  1. Defenses will adjust to it, so a Read-option QB better be a great pocket passer as well.. For it to remain successful you have to have the personnel to balance multiple styled attacks to keep D's honest
  2. More then likely this is all Parker and Parker is desperately trying to save face with his client, to whom he over sold his worth and cost him plenty of solid guaranteed money. Maybe Byrd will actually grow MORE tired of Parker's BS the more he gets to stew on the reality that he gave up great money because he was told he deserved the highest paid S money and should not cave. No team is going to pony up a 1st rd pick + for a gimpy S who's agent is Parker.
  3. Thad at least showed the ability to make plays with his feet. But his passing was inaccurate. I'd definitely keep him over Leinahrt
  4. hitting the sauce a little early
  5. if there is contract language that supports it, then by all means... enforce it
  6. What the hell does that have ot do with anything. .Plenty of single parent children have grown up and shown how to defeat adversity that has to be the lamest thing I've read in a long long time
  7. do you have 100% proof of that it happened, and happend back then, and is it in his contract that a workout bonus can be cancelled if he fails a piss test ? Unless language is put in the contract you got nothing, and if we start allowing this type of guilty till proven innocence the end result will be more horrifying You don't get to change laws because that is what you want
  8. Unless their is an arrest clause that cancels it he has to pay it, and rightfully so. Did he complete the criteria for the workout bonus ? if the bonus gets to be cancelled then what criteria did he meet in the signed contract that allows cancellation, was their a clause that in there that allows cancellation ? The guy has yet to be convicted as well, so you or nobody gets to treat him that way until he is found guilty by a jury of his peers. That is one of the basic the basic premises of our constitution Hernandez appears to be guilty, but until all the evidence is presented he is not technically guilty, and all should be wary of such quick judgements regardless of what we choose to believe
  9. I own that T-Shirt.. but the fact is associating a football game/form of entertainment with child-birth should draw the ire of woman who have gone through childbirth
  10. If he stayed in Buffalo it would of been because he was a decent person and took the solid deal the Bills had on the table. he wouldn't have played the hold out games. But he wasn't and he isn't so he deserves every single bit of condemnation I do criticize Byrd and I have lost plenty of respect for the guy and really expect him to be traded. I blame Eugene Parker more so, but Byrd refusing to sign a franchise tag that will set him up for life regardless, as well as not show up at OTA's to at least get acclimated with the coaches etc.. you can bet the farm I don't have much respect for Byrd at this point.
  11. Kolb has 0 upside. He is just experienced. that being said I am praying EJ wins the camp battle
  12. trade Byrd IMO. it's a shame but I wouldn't play that game with Parker. just grab all you can for him, and move on. In fact any player that comes to the table with Parker I would move.
  13. not a fool, just allowing his adrenaline to get the best of him. He made a tough grab and allowed his adrenaline fueled emotion take control. he made a mistake and the coach called it out quickly. If he does it again then we'll start calling him a fool. if he learns his lesson then the mistake was a good one to learn now
  14. don't forget next year we have dead cap space because of FItz Also EJ has yet to be signed so subtract another $1.5 If we roll over that cap space to next year we will have moderate cap space next year. Right now our 2014 cap is about $105 million with no expectation of the cap going up much at all next year. So if we roll over $17 mil and we are hypothetically $17 mil under the cap next year we have a $34 mil cap for next year. Not too shabby but not huge either. So yes I see us using the money to sign some of our own, one way or another. but $19 mil under right now doesn't mean we should go on a spending spree either. if you notice the trend the last few years we always have a moderate amount of money each off-season. The Bills are doing a decent job of maintaining the cap each year.
  15. http://www.buffalobills.com/media-center/videos/ he says that its more about having more time to learn the offense instead of having to go to class etc... He can focus on it more
  16. so a team that goes through a bad period and needs desperate help to get back on track is punished ? a team that has been on a tear dominating gets even more ammo to continue its dominance. this is the absolute worst idea ever
  17. yeah that hasn't worked out to well
  18. the players are the ones who choose not to sign reasonable deals and hold out for bigger money and end up playing on a Franchise contract If they go that route they best be willing to take the consequences of being injured on a franchise deal. A bird in the hand is always better then 2 in the bush
  19. The NFL will put some money into the kitty. but the fact is we either build a new stadium or just say goodbye to the Bills. No new owner is going to stay at the Ralph. that is fact. It has to be indoor retractable roof styled stadium, if not your wasting your time. A few of you might not want it but I guarantee the majority would, and it is the wiser overall move.
  20. Why are you not confident in the stable of young OL Nix and company have brought in over the last few years to be groomed. Do you think a late rd G is going ot step in and outperform one of the many late rd UDFA practice squad groomed OL we have on the roster already ? 75 Hairston, Chris LT 6-6 330 24 2 Clemson 64 Eckerson, Hutch OL 6-6 310 25 1 South Carolina 62 Grant, Adam OL 6-6 320 26 1 Arizona 72 Sanders, Zebrie OL 6-6 318 23 R Florida State 73 Scott, Chris OL 6-4 320 25 2 Tennessee 61 Snow, David OL 6-4 305 23 R Texas 74 Brown, Colin C 6-7 326 27 2 Missouri 70 Wood, Eric C 6-4 310 27 4 Louisville 79 Pears, Erik RT 6-8 316 30 7 Colorado State 71 Young, Sam RT 6-8 316 25 3 Notre Dame 51 White, Chris OLB 6-3 238 24 2 Mississippi State 77Glenn, Cordy OT 6-5 343 23 R Georgia 60 Urbik, Kraig G 6-5 324 27 4 Wisconsin 68 Williams, Keith G 6-5 330 25 1 Nebraska We'll probably bring in an OL in this draft and/or UDFA, and we will see a few new OL make the roster and practice squads as some of the guys who've been around for a couple of years will be given another shot this year to impress> Those who make the jump stick around those who do not get replaced with a new batch of young groomable OL... The Bills IMO have a solid plan keeping the OL stables up. one thing I am not worried about is our OL situation
  21. really you actually record this, on both channels ? that's funny. I just walk by and watch the picks scroll by occasionally
  22. Does anyone really believe the Jets are going to draft a QB early when they have Sanchez on the hook for $14 million and CANNOT CUT HIM without it costing them $17 million in cap space http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-york-jets/mark-sanchez/ Do you really believe they won't give him another year ? They also brought Tebow along and gave up a draft pick to get him. I don't think the Jets wil take a QB in the 1st 2 rds they have holes every where.... If they stink bad enough this year they can pick a QB in 2014 and be closer to a place where cutting Sanchez won't kill their cap completely
  23. each QB has multiple strengths, and each QB has a concern or 2 that has everyone second guessing themselves yeah its a crazy year for QB's, but in the end I feel multiple QB's will have solid NFL careers from this draft
  24. they'll catch on. As more teams maneuver and create successes by doing unconventional things more and more sports journalist will pick up on it. Still having a top 10 pick means you get 1st crack at a top 10 player. The new NFL seems to be drafting more and more for fit then overall perceived BPA
