More likely Rousseau, Calais campbell, Oliver, Hughes.

Splash = Gronk (would still be good signing); Impact = Miller or Chandler Jones. The first 4 listed are either pipe dreams (Adams and Mack) or low impact (RB’s)
-
Gronk would be a good signing and wouldn’t cost a lot. He helps us in run game and in the red zone.
-
Disagree. Gronk is probably top 5 most recognizable player to the average fan. And in Buffalo, it’s probably Josh, Brady, Rodgers, Gronk, Mahomes in that order.
-
Gronk would be biggest splash signing by far to the average fan.

Spotrac spitballs C. Kirk & C. Williams to Bills
BuffaloRebound replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed, but if the guaranteed money is similar I could see him forgoing a little bit to be in a better situation. Josh ain’t going anywhere for a long time. Who’s to say he signs for more money with say the Jets and after 2 years Wilson and Saleh are gone and a new guy cleans house. Most guaranteed money is only for the first 2 years of a contract. He’s much more likely to earn his non-guaranteed portion of his contract in a better situation like the Bills currently are. -
Spotrac spitballs C. Kirk & C. Williams to Bills

Chemistry between a QB and WR is hugely important. Seems like that already exists between Josh and Kirk off the field at least. Ideally we sign Kirk and draft a CB in the 1st round. -

Should the Bills extend Edmunds?
BuffaloRebound replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. He is what he is at this point. Either sign him to a long term deal or get some value back in a trade. Playing on the 5th year option would be McBeane still not being able to make a decision on the guy. -
He’s faster than any of our Defensive Ends who made Mahomes look like Lamar.
-
Didn’t this guy win the Outland and Bednarik awards? And was in top 10 for the Heisman. The weight is a concern but you ain’t getting sure things at Pick 25. And this guy could be an All Pro if he wants to be. I’m cool with it at Pick 25.

Rumor- Harrison Phillips not coming back

Calais Campbell -
The CB’s never last. You can get a good WR in 2nd round, but I think Bills go WR in free agency. My guess is CB in 1st, IOL in 2nd, LB in 3rd.
-
I don’t know. I mean the guy is probably the best athlete on the planet for a guy that size. At worst you’re getting a 2 down run stopper. At best you’re getting a guy who could be un-blockable if he wants to be great.
-
Seems like a Raider. Doubt he makes it past them.

Amazing how de-valued the RB position has become. I think you’re gonna see more teams do what Shanahan did with Samuel. Use a physical WR as your RB.

Cole Beasley given permission to seek trade
BuffaloRebound replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
I could see a team with a young un-proven QB giving him a 2 year deal for around $6m per year, $7-8m in guarantees. It’s a copycat league. Teams will see Josh’s development and rightly or wrongly think Cole can help their young QB. Not crazy to think the Jets or Jags or some other team with a ton of cap room and a young QB would want Beasley. -

My guess is Beasley wants a new contract. -

It’d be better for Beasley if he was cut than traded. That tells me the Bills aren’t asking for a re-structure because then Beasley would just say cut me. -

Get Gronk and draft a WR in first 2 rounds. Beasley, Feliciano and a 5th for Saquan -
Speculative article on friction between McDermott and Staff?
BuffaloRebound replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
3 or 4 more? I’d say 2 max. Josh is too good. You’d have to move on from McDermott if we don’t at least make a Super Bowl in next 2 years. -

Bottom line is if a head coach hasn’t won a Super Bowl much less get to one they are on the hot seat by year 6 or 7 regardless of how well they’ve done. With Zimmer getting the ax, McDermott is currently the longest tenured head coach who hasn’t won a Super Bowl. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2021/07/the-longest-tenured-head-coaches-in-the-nfl -

BuffaloRebound replied to ProcessTruster's topic in The Stadium Wall
Making a Pro Bowl was the difference between his 5th year option being the average of the top 3 through 25 LB’s versus the average of the top 10. That’s why he’s making $12.7m and not $9.7m. Beane picked it up a year ago still betting on Edmunds potential. Not easy admitting a guy you traded up to the 16th pick for is an average starting LB. Maybe year 5 is the year he realizes his potential but kicking that can down the road is getting progressively more expensive. -
Wouldn’t be surprised if Ridder is 1st QB taken. Elite athlete, good enough passer, winner.
