  1. That’s the adjustment the offense needed/needs to make. Quick hitting runs for 5-6 yards a pop. If we have a RB that can run hard through the LOS, the D/Line won’t be able to pin their ears back or the LB’s will be forced to play closer to LOS. It opens up that 10-25 yard range where Josh is deadly.
  2. These play-callers outsmart themselves. Your running the ball down their throats so let’s call a 30 yard bomb, then a 5 yard pass behind LOS, then Jackson throws into triple coverage. Well done Roman.
  3. Wilson’s hero ball throws on 1st and 2nd down on their only possession of overtime were the game. Backed up on your 13, you gotta move the chains not go for the highlight low percentage throws.
  4. Don’t think we suck. Just think we were over-confident and un-focused last week and will not be able to flip a switch and beat a hungry, motivated opponent on the road. Washington will be our get-right game.
  5. Miami 27 Bills 17. Hope I’m wrong. This is revenge game for Dolphins. Bills seem off and not sure they’re ready for another team who’s been circling this game since January.
  6. Guess I’m in the minority here, but thought that was pretty blatant hold by Tre. He basically grabbed the guy by the back of his shoulder pads. Yes. The offense was developing a nice rhythm and then Josh reverted to hero ball and killed the drive.
  7. The 10-3 1st possession of 2nd half was so frustrating. Pittsburgh was giving up the underneath pass but Josh insisted on taking shots down the field. Keep moving the damn chains. Not getting points on that drive was huge. Should never have been a 1 score game.
  8. I welcome this. Bills heard too much praise in off-season and they didn’t seem hungry on Sunday.
  9. This is not an offense that’s gonna bully a defense. This is a finesse offense. And those are the offenses that win in today’s NFL. That said, the guys upfront gotta do a better job. From all accounts they got man-handled by Steelers. Same story against Chiefs.
  10. Waller might be the player I’d like most to add to Bills if we could add any player from another team. Physical beast who catches everything and punishes whoever tries to tackle him.
  11. I believe in McDermott. Time for him to put Daboll on a shorter leash. We played a soft brand of offense and right into Steelers’ hands. Same against KC. We can still be a pass heavy offense but sometimes you gotta grind out 4-5 yards a pop if that’s what defense is giving you.
  12. 4-5 yards a carry is fine. Take what the defense is giving you. Make them commit more to the run. Daboll is like a 3 point shooter that continues to hoist contested 3’s when the defense is leaving the lane wide open. Mix in a few drives to the hoop to soften up the defense.
  13. Josh is human. And it’s only human nature that a guy who just got paid the way he did to prove to everyone he deserves that money. Seems like the way to win games like yesterday is to take the underneath stuff, keep moving the chains and matriculate the ball down the field. It’d be nice if the Bills gave him more weapons to do that like a physical Tight End and RB, but you gotta take what the defense is giving you. That’s 3 straight sub-par games from Josh and the offense.
  14. this. Josh aint Mahomes and we don’t have a chain mover at Tight End like Kelce. That’s 3 straight bad offensive games from this offense. Good teams take away what you do best. Daboll gotta start mixing it up.
  15. We are still too much of a 1 trick pony. Josh is awesome but we still need either a RB or Tight End that can move the chains against the better defenses. All our skill players outside of Josh are on smaller side and can be bullied by physical defenses. This wasn’t addressed in offseason.
  16. I don’t know. He was pretty drama free with the Pats. Teams with bad backup QB’s could regret not picking him up and a 17th game means an extra game where your starter could get hurt. I think not being vaccinated is the deal breaker. Can’t have a backup QB who’s not available when you need him. If Barkley was still our backup, I’d want Newton but your backup QB has gotta be vaccinated.
  17. So at worst, 9 out of 53 not vaccinated. That’s 83% worst case. Makes me feel a little better in terms of players being available.
  18. This reminds me of the Edmunds debate. Thumping MLB’s don’t exist anymore. Bills seem to have decided that unless you have a Waller, Gronk, Kittle, or Kelce, it’s better to get an extra WR on the field than a mediocre Tight End. We’ll see if they’re right.
  19. Question… do veterans have offsets in their contracts like rookie deals do? Kinda crazy the Raiders guaranteed him $3.2m and are gonna just let him walk without taking a regular season snap. Makes more sense if the $3.2m can be offset by whatever he signs for with his next team. If there are no offsets and he’s willing to play for under $2m this year, I’d bring him back to Bills and thank the raiders.
  20. 60,000 is probably a negotiating tactic to get the government to pay more money if they want it bigger. But 60,000 probably the right number.
  21. I think this is end of line for Cam. Can’t see anybody picking him up. And bring unvaccinated certainly isn’t helping.
  22. Texans and the NFL are lucky that Watson is due $10m this year and not $30m. Probably worth it to then eat $10m to kick the can down the road or until somebody trades for him and he becomes another teams problem
  23. Doubt anybody wanted to pay Addison $4m. And cutting Addison is the same as keeping him salary cap wise.
  24. Edmunds issue is his ball skills. His length and speed shrink the field, but the book on him seems to be you can still throw his way because he doesn’t make many plays on the ball.
  25. Pretty amazing article. It suggests that teams are better off being bad against the run to coax opposing offenses to run the ball more frequently. Crazy times.
