  1. "You'd go to cocktail parties back in those days and they looked at me, `What kind of a dope are you? ... ?" recalled Wilson. "I'd be standing in a corner having a drink by myself." Funny stuff! Good read.
  2. Probably the worst thing I have ever seen! Horrible, stupid, idiots. Just a bunch of overpaid athletes trying to prove anyone cares.
  3. Yeah, but Fuller did not have Walsh as his coach. Not taking away from Montana, but maybe Fuller would have been better under the tutelage of Walsh. As far as I'm concerned Trent's problem is coaching and supporting cast.. If you took TE and put him in Aikmen's place in the early 90's Cowboys and I bet he'd do just about as good. Emmitt, Irvin, the OL, and that coaching staff and Trent would look MUCH better. Toss in a good defense, and a lot of "bust" NFL QB's could flourish in that system.
  4. The will to win is what made all those guys what they were. That is the vast difference between our 90's teams vs. todays. I miss the total team effort.
  5. Against our O-line? If he does it against the Steelers this weekend, then I will be impressed.
  6. Seems somewhat logical with Stupar showing he can play. They did try this a few years back, and if I remember correctly, it didn't work well. I don't think we go with 4 TE's and we keep a true FB. I do find it interesting they are using McIntyre on screen plays and rushing as much as he has in the last two games, usually our FB's don't get real involved in the offense. Are they showcasing him for trade? Doubtful. Showcasing him for after he's cut? Maybe. Getting him involved to see what he can do? Probable.
  7. I was talking in generalities. More from last season, than last night. I know this is a TE thread but yes, I do think Lynch has trouble hitting the hole sometimes. Jackson runs behind the same line and seems to have a better ability to hit the hole.
  8. But Jaws loves him! I do think Trent can be a good, productive QB in this league. Like most other players in the league, you can only be as good as your supporting cast. It's not just TE, it's the O-line looking like swiss cheese, receivers not being in the right spot, RB's who don't hit the hole, DB's consistently playing too deep, ZERO pass rush and most important an inept coaching staff. Give Trent the O-line of the early 90's Cowboys and I'm sure not many fans would have a problem with his play.
  9. Can Stupar be stashed on the practice squad? Can't believe they'll cut either Shouman or Fine.
  10. Murph just said "Fitzpatrick pulled out early" poor guy....
  11. Well said, except no way we hire any of those guys if DJ is fired, no way.
  12. Looks like the FB will be a big part of our offense this year....
  13. Great, another reason for DJ to keep Trent and the starting offense to 1 series next week.
  14. Dude, you just picked of the 2nd string QB and your team is getting it's A$$ kicked. Spare me the high fives...
  15. You have a point. But you gotta admit they look horrible tonight.
  16. Hopefully anything less than the playoffs, or a 0-3 start. Problem is, new coaching staff = new players = another 3 or more years of this crud.
  17. Trent's going backwards? If the friggen OL could just give him some time to throw tonight.
  18. Hey, give 'em a break, they had ANOTHER tough camp under DJ. Probably just tired.....
