  1. Not fair; they just keep having close alls. And don't forget who caught the game winning TD against the Texans...
  2. Especially when you had a good but not great RB but many other holes to be filled as we had in that draft but that is another topic...we have WM now so WM: SUCK IT UP AND GET BACK OUT THERE AND GASH THEM JETS!!!!!
  3. We are in more trouble if we don't get more threats opposite Evans or at TE that can consistently get open. At least make this a stop Lee offense and move him around and make the defense adjust; that way the adjustments by the D will open up the run game or other passing targets.
  4. DOn't let this punks score before the half ends
  5. Clemens was blocked in the back by #60 and it wasn't called.
  6. Yeah it worked! If it didn't most would probably be crying why we don't run on 3rd and 2!
  7. With no backup besides Coy Wire. Come on TKO or the Jets will rush for 400 yards!
  8. That's Buffalo for you in a nutshell!
  9. Funny how Wilcott says A-Train doesn't finish runs like WM does. I'm not a WM hater but he does have a tendency to dance while A-Train is more straight ahead.
  10. Why can't he just imagine he's playing the Jets every week or have a Vilma clone in every game on the opposition to fire him up!
  11. I turned away from that game as the Colts run D today looks far worse than at anytime I've seen. Jones-Drew is running thru their defense like somebody playing Tecmo Bowl!
  12. I'd rather have Calvin Thompson or Barret. This team needs more playmakers; especially since they don't utilize the only playmaker we have in Evans enough by moving him around ala Steve Smith! Besides if we want to address the LOS, we need a run stuffing DT way more than we need help on the line. Since there are true stud tackles in this draft, I wouldn't take any in the 1st; maybe a tackle or guard in the 2nd.
  13. I hear what you are saying; I'm not pro DirecTv or cable. DierecTv won me over because they were the only ones able to provide the SUnday Ticket. But I own a house and have options; if I rent then I'm stuck with cable. We all know that all cable providers are not equal in service. At least if the NFL wasn't exclusive to DirecTv I would have better options to choose as far as overall service packages go.
  14. My sentiments exactly; leave TO exclusive coverage to ESPN!
  15. That's a lame excuse for that is why they have 50-75 mile radius blackouts for! I'm pretty sure they will make alot more money by allowing millions of cable subscribers to have access to the ticket than worrying about the 60,000 average fan attendance at 32 sites. The fact is that if they put out a good product those who actually love going to the event and being in the atmoshpere and can afford it will still go. But by expanding your product you will tap into those fans who are either on the fence and those who want it bad but just live too far from the stadium of their team or choice. Maybe this was a valid fear 10-15 years ago but not now as the extra coverage provided by DirecTV has actually caused the game to grow even larger. The biggest hit that would happen if the coverage wasn't so exclusive would be felt at bars and sport clubs as I guarnatee more people would watch at home. To me the fear is like the movie industry was when they were scared of VCR and DVD's; now after proper marketing it is their best friend!
  16. That is my biggest gripe; why give DirecTv all the profits and hope everyone converts to DirecTv. I have DirecTv and th main reason why is because of the Ticket and that I own a house. To a bare minimum though if the ticket wasn't exclusive I could have options to shop around to get the best packages as far as TV, telephone, and high speed goes. But what about those who WANT the NFL ticket and DirecTV but CAN'T because they don't own the dwelling they live in but could afford and would pay for the Sunday ticket? That potential huge market is left out in the cold and I believe the money they will gain by tapping into that market will be way more than what DirecTv pays to keep it exclusive! But if you are a 24/7 NFL network I expect more insider information. The best thing about the NFL network is that they air all the preseason games around the clock during the week. In the offseason besides that the NFL network to me is a snore. And even during the regular season, the coverage isn't as good as it is hyped up to be. And I would agree that the anlayst don't know anymore than we do and that is sad for at the bare minimum they should have access to the coaching tape to better analyze the game than to just run off stats and highlights! Their job is to create stories and over emphasize wins and losses and success and struggles. Just thank god TO has been quiet for the past month!
