Many on this board deserve a pat on the back

Barmore was too big and physical for McBeane. The analytics tell them to take finesse guys. -

I think we needed a couple more respected veterans who were chasing rings. These guys clearly got too full of themselves after last year. McBeane brought everybody back and exchanged Brown for Sanders. Team needed an infusion of a little more new blood. -

What on earth are you talking about? You do know the LaSalle that McDermott attended is in Philly. -

Loose is actually the right way to describe this team. Sloppy and no attention to detail. -
I get the half the distance thing. But it should still be a first down.

Greg Cosell on the Bills Offense

Seems like everybody’s jumping on the pile. Here’s to Daboll shoving it up all the armchair expert’s asses tomorrow. 4 wideouts and Knox the whole game. -
Yes. You get 70’s OJ. Murders didn’t happen yet.

One of the RB’s. Whoever was the best at short yardage and catching the ball.

Wyatt Teller-the one that got away
BuffaloRebound replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Teller thing is hard to process. O Line play is a bit of a black box to most fans including me. But given how bad the Bills O-Line has played and that the Bills traded away one of the best Guards in the NFL for a 6th rounder suggests something ain’t right. Add in two 3rd round running backs that look pretty bad the majority of the time and paying Spain then cutting him weeks into the season. Things kind of points to the running scheme or the lack of will to run the ball. Not the players. Bloom has certainly come off the Daboll rose pretty quickly. -
I suspect if we lose to the Jets, we’ll find out how the offense feels about the coaching. Zero balance and no commitment to the run… my guess is the O-Line feels like they’re not put in a position to succeed. They’re certainly playing that way.

0.22 Yards before contact in the running game.

I’d love to know if there’s a stat on how fast a RB gets to the LOS. I guess that’d be hard to measure based on how far behind LOS the RB gets the ball and what route they take to the LOS. Yes the run blocking stinks but seems like our RB’s run with no violence or aggression. Just like a QB holding the ball too long effects pass blocking success, a RB who can’t hit a hole hard effects the run blocking. -

Yes. Without context, I’m not sure what that number should mean. -
The trade deadline has passed ... So now what ??
BuffaloRebound replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall
So now what??… McDermott is gonna have to earn his money. -
When your left tackle becomes the stay puft marshmallow man in the off-season then contracts covid setting him further back… When your second team all pro WR decides to become the face of the anti vax movement… and I’m sure Josh’s contract might be in his head a little bit. Good news is Beasley seems to be 100% football focused now, Dawkins still has 2 months to progress and Josh’s issues are correctable.

Pretty good summation from Cover1
BuffaloRebound replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s pretty amazing to me how league wide and even in college that it seems so hard to run the ball in short yardage situations. That’s not a Bills specific problem. The world’s gone pass happy and teams have built their OLines accordingly. Teams that can run the ball when it counts are the teams that are gonna have success in January. My 2 cents are that teams like the Bills have gone overboard on the analytics. When you’re in a tight game and can’t pick up a yard on the ground, it’s very hard to win. -
Has league-wide officiating gotten worse?
BuffaloRebound replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall
I actually think you need a camera on every player. That’s the only solution. The selectivity of flags thrown today is what drives people nuts. Players will stop holding if it’s called consistently. The problem the League has is the majority of penalties called could be called on every play and fans rightfully ask why it was called in that instance and not another.
