  1. Franklin is intriguing. There’s so many good WR’s in this draft that he’s probably being overlooked right now. I like him better than any of the 1st round WR’s last year. Got some Devante Adams to his game. Such a fluid mover.
  2. Agreed. A better more explosive version of Gabe Davis is what this offense needs. Kincaid, Samuel and Shakir can handle the underneath and medium targets. Draft a WR at pick 60. Draft Dejean, Barton or D-Lineman at pick 28.
  3. My right hip hurts watching him kick. He’s the only kicker I’ve seen swing his right leg like his hip has no hinge, instead of stepping into the kick with force. It was probably a matter of time before he was going to have some issues. Hopefully they are correctable.
  4. We need some dudes. Metcalf is one of those. He steps up in the playoffs. He doesn’t get bullied by DB’s when the refs let everything go in the playoffs. He does the bullying. All our skill players are cost controlled for at least 2 years. Trade next years 1st and give him $20m per year over next 3 years. Then draft an O-Lineman at 28 and a WR at 60.
  5. So hypothetically we’re looking at: 1. Nabers for Pick 28, 2024 4th rounder, 2025 1st round, 2025 2nd round 2. Odunze for pick 28, 2024 4th rounder, 2025 1st rounder 3. Thomas Jr for pick 28, 4th rounder, 2025 2nd rounder 4. stay put at 28 and take Mitchell, Franklin, Worthy, Leggette, or McConkey 5. trade pick 28 and a 4th for Aiyuk 6. trade pick 60 and 2025 2nd rounder for Metcalf 7. trade pick 28 and next years 1st for Higgins 8. trade back from pick 28, pick up an extra 3rd and probably pick from the same group in scenario 4 except maybe mitchell and double up on WR in 3rd or 4th round
  6. If 4 QB’s go in the top 4 picks, I could see the Giants trading down for a haul of 2025 picks. If one of the 4 top QB’s falls to 6, Giants probably pull trigger on on a QB, but that means Harrison and Nabers are gone anyway. I could see Beane having deal in place with Bears at 9 also if Odunze is there. Beane probably also has deal in place between pick 16 and 19 for Thomas. If all 3 of those fall through, then we trade pick 28 for Aiyuk. If that falls through, then it’s probably next years 1st for Metcalf. Beane didn’t trade Diggs without at least a 5 deep contingency plan.
  7. Julio Jones trade is best comp. Falcons gave up their 1st, 2nd and 4th round picks then next years 1st and 4th.
  8. They probably do run similar routes, but I’d argue with Josh throwing him the ball that Metcalf would see a jump in production. Metcalf is faster than Davis and bullies DB’s. You can still throw him the ball when he’s doubled.
  9. Are we seriously comparing Gabe Davis and DK Metcalf? What would Gabe’s numbers have been with Geno Smith and Drew Lock throwing him the ball?
  10. Seattle is up against the cap but would actually gain $1m in cap space by trading Metcalf. It’s a new coach, so wouldn’t surprise me if they’d move Metcalf for some premium draft picks. Plus Metcalf probably wants new contract as he’s outplayed his current one. Next years 1st plus swap of 2024 2nd for their 2024 3rd plus one of our 4th’s.
  11. Nabers reminds me of Tyreek Hill. Pure explosiveness. I like Odunze too, but Nabors and Harrison Jr. to me are worth any trade up if somebody in top 5 or 6 is willing to do a trade.
  12. Yes, but we’re not paying any of our skill position players top end of market right now. Shakir, Kincaid and Cook are cost controlled for at least another 2 years. Knox took a paycut. Yes, it would be great if we could draft a stud WR who’s immediately a #1WR but the odds are well below 50% where we are drafting. And I’m not wasting a year of prime Josh on those odds. Give me the 80-90% sure thing in Aiyuk.
  13. Yes please. It would be more expensive in draft capital to go up for one of the top WR’s than it would for Aiyuk. Not interested in the Jalen Reagor/Justin Jefferson roulette game when it comes to drafting WR’s in that range.
  14. Pretty sure if we traded Diggs after June 1st we could’ve split that $31m dead cap between 2024 and 2025.
  15. The timing makes no sense for the Bills unless we’re accumulating trade capital. On its own, we’re getting a 2025 2nd rounder and have to take the full Diggs cap hit this year. Might as well wait to trade him after June 1st if you’re only getting a 2025 pick anyway.
  16. Find it kinda interesting the Giants and Daboll werent willing to give up a 2025 2nd rounder for Diggs.
  17. Bears only have 4 picks in 2024 draft. High probability one of the top 3 WR’s is there at pick 9.
  18. I don’t think Rapp or Edwards is stopping McBeane from taking a safety they like high in the draft and DeJean checks all the boxes on what they look for in a DB - versatile, smart, playmaker.
  19. I’m thinking the same thing. If we don’t trade up for a WR and Dejean is there at 28, he will 100% be the pick.
  20. This. No way I’m trading a 1st to move up 10 spots for the 4th or 5th best WR in a deep WR class. If it’s for one of the top 3, who all seem to be graded as studs, then I’d think about it.
  21. Agreed. For some there’s always something to worry about. A couple mid-30 year old safeties, one who signed for a 1 year $2m deal and the other who’d probably be lucky to get that doesn’t register high on the list. Replacing Floyd’s production seems like more legitimate gripe but he seemed to really tail off at end of year after he blew the Denver game. Even though Morse was getting up there in age, any time you re-shuffle an O-Line that was playing well is a concern and Morse did get scooped up right away for decent money. Gonna have to just trust McBeane on that one.
  22. Not seeing how the defense lost a lot of talent. It lost Floyd but not outrageous to think Von another year removed from ACL surgery can replace his production. Can’t imagine Austin Johnson will be worse than Settle or Poona Ford. Milano is back. Poyer and Hyde are gone but Edwards is probably an upgrade. The defense is most likely better this year.
  23. This is kinda making the case for trading up more than back. Beane has nicely re-tooled the roster depth. Now we need difference makers and starters along the lines of the Kincaid and Torrence picks. We have enough 4th, 5th, and 6th rounders to take a shot on some diamonds in the rough. Trade up in 1st with one of our 4th’s for brst D-Lineman and WR then do same in 2nd round with our other 4th or a 3rd next year.
  24. I’d say probably yes. And with Josh as your QB, the answer would’ve been definitely yes.
  25. Diggs, pick 28, and next years 1st for 4th overall pick