  17. In reality they are! While they are the most profitable they could make even more if they like baseball or basketball allowed their games to be sold on all venues. Look the only reason the other sports aren't as profitable is because their regular season games doesn't mean as much so the average fan doesn't want to watch every game like NFL fans do. Think about it: the only way to get the package is through DirecTv. Not the Dish or cable. And to have DirecTv you must own a house with the ability to mount a dish. Thank god I was able to move back down South to VA where I could afford a house! When I was paying rent and STUCK with cable, if I were able to get the Ticket I would have jumped on it for the only way to watch the Bills was to sit in a smoky bar with loud fans eating greasy foods and listening to the SHout song after every FG! Not bad on some days as you can enjoy wins with the fans but in general I'd prefer to watch in the comfort of my own home. The NFL made the same stupid mistake when they leased their video game product strictly to EA. While I like Madden and was up until 2005 strictly a Madden player, NFL 2K5 had made major stirdes in actually challenging Madden for supremacy. WIth 2K sports drive if they had improved their playbooks and turned down on the big play they would have surpassed Madden by now as EA sports is happy raking in the big bucks by making only minor mods to their product. I was looking forward to see what 2K6 would look like but what does the NFL do: they sell out to EA, limiting their product! Thank god the NBA didn't or the video gamers would be stuck with that crappy @ss NBA Live 2007! My last point on the NFL Network is that really it is over rated. It spins the NFL Total Access show or the Point After over and over again. They could have a little more variety in game analysis. In the offseason they spin the cheerleader shows too much and not enough time preparing us for the upcoming season or discuss offseason actions. To a bare minimum they should at least find times to show local team shows such as the Marv Levy show at least once a week.
  18. Spikes and Clemens were our best defenders yesterday although the high motored DE's actually made a few good plays. Honestly if it wasn't for the Tampa 2 scheme where our DE's rush up the field and play pass to run LT wouldn't have been as effective for he killed us mostly on draw plays on passing downs that took advantage of wide rushing DE's.
  19. Exactly my sentiments all year long. Hello we are not a power football team as we can't play smash mouth or develop a consistent passing game with base personell as the RB's and TE's are not involved in the passing game. Since we have smaller WR who would probably thrive in the slot and have proven that we move the ball more consistently when we do spread things out, I don't know why this has become our base offense and identity. To the bare minimum we should run a singleback offense with 2 WR and 2 TEs as Cieslak has shown he can catch the rock and Royal has hads his flashes. Whenever Shelton is in the game, no knock on him, the offense is just not effective as they become predictable and one dimensional.
  20. On the official gameday tread, I pointed out before the 2 minute warning once I saw the big formation with 2 RB 2 TE set that we were going to go conservative and give the Chargers a chance to score again for I knew that power football is just not our niche, especially against a strong run defense. The thing that ticked me off the most was that AFTER the Chargers score we THEN go into shotgun and spread the field and try to play aggressive with 20 seconds left. If you don't want to risk a turnover with 2 minutes left, why try with 20 seconds?
  21. I posted a similar tread before our game at 1. Luckily JP played OK while Cutler looked liked crap most of the game! But even though he played like crap, crap such as Delucia proved my point in that they would try by any means necessary to justify us picking either Cutler or leinart if they have even average games. While they are going out there way to bash JP, others are giving JP more props in comparison with his draft class moving him higher up!
  22. Can't fault him or any other player for there is no loyalty from the team or fans from that matter. It is all about either potential for a high paid rookie or what have you done for me lately for a veteran.
  23. In this game along with others, they don't move Lee around enough to get him involved, making it easy for the D to take him out. They need to stay with the singleback approach for when they go to the conventional 2 back offense the passing game is non existence thus the running game gets no benefit for defenses stack the box. The previos 2 weeks we have had better success with spread offenses.
  24. I agree as well; I think the inability to run had as much to do with predictabilty. If you play a team with a strong run D plus make it easy for them by being predictable how do you expect to have success? Most of LT's biggest runs came off draw plays on passing downs. Most of the time when they tried to be smash mouth LT had no gain. But a run stuffing DT is a must next year. We at least need a big body to bring in on run downs. I wish we had kept Adams for he wasn't too pricey and would have fit into the DT rotation.
