  1. No it was his special teams coach to be exact.
  2. EXACTLY; he should have been back their busting Brady's butt but he is out there covering Watson. WHen I saw that I just had to stop and wonder: will Levey step down onto the sideline; I wonder how Wade is doing?
  3. makes it even more frustrating as all the next 2 weeks we have to hear how bad this team and the coaches are. Then they come out of this bye and play GB. This game is just as frustrating for if we win, blow the Packers out, a lot of people will be saying "DUH, it is only the Packers; let's see what they do against a better team". If they struggle but win some will be acting like we can barely beat the Packers. And if we lose, oh my goodness! Those type seem to forget that before the season this team was not suppose to compete. But what is frustrating is that this team just like JP shows flash of brilliance then it falls over it's own feet and drop the ball! It leaves you saying what if we tweaked this here or there or did this then we wouldn't need a major overhaul. Let state the obvious: JP at this point can not at this point carry this team and win football games solely on his right arm. If the team was better he could go along for the ride; his last 3 games and all his turnovers though have put a little damper in that plan. This team has many areas to be addressed and I don't see it happening in the next 3 years as we have no core players or system and the good players we do have will bolt in the next 2-3 years and we will struggle trying to replace them. I wish Youbooty didn't have his "family" issue that caused him to miss most of the preseason for then if he were solid we could have made that trade of Clemens for McFarland instead of losing him for nothing to Free Agency. Now next year we may have to replace both Clemens and McGee.
  4. Really besides the Lions game the O-line hasn't been as bad as some have made it to be. Look I want JP to excel but he is still green and he should be given at least this year to ripen. But 30% to 40% of the sacks this year have been related strictly to JP holding onto the ball too long. Part of that is his inexperience; the other is shabby playcalling putting him in such positions, FACE DOWN!
  5. Reyes may be suspect but Fowler has been a good pickup. For this O-line, he and Peters are definitely starters in this league. Maybe Gandy can be a better guard but everywhere else should definitely be upgraded.
  6. That's part of the problem as they only try to run out of the I-formation and when the do they don't get the backs and TE's involved enough in the passing game.
  7. To me it's definitely Whitner over Milloy as he is old and a year or 2 away from retirement while Whitner has been solid. I'd take JP over Leinart for I feel ML is more hype than substance; look what the Raiders did to him today. I think that if JP can get in a decent offense with adeuqate blocking he can succeed. JP biggest issue is that he went to Tulane so nobody has any patience with him and not giving him the benefit of the doubt and time to develop that a QB from a big time college would.
  8. Maybe as he has pulled out a couple of close games. But besides the 1st 2 weeks Chad hasn't put up any great numbers but the team has found a way to get it done.
  9. My point is when will he establish any sense of consistensy on offense and develop an identity? It's like watching a rookie Madden player who just runs a play from every formation in the book and while they may get a few good plays here or there, they become predictable after while. If they stick to a base group and develop a chemistry and an identity they would be more consistent and better off.
  10. I see you and I think a lot alike. I for one think WM would run better in a 1 back set but the Bills NEVER run the ball in a 3 WR set. This offensive scheme never forces a Defense to have to match up as IT NEVER ESTASBLISHES ANYTHING! It is just playcaliing with out managing the game. At least if they went to a 3 WR set there would be less guys in the box to allow WM more room to run and another legitimate passing threat since they never invole Shelton or the TE's into the passing game it makes them so predictable and unproductive. I mean Royal hasn't been given a chance to be a factor all year in the passing game. Also they need to call routes that would allow our receivers to get more RAC yards. Plus they never seem to throw across the middle of the field. There are not enough quick passes called and if they are it seems to come in bunches. It's like this offense gets stuck in one mode and never seems to mix up and put plays together. We might move the ball, get a 1st down or 2 but then it always seems like we end up in 3rd and 8 and something bad happens. To me the most frustrating point is that thru 7 games we don't have any type of offensive identity and have never established any consistency whatsoever.
  11. Million dollar question. At least earlier I had some confidence in this team. Now I have none. What I hate the most about this strecth was that at least before we lost close games we could/should have won. And now with blow out losses to the Bears and Pats and losing to a winless Lions team we are definitely thought of as horse crap and it sucks! There is no defending this team, no what if or they are better than there record. All we have is to look forward to IS 2007! This yearly trend is getting old!
  12. I just hate watching the Jets, a team clearly less talented win 4 games, most of them close mainly do to good coaching and gutty play. I was hoping that would be the 2006 Bills!
