  1. Key D play and our best passrusher is guarding a TE?
  2. Big time players make those big plays regardless! We need PLAYMAKERS not STAT GUYS!
  3. Lindell and Moorman are the only players on this team I have confidence in!
  4. And we can't bash WM effort today!
  5. God we need some Bears luck - some TO's or kick returns for TD's. I guess we need the Bears playmakers. Also where is Roscoe and also Lee - why not give them a chance to get some RAC yards? No such attempts!
  6. I know that but it seems it is either never called or attempted.
  7. I feel sorry for the D for besides that blown coverage they have plain well enough to win this game.
  8. My point is: where is that pass to Reed on 1st-2nd down?
  9. I knew the D would breakdown sooner or later and who is the victim...McGee and Simpson. Our offense threw away 3-4 great drives to get back in this game! Let me guess we HOPEFULLY might make the game look close but still have a 2-5 record and we aren't that bad!
  10. Maybe not for the rest of the games but this game is a lot on JP as the D has given the Bills ample chance to get back in this game and WM is doing alright. JP and the passing game has to start doing something; what happen to Fairchild's creative plays in the 1st half; the rollouts, etc?
  11. But once again we end up in 3rd and 8 and guess what a sack. Where is Lee Evans on 1st and 2nd downs? Where are the passes when we have less than 3 WR on the field or runs when we are in 3 WR sets? We are so predictable!
  12. It seems as if we are always in one mode; either run or all pass. Where is the rhythm that needs to be establish. It always seems like we come to a crucial 3rd and 8 or more and something always goes bad.
  13. I'm with you but JP like this team has to get it together before fans and the sports world will give them any respect. Going toe to mtoe but losing close decisions while occasionally getting KOed does not make a Champion.
  14. This team needs playmakers that make plays, not just STUPID plays! Why does it take until the 2nd half to get Evans involved? While we have yards and good stats no points to show. While we have a good pass rush going and limited the run game, we still broke down at key times and allowed them to put it in. Big players make big plays in big games. For instance Vrabel gets a clean shot at JP and he goes for the ball. Fumble; Pats recovers, kills a good drive. Kelsay has free shot at Brady and while he smashes him in the back he could have stripped that ball. Also he gets a dumb penalty while Brady is sitting on the field.
  15. But you see Brady Quinn has that name and with that brings patience by the fans that will hopefully give the Bills time to develop him unlike that given to JP. And I'm with you in the fact that I'm not sold on Quinn either as he is inconsistent in college; he will be just as big a question mark in the NFL. I don't know and can't understand why so many BILLS FANS hate on JP. I can see the outsiders who look strictly at stats and highlights and don't really follow the team but yet have to comment knowing little. I mean he has shown that he has the strong arm to deal with the windy weather in Buffalo and the mobility to make plays. And while he is PROGRESSING, all he lacks is the CONSISTENCY which only comes with EXPERIENCE and TEAM CHEMISTRY that usually doesn't come in YEAR ONE of a NEW SYSTEM. Plus he taken to Buffalo and made it his home. I just DON'T GET IT; can somebody PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND?
  16. Face it: as long as Buffalo loses and JP doesn't put up GREAT stats or our offense scores 25-30 points JP will take heat; especially with this Matt Leinart overhype. I mean ML put together 2 OK games in which he LOST but since he has fanfare he will get too much praise; all the blame will go to the Cardinarls not ML. Since JP wasn't a big name in college and he plays for the lowly Bills he will get no respect. If ML played the exact same season JP ha so far he'd be given much love and so much future outlook if he had his team in contention in 5 out of 6 games and lost 2 of those games by 2 and 3 points and another by 8. JP won't get that pass by them OR US! He is not the sexy story that puts fans in the seats. He was the 4th QB taken after those with much college fanfare. My biggest gripe is that JP has shown much progression for a 16 game vet and yet some seem to expect him to carry the team and be a Pro Bowler by now and no QB besides Marino has ever came in carried a team with his arm so soon. I mean those will bring up Big Ben but he was carried by the Steelers, not the other way around. Like the other article on this topic pointed out: "What's worse than having questions about a 1st round QB is having questions about 2 1st round QB's. Bills fans must be patient and give JP the rest of this season AND next. If he hasn't proven himself by then on to the next QB. But based on how he has progress so far and the history of the game, it would be foolish not to.
  17. I feel waht you are saying. But you can't win with those so-called Bills fans who want JP to fall on his face to say I told you so or hate to admit that he has improved and is still going through a learning process. You'd think JP was a Joey Harrington, Kyle Bowler, or Tim Couch situation.
  18. I'm up for an upgrade at DT and DB. On the OL, I'll find a starting LT, re-sign Gandy and either move him to guard or keep him as a reserve. We also need a quality physical 2nd WR to compliment Evans.
