player anyways? If so, glad we did not get him if he's dictating this early in his career.

nope. DJ won't be happy until he has 1/3 of the roster signed as DB's! Maybe Wendling, but I do like Wilson though. Switched positions and has been more than admirable.

Bowen was having a really good training camp prior to his injury. Also, only explanation as to why no LB in the draft, or FA. Unless they do get a LB in FA after the draft. Anyway, I did LOVE the Bowen pick last year, and do see him ing the starting lineup at some point.

So what you are saying is any of the top 10 draft picks in the last 10 years are not as good as Ellison based on they had no NFL experience at that time???

Why? Mitchell, Poz and Bowen start Thomas, Dig, and last years starter Ellison as backups. Whats the problem with that? BTW, a good pass rush (Maybin) helps our LB's. Also, I fully expect Maybin to get a shot at LB. Fast, burst, and size kinda lends itself to LB.

as much as I love our draft, it has kinda fallen to us. Give props to the FO, as they have taken the righ players for us.

Except for the fan revolt, I would also. Plays great in preseason, and trade him for a 3rd or 4th?? By then, some of the stink if off of him.

Actually last years is still to be proven, but if Bowen and Hardy prove able to play, it would be one of the best in a long while. I think Corner has proven he can be a good player, and the Bills seem pretty high on Bell. I ABSOLUTELY love this draft for us! ....on paper... Think we did draft starters with our first 4 and with Nelson he will start behind Fine this year. LOVE OUR DRAFT!

Read elsewhere he has trouble keeping his weight. Not a concern, as hopefully the pro S&T guys can get him on the right track. Tall dude, looks strong. If he is a receiving TE, bulk isn't an issue.

Big guy, recieving threat, soft hands, seems to run good routes. Fills a percieved need, as the jury is out on FIne, but if these were are top 2 TE's, that would be great with me.
