  2. From what i have heard, if you are going to buy one or the other, NCAA is the way to go this year (at least until next-gen comes out). I am disappointed in the ratings because i always like playing with the Bills, and i like to have a good team that has stars i can utilize. I don't want JP to be terrible if in real life he is the real deal... I like my experience to be as authentic as possible.
  3. They moved from a 5th to a 4th. I don't see the harm in waiting at this point. It will be a day of "I told you sos" if TD can get a 3rd from some team.
  4. Ratings Bills are 78 Overall... 70 on Offense... 95 on Defense (2nd best D in the AFC and NFL behind Pats) Guess they don't have much faith in either our O-Line or JP... I can't see WM, LE, EM rated below 85.
  5. TD did say they would wear the alternates both at home and on the road once this year. I at first thought that it would mean that we would have both blue and white unis. However, on second thought we may wear the new blues at Miami where they typically wear whites, or at the Pats.

  8. Think about the Chargers and their alternate jersey's with the alternate helmets, or the Lions or any other team that wears throwbacks. Helmet and all gets re-done. That being said, who wants to take bets that there is a small standing buffalo below the NFL logo on the front, (i know that wasn't there back in the day, but it could be damn cool).

  12. Typical Liberal is a bit harsh... i think the military would have waged war on the 50% of the country that are liberal out there if they were all like that. That being said, i think the guy is a jerk that wants attention... i doubt that he has any followers... just wants the attention that AD says he craves.
  13. I would disagree, i think if someone has a passion for teaching and educating others i would imagine it is very time consuming. I mean think of how hard it is to get your own teenagers to listen to you (if you have teenagers) then try and get a group of 20 or so of them to listen to you about a topic that they may have no interest in. I really think teaching is a lot harder than it looks (if you do it well of course -- i also know teachers that stay just a day ahead of their students and don't spend any time in preperation). That being said, Car sales could be interesting... are you looking at relocating with this career change, because i would say you can make a nice living doing pharamaceutical sales.
  14. Never thought i would do a LAMP post but i was so damn excited i couldnt' help myself. Got admitted into American University's Master of Public Policy Program this afternoon. Big change of direction in my education for me and will hopefully lead to a long and distinguished career in our federal government. I enjoy reading all your political posts on both sides of the political spectrum as it has allowed me to empathize with the way the right sees things so i can remain a moderate lefty. I wish i was in Buffalo tonight, drinks would be on me all across the city!

  16. I draw the line where unnatural or mechanical means is used to facilitate performance. That pretty much excludes racing from being a sport in my opinion. I have a lot of respect for the people that do it, particularly F1 and Indy car drivers, but really, if the game couldnt have been played 1000 years ago (if someone thought the idea up) it isn't a sport to me.
  17. Does anyone know if i have to pay to get into the stadium just to see the jersey unveiled. I will be in town for just a few hours next weekend and i can be at the stadium from 2 until 3 and don't really want to pay the $5 to see the unveiling of a jersey if i am going to miss the NFL Network special.   20. Thanks for the updates... i love watching sports history happen, Woods, Lakers (past few seasons), Jamal Lewis a few years back... sucks that my history lesson will have to come from a message board instead of at least a television set.

  22. For any of you residents in Indianapolis who are sports fans but not necessarily race fans, today sucks. You spend the whole day not being able to watch the race because it is blacked out (there are far too many seats to sell at the track) so your curiosity over what you will be hearing about the next week at work makes hit refresh on espn.com every ten minutes. So the race ends up taking your whole day anyway. Yuck. That being said, i hear it is really a sight to see. I have a bunch of buddies out there today with radio scanners and headphones so they can listen to each driver as they talk to their crew. Wish that worked at Bills games. "Dad, Clements told JP to hand the ball off on 3rd and twentyfour we can go to the bathroom because we will only be missing them punt"

  24. I am very dissappointed i won't be able to watch the championship game monday evening on ESPN. Really such a great and rapidly growing sport. If this years championship comes anywhere close to the entertainment value of last years, you will all see a heck of a sporting event.
