I know this is a Bills board and we all badly want to see the Bills win the Superbowl but to think that from the first game of the post-season to the the superbowl is only about a month, and the beginning of the post season in hockey to the end is about two and a half months. While a superbowl may be more satisfying, a dominating Sabres team on the road to win the stanley cup could allow for much more partying.

Your nail clippers find a new home
brihs2005 replied to stuckincincy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its either Georgia or Tennessee. Went to it about 7 years ago. The jewelry they had there was pretty awesome and some really good prices on things. I remember i bought a 14K gold charm of a hockey stick for like $6. Interesting to go see if you are nearby, right next to the worlds largest ball of twine. -

Probably some 21 year old intern (like myself) that is working for free is forced to sit on ebay all day and take pictures of nail clippers. But don't worry, it looks good on our resumes. -

What would Losman have to do to...
brihs2005 replied to The_Real's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would keep us in the playoff for a stretch of 5 years or so... Win a Bowl and in that game he has to win it with his arm for the fans to say he is the best bills QB ever. Otherwise he will be thanked, but not revered like kelly. -

Could Republican Leaders Make Stupid Comments Too?
brihs2005 replied to Chilly's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Haven't read this whole thread, but is it just me that the Right seems to not care that they are alienating half of the country and that the left seems to be saying "Look how mean they are, they hit us first" I mean honestly if i was the leader of either party i would be going buggy over the stupid comments that advisors, senators, and representatives say that make my side (depending on which one you are on) look like jackasses. -
This sucks. As a moderate-liberal it blows to admit that there is a lot of validity to that statement. The Left and the Right really need to figure out that problems such as this can't be seperated by mere politics. People don't deserve to be thrown under the bus because they can't take care of themselves, but at the same time some people just digging themselves deeper and deeper. It is very hard for an open mind looking at the problem with a non-partisan perspective to fully grasp such a problem.

Maybe its because you use the expression "Bump Uglies" Sorry man that is so, sixth gradish (i should know, i am not that far removed from 6th grade)

Just watched the movie HEAT again today... great sarcastic line that Pacino has to his wife... "Yes, i made you !@#$ Ralph because it makes me feel good!"

Hot Pockets makes a microwavable "Pot Pie" Takes about two mins thirty seconds gramps! (Is there anything i can do to get out of the "Hot Pocket" generation, or am i guilty by association because of my age?)

Maybe the money was gone because he was paying the girl. Travis ain't the best lookin dude in the world. Be that as it may i offered to give him a ride as he was one of my favorite bills at that time and it was really cool. Ran into him about a half dozen more times after that and he always remembered my face which was nice. Just a cool Bills story that i have. (Also he was wearing a full length Coogi jumpsuit, had to have cost some serious bank... i mean damn TH, can't you just get some RocaWear and then still be able to pay your bills).

Does anyone remember TD's pittsburgh days. I always remember him being credited with great drafting of their defenders, but i don't ever remember them having a great offense for most of the years he was there. I don't think he drafted any of their stars (except maybe Bettis). For those that are more familiar or have a better memory, please let me know what his Steelers days were like. Did he build a defense and hope that won him a championship?

Travis seemed to be really nice. Met him at an airport a few years ago and ended up giving him and his girlfriend (she was at least 20 ) back to his OP condo. He ran around his house for about 15 mins looking for things to autograph to pay me back for the ride. Very nice, very genuine.

I hear ya... To this point, as GM of the Bills i do not remember TD being wrong when gambling on a player. I don't consider Drew Bledsoe or Mike Williams (two of his more questionable moves in retrospect to be gambles because they seemed to be no-brainers at the time). The moves that most questioned were Willis, Lee Evans and JP. Willis and Lee are outstanding, we will see about JP... and Gandy is the other. Instead of castrating TD and chastising Gandy. Lets hope this one works out, because IF IT DOES, we have a better line than we did lasat year, with more continuity, and a very strong team. Lets give the guy a shot and wait until the scrimmage to say he is incapable of doing the job.

Is it possible because our defense wouldn't give up the big play but couldn't get opposing teams off of the field in 3 plays or less? Stats can be twisted anyway you want them to... i want a championship defense... give me #1 in turnovers, and #1 causing an offense to go 3 and out and i think that is what makes champions
-
Awesome line!!!

I agree with #3... #2 is up in the air really. From what we all have been reading is that things have really changed from last year to right now with JP... he may not have been ready the last time PW saw him, but its been quite a while since then, and i firmly believe a player can mature into a leader in a short time frame. PW is speaking without seeing him in the film room since february (or at least since March 1, i am sure he cleaned his stuff out as soon as he signed with Minn) or on the field in OTAs. And for #1, PW is a pro-bowler (i think Buffalo fans realize that even if he has never officially gone), i think it will be tough to replace him but just because he feels he was better than the younger guys on the team last year, doesn't mean he truly is better. Some guys don't practice well but are incredible come game time. For all we know Haggan can be the next Lawrence Taylor, but that doesn't mean he is going to get on the field in front of Fletcher who's position is secured. PW, loved you while you are here and i got plenty of respect for you as a player and a person, but move on buddy....

Haha! make sure i leave friday night for a sunday game then. Are there a lot of speed traps? and are there a lot of patrolers out at the wee hours of the night when i like to drive long distances.... 1am-7am

When you guys say quickest, how long does the drive take for a guy that goes 80mph most of the way? Going to have to drive to and from school in DC starting in the fall.
