  1. Benford and Cook are goners. Unless something gets done VERY soon which would shock me. Every year I find it surprising how much $ the Bills are able to spend. History's shown we either sign our guys early or don't sign them at all. Examples Allen. Milano, Knox, Shakir, Oliver, Bernard, Rousseau, T.Johnson, Brown, Dawkins spring to mind. As do Edmunds, Gabe Davis, Douglas, Singletary... Expect lots of corners in the next couple drafts!
  2. $$$ is why not!
  3. Well yeah, that's why he's MVP. There's def a point about the WRs' lack of productivity under Brady. Diggs' production tanked under him. So did Cooper's. Samuel never got started. And MVS's season speaks for itself. I don't care about stats if the O is productive. But this should be taken into account when evaluating say, Coleman's production or lack thereof.
  4. Where is Curtis Samuel on this list?
  5. He is definitely a starter for one team. And we have nothing close to a proven replacement. Why on earth would we trade an inexpensive starter for a 6th or 7th round pick. Replacing him with an immediate starter would, at a minimum, cost more in FA or a high draft pick.
  6. No there isn't. If he had value to another team he'd have signed elsewhere for more money last year. This isn't Madden where you can re-sign a guy and trade him away for substantial draft capital.
  7. Unless you check the stats. Bass above 80% every year. Norwood in the SIXTIES half his career. And career longs? Like over 50 yards? LOL.
  8. He's had a terrible stretch but he's already proven he can be among the best Kickers in the league.
  9. This isn't Madden. It's real life. Teams don't just willy nilly switch CBs to S. It pretty much never happens except when you get a VERY OLD formerly elite CB like Rod Woodson/Troy Vincent types extending their careers. And one of the biggest reasons surely is CBs DO NOT WANT TO change positions where they'll make less money and likely be less effective. Why on earth would Benford or Douglas want to risk their careers to switch positions and almost certainly lose out on millions of dollars? Dane is very far from a must re-sign. In a perfect world, sure. But not gonna be able to keep him and in the end he is replaceable. He replaced Levi Wallace, after all.
  10. This 100%. Surely they could have acquired a rental CB but they intentionally gave up higher compensation to get Douglas who has an additional year under contract. It's very sad but Tre is just too big a long shot to ever return to previous form.
  11. You're kidding right. On any NFL roster safety is one of the most replaceable positions. That's why we essentially let Poyer walk last season. Fortunately he couldn't find a better deal. They signed 2 safeties in 2017 because good safeties are readily available in FA. If safety was the most important position we wouldn't be paying more $ to Miller. Or White. Or Douglas. Or Floyd. Or Oliver. Or Jones. Or Milano. Etc.
  12. It was our 3rd for Douglas and their 5th.
  13. Here in Charlotte it seems everybody has two teams that they root for. Having a "second team" to fall back on. Must be nice. I could never do that. I always had a soft spot for Carolina due to their Polian/Buffalo roots but very quickly began actively rooting against the Panthers due to their fake, fair-weather fans.
  14. It was obvious at Bernard's drafting that he would replace Edmunds. You don't use a third rounder on someone you intend to be a backup forever. With Edmunds a pending UFA the writing has been on the wall for awhile now. The reality of the salary cap NFL is that a few of your starters will have to be low-priced, mid-round picks who you HOPE will work out. We can't afford to sign a good LB. And I much prefer they take care of the offense early in the draft. It's probably Bernard's job to lose.
  15. Players come and go. When you're an elite team, the lesser teams will inevitably try to pluck from your roster. It's part of the NFL and nothing to get upset over. Good for Hodgins.
