Rd 2, Pick 63 (31): RB James Cook, Georgia
BuffaloRebound replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
“Few teams got worse play on passing downs out of their running backs than the Bills. Enter second-round pick James Cook. I believe the NFL overthought the evaluation of Dalvin's brother. Yes, James is smaller. Yes, he moves differently than almost any NFL running back, with the exception of ... three-time Pro Bowler Dalvin Cook. The lateral quickness, vision, hands and route-running will translate. Taken No. 63 overall, don't be shocked if James Cook winds up catching more than 63 passes as a rookie.” https://www.nfl.com/news/2022-nfl-draft-debrief-a-j-brown-trade-fallout-draft-winners-and-losers-rookie-w -

Interesting that Jeremiah admitted he and the scouting community got it wrong on Cook. Thinks he gonna be a nice weapon in the NFL and should’ve been ranked higher. -
I like the Elam pick but love the potential of the Cook pick and what it does for our franchise QB.

Upper end FCS. Comparable to lower end BCS. -
NFL Draft 2022 Fourth to Seventh Round Discussion Thread
BuffaloRebound replied to UKBillFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you look at the depth chart, Sweeney at 3rd string TE, IOL backup, and punter are only 3 positions a guy picked from here on out would have even a fighters chance to make the roster. -
That was pure gold. The best was the production lady coming out and pointing to the card. If you paid somebody to punk everything the draft has become, couldn’t have done it better.
-
Call me old fashioned, but it was way better when it was Kiper, the Commisioner, and a few drunk Jets fans that hated every pick. It’s un-watchable now. It’s like the NFL drives down to the homeless shelter, hands out jerseys for all 32 teams and pays them to cheer no matter what their team does. It’s like the ‘mutant’s ball’ now. The best was Titan’s fans cheering when the Titans traded AJ Brown.

Take Ridder if he’s there. At minimum, he’ll be a great backup. Trade him for a 1st rounder in 3 years. -

I miss when the draft was kiper and the commissioner and a few drunk Jets fans. This is un-watchable. -
Overpaid by 2 points. Beane is a bum.
-
Ok, I can get on board with this in the 2nd round.
-
Unless they are trading Edmunds or Poyer, this 2nd round pick almost has to be an Offensive player. We are now stacked on defense. Get Josh another weapon with speed.
-
Once again, the fact that no CB’s were taken after Elam validates Beane’s itchy trigger.
-
Why would someone who wanted Elam trade up to 24 after the Bills took him at 23?
-
Elam was already gone.
-
Kind of validates the trade up when Gordon and Booth didn’t go in the 1st round. And Dallas could’ve traded down and still got tyler Smith
-
I don’t know. Probably won’t cost much in draft capital to move from 2nd round into 1st round. Could see a couple of teams go up to get Ridder or Corral. Having the 5th year option is huge when you draft a QB.

Devonte Wyatt DT- Could this be our #1 Pick?

Posted some rap lyrics on his twitter page when he was 14? -
Exactly. Who’s to say the pick at 25 doesn’t eventually become the #1 corner or #1 WR?

Giants decline Jones 5th year option
BuffaloRebound replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
they can always franchise tag him if he explodes this year. Guaranteeing $20m+ now was never gonna happen. -
Highly doubt anybody has access to a team’s draft board other than maybe the Cowboys. Other than ‘expert’ mock drafts, the only other info that could realistically move betting markets would be coming from agents. So maybe there’s a chance Bills take Hall but that also doesn’t necessarily mean it’s with pick 25.
-
I think there’s little money bet on the draft that big moves can happen with a relatively small bet. No ‘sharps’ are betting on who’s selected at pick 25. Draft betting is for entertainment.