  19. Like I said earlier: "I'm not saying that he won't or he can't; I'm saying that he don't and he a'int!" Maybe he is in the wrong system. Maybe he will turn it around. Nobody has question the strength of his arm. I mean Kordell could throw the rock! But when given time to thorw or put in a situation when he has to pass to win a game he hasn't came through. Until he consistently put together good passing games against good teams, he is what he is. Now I don't want to see him have a 300 yard game against the Texans and then watch everbody go see what he can do. Like his passes so go his games: he has to hit at least 3 out of 5 to be considered consistent. 3 out of 16 is not.
  20. To those who hate on JP; would if JP had the hype Manning, Leinart or Young had coming out of college. Even with the exact numbers he is putting up this season there wouldn't be as much focus on his play as there would be on the players around him. There would be more talk of how he has progressesd and the strides he is making. I mean Manning his 1st year and Young stats so far look worse then JP did last year. Leinart in 2 games isn't as great as they are hyped up to be. But since JP was considered a reach by some and garbage as by fantasy standards last year he or the Bills will get no respect unless they win or play great. It is just a shame that some Bills fans don't 1) have any patience and 2) not giving the kid credit for playing better. I'd seen a time when fans would over hype their players; especially young talent at QB. I mean to expect a 2nd year QB to play like a Pro Bowler is crazy. But if he has progressed and at least playing average football and historically on par with what most average QB progression is, I don't see why more Bill's fan give the kid a hard time. I mean if the rest of the team was solid we'd be winning now if he had identical play as we have lost close games. If our O-line and running game was just a wee bit better we'd convert that 4th down play against the Pats and game over week one. Against the Jets if our red zone D was better we'd win that game hands down. I can't defend the Lions game for we were lucky just to be able to be in postion to win. SO right there we'd be 4-2 and Jp this or JP that wouldn't be an issue. He'd be put on a pedestial and give unjust credit and over hyped and then I would be pointing out his flaws and improvement he must make to be as great as some would make him out to be!
  21. Not ALL game as NE would certainly adjust. But if he mixed it up with the run and a few long passes with double moves to keep the D honest there is no way NE secondary can match up. He needs to keep us out of 3rd and long and only running on predictable downs with predictable personell. I'd say more quick drops that get everybody involved; TE's RB's included; don't leave them in to block as much. If the OL can't holdup on 3-5 step drops OR JP holds the ball too long and doesn't find the open guy and get rid of the ball quick enough then our hands are tied behind our backs anyway!
  22. But that is the point - when ATL wins he is treated like a top 5 QB when he really is not. I'll give him credit how he does have an impact on the D and how his running threat at QB is no match in the league. He may make a few plays here or there; mostly with his feet. He makes ATL running game go because the Defnse worries more about gap control and containment with Vick at QB. Fine if you actually produce on the field but if not then it is just hype. With the way the ends rush to contain him in the pocket and the spy used on him, he should and does have big windows to pass in but he can't get it done. If he had the same running statistic and was an average passer who passed for 3000 yards at a 55% to 58% pass percentage with about 20 TDs he'd get more deserved respect because he and ATL would be unstoppable and they would average 25 to 30 points a game. But if your passing game and points per game are bottom in the league then you can't be considered an upper echelon QB. That is what irk's me is that he is over hyped and under criticized enough. I mean Cunningham took a lot of grief back in the early 90's. He didn't have any WR's whatsoever and his best target was a TE, Keith Jackson, just like Vick and Crumpler. But Vick isn't half the passer he was.
  23. The most over rated player in the game today. When the Falcons win he gets all the credit. I mean everyone was all up on his jock with ATL fast start and the running numbers they were putting up. But where were the points to go along with that? If ATL D gives up over 17 points then the team is in trouble, especially if he has to pass to get them back in the game. To all those who hate on JP: if had been in the league as long as Vick and his supporters were still making excuses and blaming others then you'd have a case. Every year it is his receivers aren't good enough, he is a playmaker, all he does is win. All he does is win; win what? All he ever accomplish was a playoff win in Green Bay. He has regeressesd as a passer every year since. And last year, the D fell off and gave up more points then Vick couldn't deliver. If you want an occasional highlight then Vick is the man. If you want a consistent NFL passer then he is not. Like I tell my over hyped ATL friend all on Vick's jockstrap: "I'm not saying that he won't, I just say that he DON'T. I'm not saying that he can't, I'll just say that he A'INT! Until he does he is just OVER RATED!"
  24. Really it doesn't matter for some will always give their old school favorite player the edge over a new school player (unless it is OJ!) But on the real, until a team has mad success or an individual player is the top 3 player in the league at his position they will get no respect. I remember a time though before this internet age where fans of a particular team would defend its players and try to hype them up; now we dog them more than the outsiders! Yep, them were the good ol' days!