  13. I'm feeling you. I want to defend JP but him like the Bills I have no confidence in right now as I expect mediocrity. The playcalling is also suspect; I mean in one quarter WM is used in both the pass and run and then is an after thought in the passing game the rest of the game. JP is rolled out a few times in the 1st half with success; not at all the rest of the game. Teams always find a way to take Evans out of the game in the 1st half; today it was the whole game. But he did drop a TD pass. Roscoe and Royal are being under utilized as well. We need an identity on offense. I don't know if JP is the answer but he better be for the rest of this season as while he is not playing winning football, he is not the sole reason we are 2-5 or playing so bad, doing nothing right or throwing 2-3 picks a game.
  14. But we also need to establish an offensive system as we don't have any identity. We must give JP at least this year and more than likely next year a chance to improve for if we don't it will be a hit or miss investing money in a draft pick or an expensive free agent QB. For this team as a whole we need to establish a system and get a core group that is productive and believes in this system. That way we can be like the Pats (I hate to say it) and have interchangeable parts as long as the core is solid. We don't want to be like the Redskin and try to buy a championship every offseason but you can't sit by idle as well.
  15. We just need something, ANYTHING positive to build on as we have establish nothing in the past few years and the few good players we have will probably jump ship in the next 2 years. We need players who are consistent playmakers and make big plays at key moments in big games. We also need a coaching staff that instead of just calling plays and hope they work actually gameplans and put our players in the best position to make plays. Think about it; on offense we have no identity whatsover. Are we a power running team or a spread team? There is no spreading of the ball no matter what we are; either to players or across the field. As far as offense and chemistry goes we have no tendencies - besides sacks, turnovers, and losing!
  16. I say NO to bringing in such a big name but at least fans and the media will have patience with such a player; something they clearly don't have with JP. I mean if we had Leinart and he played exactly as JP has there would be more what if he was surrounded by more talent than just puting all the blame on JP!
  17. Sad but true. It's a frustrating trend ever year so that by mid season all we have to look forward to is the next year!
  18. That is what is frustrating in that you just know where this team is headed. At least in the first 4 games you had hope. Now it seems like players and schemes are regressing. Take JP; one minute I want to defend him then he does something stupid. I mean by now we should at least have some type of chemistry by now. I don't think this coaching staff has utilized its talent or put their best players in positions to make plays. I hate to start over at QB for I don't think JP is the bigeest problem and adding another rookie QB will not be the answer. The only way we can make an upgrade at QB is in house and I don't think any QB on the bench is better. The only way we can come out on top is if JP gets hurt and Nall comes and is able to play good for the next 5 years!
  19. As Royal seems to have some receiving ability. But if WM or Evans doesn't have a decent game the Bills have no chance as they can't gameplan enough to get other talented players involved. I mean Roscoe has shown that he should be giving more touches but the gets none. Creative to this staff is being cute like letting Reed take a direct snap.
  20. I don't even drink but I feel like I'm tore up on 151!
  21. And never attack the middle of the field or try to establish any consistency or try to make the D matchup. You wonder why we always seem close to having a delay of game? I mean why even run plays with 2 backs, 2 TE's and one WR on 1st or 2nd and 10? We never pass the ball with group in and since we aren't dominate up front the D always shut this down unless WM fights hard and breaks a tackle.
  22. Every year it’s defending the same thing; we are not as bad as our record; we have some good players and a few changes here or there and maybe we can win. Maybe it’s coaching or playcalling. I’m tired of making excuses. For the last few years we end up at mid season with faint hope. They tease us here and there but overall I have no confidence in this team. I mean they could be up 28-0 in the 4th quarter and I’m still nervous. Who knows; maybe we can turn the season around and go 9-6 like we did 2 years ago… but if we did we’d probably lose to the Ravens playing against their backups and then next year start of 1-3! I know I shouldn’t have this attitude but we’ve been disappointed too many times. It’s frustrating spending all off-season getting hype for this team and hoping they can improve ANY and to watch them consistently falter in the first 8 games to have no hope in the second but to hope they progress and can hopefully get a good draft and Free agent pickup is so FRUSTRATING! I guess we are the most loyal fans in the NFL to put up with such ineptitude year after year!
  23. I think it is more envy because all they do is win and they don't have look at me type players. Even when they don't play good they find ways to win. I envy the Pats for I wish we ran our ship half as tight! Now I hate NE fans for when I was a co-op 6 years ago up in NE you couldn't find a Pats fan as they were an afterthought; a couple SB wins later they are beloved!
  24. Look at the D; made plenty of stops for no gains, sacks, and QB pressures EXCEPT in key situations!
