Ravens look soft. And their secondary is awful. -

wow. what terrible coverage by the Vikings. That was easiest 4th and 11 pass i’ve ever seen. -

I think Glennon’s days of collecting an NFL paycheck numbered after today. in accurate, immobile, and indecisive is not a winning combination. -
How confident are you converting a 3rd or 4th and short? Seems like majority of teams are weak at this since the League went pass-crazy. Given that it’s still extremely important to move the chains or get 7 points instead of 3, I’m surprised teams don’t carry more short yardage specialist O-Linemen and insert them in short yardage situations.

7 chances inside the 2 yard line in the last 5 minutes of game and Oklahoma State can’t score a TD. It’s not just a Bills problem.

All-22 Grades for Bills/Saints (The Athletic)

Drive 2, Drive 4, Drive 5. That’s 2 out of 4. 3 out of 5. Not rocket science here. -

Yes. 2 of first 4. And 3 of first 5. And even if you convert the first down after a 10 yard holding penalty, you’re still 10 yards behind where you could’ve been and the drive ended in an interception. ‘Blew up’ probably more appropriate for first 2 of 5 drives. Hugely impacted negatively first 3 of 5. -

Dawkins personally blew up 2 of our first 3 drives. Bad left tackle play is tough to overcome. -
Bills have the highest pressure/hurry rate in the NFL??
BuffaloRebound replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
A lot to digest in those numbers. Do pressures matter more to a team like Bills with a lot of ball hawks in the secondary? Obviously you can’t get a pick on a sack. And when you ‘sell out’ for a sack and miss (cough… Hughes…cough), it opens up a lot of throwing and running lanes for the QB. Most QB’s are mobile now and even the Trevor Simien’s can get outside and complete an easy pass. I’d think a ‘collapse-the-pocket’ pressure is the best kind there is. -

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/exactly-how-much-does-a-great-pass-rush-hurt-an-offense/ Data suggests that sacks are 4 times as important as pressures and that pressures don’t really effect the outcome of game very much. -
Drive start and whether to go for it on 4th down are the easiest things for analytics to correctly tell you what to do. Very little noise there. So while we argue on message board, there’s probably a definitive answer on what’s right thing to do. The confusion stems from the contradiction of Bass purposely kicking it short and McKenzie bringing it out.

Put in Geno!

That WFT fan who pushed Everett down after his Lambeau Leap is awesome.

Lamar is so damn fun to watch. And the dude just plays hard every play. He’s definitely my 2nd favorite QB. -
Week 12, Bills v. Saints GAME BALLS - 11/25/21
BuffaloRebound replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Daboll deserves some kudos. Except for the inexplicable 3rd and inches call, we were much less predictable and more balanced. On a side note, has a team ever brought in a different Center on short yardage plays? it’s clear that Morse is a good Center but lacking in that department. The inability to get 3rd and 4th and less than a yard is gonna kill us down the stretch and has already cost us a game. -
Potential for Spenser Brown move? (to LT?)

dawkins personally blew up 2 of our first 3 drives with a sack given up and a holding call when he was badly beaten. we aren’t gonna beat good teams with that type of play from our left tackle -

Oliver dominated. Morse made some really nice blocks downfield. -

So our run game has been bad all year, but for some reason Breida has been glued to the bench until the last 2 games. Kind of says it all about the offensive coaching staff. -
Scapegoat. Gettlebaum knows he’s next to get fired . If that offense doesn’t show significant improvement in next 7 games, he’s gone too. And new GM means Judge most likely gone too.

And this is why teams play 2 deep safeties against explosive offenses.
