He was given that contract because of his durability (until last year) his ability to play through pain (ankle injury) and he was the most consistent lineman on the team. He was a team leader and was a positive influence in the locker room. He is a very serviceable LT but got benched because of being overweight and the fact that the cards paid Leonard Davis top money in 01 and essential he was being groomed to be the LT.
