  1. Yes I did. I do play fantasy football and he also can be a stat machine. But the trends are hard to ignore. The Rams have gone down and the Cardinals, long being "the arm pit" of the NFL, suddenly look very hard to beat. Put Leinart in their and the Cardinals turn to whimps over night.
  2. So, Matt Leinert does indeed suck the big one. And there's probably no hope for him, I would tend to agree with that. BTW, how many 100-yard games has E. James put up? Last I checked he had one in 29 games. So, Warner has no running game.
  3. So keep a guy because he was cheaper. Bulger sucks. And Warner played in like, what, four games with the Giants. If the wideouts are the best, what's holding Leinart back? As they say in the presidential elections >>> "It's the economy, stupid". In the NFL "It's the QB, stupid".
  4. Oh, I forgot, he had 7 bad games and he got hurt. Two time MVP and goes to two Superbowls and throws 41 TDs in one season. You don't get rid of a guy that does that. How stupid can you get. I watched the Dolphins-Cardinals game and Kurt was killing the Dolphins. Put Kurt Warner on the current Rams team and they make the playoffs. Thoughts?
  5. I always thought Gus had a great arm. He gets to play the Panthers though . . . that's going to be hard. On NFL.com sorry.
  6. It can only get worse as the housing market continues to decline. Wall Street was behind the run up in housing and gas prices, so it's hard to feel sorry when bad news comes from Wall Street. And I don't want the losses to be contained, because people never learn their lesson. I think it's time that more "investor class" people learn a tough lesson.
  7. I just finished watching the NFL Classics repeat and they skipped over the bottle hitting the ref and yes I do remember it. It's on youtube.
  8. I watched this game. I'll watch it again.
  9. Cheering for an injury to end the season????!!!!
  10. Jake Delhomme!!!! This guy just wins and I have one of his jerseys.
  11. he sent an email to Adam Schefter.
  12. Just noticed this on their website.
  13. I couldn't agree more. It seems odd. Drew Pearson was the real deal. But on a sad note, I guess the game's not going to be on at 8 p.m., even though I saw two promos for it earlier today. They're having a special 2-hour "NFL total access" show because of Brett Farve. Maybe they'll show it at 9 p.m. Or maybe later tonight. I've seen them do both.
  14. about 1 hour from now. This is one of the classic games from the golden era of pro football that everyone is asking for. Roger Staubach to Drew Pearson. I think it's the 1975 or 1976 season.
  15. Probably the best post to sum up the whole situation. Now, they don't have to pay Brett. Talk about ego!! If Aaron Rodgers flops those two are toast. The best thing they can do now, is just release the guy. I mean, how hard is it? This could drag on and on. Screw the trade. Just end it already.
  16. You've got to be kidding. Johnson was chosen because Wilson said so. Everything else was a parade for the public. Wilson wanted to get his money out of RJ. With RJ starting the 2001 season, that was done. At least they knew what they had. And I think the same is being done with Losman. He may not be starting but he's still around.
  17. Brett says it wasn't his own volition and I've always had afeeling the retirement talk throughout the years was more "media driven" then anything else. If Brett did anything wrong, he should have stopped the media speculation before it got so bad. It became a yearly thing. And I've always felt the media got tired of him and wanted to run him off, but that's just me. I've never been a real big Brett Farve fan, but the guy was good and still is. I think he could play for two to three more years. Why not? If you've got the body to do it. He's never really been hurt.
  18. I wouldn't want to do that because Brett is the NFL leader in INTS.
  19. I'm getting tired of the of the Brett Farve situation and the Packers have totally screwed this thing up. And it shows the NFL is all about money. The same thing happened with DF and RJ. Ownership didn't want to waste the contract money on RJ and ownership doesn't want to waste the contract money on Aaron Rodgers. My thing is, you can always get another QB in the draft. It's easier to trade Aaron Rodgers because of his age, then it is Brett. Moreover, Brett has every right to still play if he wants and they should stop trying to force him into retirement like they did with their "marketing" offer. You can get rid of a guy by releasing him or trading him for a 7th round draft pick. The Packers are trying to win on every front and it's not fair. At least the Bills released Flutie and let him play somewhere else.
  20. You can't expect Toronto to get behind an American product. It's not their team. When Calgary played Baltimore in the CFL Grey Cup, the whole crowd was rooting for Calgary. I think the game was in Calgary, but still tons of Canadian Flags. It was a bias against the US. Baltimore won, however.
  21. This is terrible news. Why should I have to pay for a homeowner who can't pay for his house? All this is going to do is create more economic "bubbles". The wonderful government is trying to help home owners, but they're also trying "protect the capital markets". In other words, protect Wall Street. The government will always help Wall Street first. I think we should let the market decide and let these people and banks twist in the wind. It only protects the next ponzi scheme because they'll just run to the government for help everytime.
  22. If you remember in 1999, Gavin, I said that we'd be better off if Wall Street crashed. That is the dow jones industrials. The 401k thing is going to be a mess. People trust Wall Street for some reason. Why? Look what they did to housing. Most builders were mom and pop. Now they're publically traded companies. And what a mess they, along with all the rest, created.
  23. I said back in 1999, that we'd be better off if the stock market crashed. The "average joe" is going to get crused by the stock market. Wall Street seems to rule every facet of the American Life in a negative way. Just wait for the 401K crash.
  24. They are right. Anytime you have unchecked speculation in a market place, you create a market bubble that will crash. That's what happened in the internet stock boom and the housing boom. That's the good thing about this latest stock market ponzi scheme.
