  1. These franchises are over bloated at the prices the wealthy pay for their status symbols. It's bound to come crashing down and have lots of these wealth barons holding their toys, but not before demanding a bailout New owners keep driving the prices up but they are not based in reality I don't see how they can maintain the course they are on. Some financial slight of hand wil only work for a little while longer. You can bet the farm that PSL's are not going to last, so many fans are stuck with these insane fees and can only sell them for pennies on the dollar, so what's next for these owners looking to generate revenue to justify their $billion purchases ?
  2. Actually John Butler, Tom Donahue, and Marv levy caused that problem.
  3. NO.. Sign youth players only. I want nothing to do with over 30 players on this team. They won't be here in 3 years when this team might be ready to make a run
  4. Landry Jones added but without 2nd round stats
  5. Thanks.. Had some time to kill threw this together. I tried to weight the career stats by adding the pass attempts which is definitely much higher for 4 year starters. I think the best way for me to do this is find to calculate INt's/pass attempts career and TD's/attempts career Adding the following. Give me some time and I will edit my original post Yards / attempt career EJ Manuel = 8.6 Tyler Wilson = 8.2 Geno Smith = 8.0 Matt Bakley = 7.9 Zac Dysert = 7.2 Ryan Nassib = 7.0 Mike Glennon = 6.9 Pass Attempts / TD's career Matt Barkely 1562/116 = 13.47 Geno Smith 1465/98 = 14.94 Mike Glennon 1069/63 = 16.96 Tyler Wilson 948/52 = 18.23 Ryan Nassib 1312/70 = 18.74 EJ Manuel 897/47 = 19.08 Zac Dysert 1672/73 = 22.9 Pass Attempts / INT's career Geno Smith 1465/21 = 69.76 Ryan Nassib 1312/28 = 46.85 Tyler Wilson 948/26 = 36.46 Mike Glennon 1069/31 = 34.48 Zac Dysert 1672/51 = 32.78 Matt Bakley 1562/48 = 32.54 EJ Manuel 897/28 = 32.03
  6. I agree with everyone that stats only tell a portion of the story. I'm no film rat so I rely on the usual outlets and stats to paint a picture I was wondering if anyone had insight or a way to add rankings that factored in strength of schedule, bowl games, surrounding cast into this to round out what the stats are telling us
  7. Landry Jones added Page #2 of this thread minus 2nd rd stats data ... http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/155930-qb-data-to-drive-the-deabte/page__st__20#entry2735225 Posted this on the BBMB thought I might as well toss it up here. http://secondroundst...om/qb-rankings/ the quoted section is info taken from the above link below I've taken the listings above, given 7 pts for a #1 ranking and 1 point for a #7 ranking and totaled them up. The challenge for some of you diehards is to find info on strength of competition, and performance against top competition, strength of supporting cast, and give us a ranking for that to offset/weight these stat calculation
  8. yeah we gain no cap space by cutting him. Sure we don't pay him out of pocket, but if you would of taken the time to take your own advice and read my post I explained it pretty well. but please keep knocking your skull against that brick wall.. Your brain might actually start functioning. I laugh at the idiocy of people on message boards. Quick with the insults zero comprehension see above Actually I did read exatly this when I replied. and like I said, if you took your own advice you would of realized I spelled it out for you. if they were going to cut Fitz just to save the coin they would of done it already
  9. there is no reason to cut him. he saves nothing, and if we cut him we have to pursue another FA QB which will suck $3-$5 million from our cap space. if he does get cut it won't be until we have enough QB's on the roster. Even so Fitz may have short comings, and won't start but IMO he would be a good mentor> I beleive he will restructre some because even after a pay reducing restructure here he won't make bigger money in FA
  10. I found it to be bloody entertaining lads
  11. nope this team is still essentially a 6-10 team....
  12. Fitz has issues. Nothing Metzellars said is any different then how the majority feel about Fitz. I had hopes Fitz could improve enough to give us a chance at the post season, but a defense that somehow got worse and a QB that never improved killed us. Bottom line is the BIlls must take a QB in this draft and semi-early to groom. They must also be very willing to do it again in 2014 and hope they have a QB on the roster that will warrant the eventual release of Fitz
  13. this years draft has some excellent OL LB WR and DL talent SO another team moving up to us @ #8 is a bit of stretch but we could ask for next years 1st and a swap of 1sts this year. this could set us up for a bold move upwards for a QB in 2014 however we still have to take a QB this year
  14. personally I feel that there are a few QB's in this draft that will develop into long time starters. There is just no immediate start form day 1 guys. I sure hope the Bills draft a QB this year.
  15. common sense says this Revis. You know the Jets salary cap issues, they have little choice Although a heads up from the brass would of been nice
  16. it didn't even need to be said. I assumed Marrone would do exactly that
  17. No if anything they will try to draft a younger option
  18. yeah this one is over the top ridiculous With a last name like Benedetto, you just know his motivation is to promote more soccer.
  19. could very well be that. But his college resume at the time made him a bit of reach.. All it does is back up my feeling that there will be 2-3 1st rd QB's drafted, and many of them have better bodies of work then those drafted in 1st rds years prior everything would of changed if we took a 1st rd QB. you're thought process is the nothing has changed mentality. You have it backwards. the only QB worth taking at #8 is Geno Smith, after that it's dicey. Maybe Barkley. if you tell me Geno Smith is not worth the #8 then I give you a big fat eye roll. In the same breathe I believe the pickins will be much slimmer when we pick in round 2. Plenty of teams will move on some of the remaining QB's before we get our 2nd round pick
  20. if you can afford the insurance then its a wise move.
  21. how in the world could any Bills fan not like Freddie ??????????????????????
  22. Geno smith is very worthy of a top pick.. It gets dicey after that but the Bills just do not have the luxury of waiting till round #2 or #3. When QB's like Gabbert Tannenhill and Locker go in round 1 you can bet he farm 3 or so QB's will be drafted in round 1 again this year
  23. you need 2 backs and CJ is not an every down back. .he will break down. Fred's experience is invaluable I don't think he should be cut As for Anderson... we need DE's letting him go is not a positive
  24. One of the lists of salary cap and teams I remember Reading. We are definitely in the top 10. Also I agree that the 20 million amount was tossed around before we cut ties with Barnett and Wilson. We should be at $26 mil under IMO.. but who knows for sure. wish there was a definitive site to reference but at this point the data out there it's hard to understand what is what and how much money we really have under the cap
