How Many Hours in a Day Do You Spend on the Internet?
davefan66 replied to T&C's topic in Off the Wall
An hour or so. Relax before work checking out various sits, and this one. Dabble after work. Days off? Much more. -
Scaffold for a 3rd?? 😂 Conditional pick if anything. Why? Because dude fell off a cliff this year. Why again? Because Buffalo would end up cutting him before finding a trade partner and teams know that. Had high hopes first few games. Dude seemed to play well and then slid downhill…fast. Oh. And not trading Mitch. Don’t believe Josh would let that happen.

Interesting if they jettison him. Picks vs franchise QB? I’ll take franchise QB! They are hard to come by. NFL went through a drought of college QB’s who transitioned to great NFL QB’s. College talent level is certainly getting better of late, but proven NFL franchise QB’s shouldn’t be trade bait. That being said, I don’t see Lamar as a top level franchise guy. I guess the Ravens also don’t. Wouldn’t even put him in top 10 QB’s. Superior athlete, not enough pocket QB skills when needed. Heck, I’d take Jimmy G over him.

Extended Warranties - Worthwhile, Worthless or Worth Considering?
davefan66 replied to SinceThe70s's topic in Off the Wall
Appliance warranties I’ve purchased, have never used. I figure the cost into what I’m willing to pay for appliance. I did try using it on a Westinghouse fridge, but the inner shell isn’t covered. Biggest POS fridge I ever bought. Cars? Every time on a used car. I work out what I feel the car is worth via Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds. Make my offer including the extended warranty at half the quoted cost rolled into one number. As long as I feel comfortable I’ve gotten the deal I want, I’ll get the car with the warranty. Use it once, it probably pays for itself and then some. -
Daboll/Hodgins - Does their success bother you?
davefan66 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s what happens when you have an elite team. Good players don’t make the roster and good coaches leave. Not bitter at all. -
And? What does this have to do with adding a guy to help bolster our defensive staff? If it’s pointing out what a failure Beane is as GM? Doesn’t work.

Heartbreaking. Administering CPR is a very difficult task to do properly knowing you need to save the life of the person you are working on. I couldn’t imagine giving CPR to a family member like that, especially if it for the first time on another person. Kudos to her daughter for being able to do so! My wife in 2013 had a cardiac ablation to fix her Atrial Fibrillation. During an ablation they snake a wire through your arteries to the heart and “zap” little parts of the heart muscle to eradicate the irritated areas causing the uneven heartbeat. During this process, my wife suffered a “mild” stroke. My wife had left sided weakness and more than moderate expressive aphasia. It took 6 months of hard work for her to get back to work, and continues to have very mild aphasia to this day, especially when she is tired. What scares me is when Jessica wrote “Now we come to the realization that all of that is most likely gone. That she won’t be able to be that person anymore”. There is a period of recovery where you see the most recovery, and then it levels out. I hope and pray that Kim will have continued improvement and regain as much of herself as she can.

I believe in Beane and McD. I need to see what Beane does this off-season though. Will he be able to fill holes and keep players we need? Will he draft a few starters in key positions, and add quality depth? Can he hit on a few FA’s that are cap friendly? Will he “mortgage” the future, or manage the cap without causing future problems? If he can score a WR2, interior Oline, Dback depth and either resign Edmunds or replace him with a good player and I think we would be set for next year. Big shopping list, but let’s see what Beane can do.

Ryan Fitzpatrick better option for QB coach
davefan66 replied to Figster's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not sure why we look at players like Fitz and believe they’d want to coach? Dude has a great gig right now and made a lot of money playing football. Don’t see why he’d be motivated to be a coach. -
Cowboys looking for an OC - part ways with Moore
davefan66 replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kinda surprising. Problem in Dallas isn’t offensive coaching, it’s Dak. He’s just not a top tier QB. -
Does that include the rookie starting QB getting hurt early on? Not able to throw the ball? Niners had a real chance to win this. If not for the 3 and 4 and outs, the Eagles wouldn’t have scored as much as they did. Much different game if Niners play their style of game and defense isn’t behind the 8-ball.

I hope so. Concerned this year the cap is truly an issue for FA’s
