  1. No. This might’ve been the best NFL season i can remember.
  2. Yep. Groot, Oliver, Calais Campbell, and Chandler Jones. With Basham, Epenesa, Zimmer, and 4th round 1 Tech as backups.
  3. Stop paying JAG’s. Josh, Diggs, Dawkins on offense. Poyer, Hyde, and White on D. Every other player not on their rookie deal is probably making too much and replaceable. Not saying you get rid of everyone else, but an elite edge rusher is a must.
  4. Another weapon for Josh, an upper echelon edge rusher, more speed in secondary
  5. Bills might’ve had the least threatening edge rushers in the league. Certainly in the playoffs.
  6. Their defensive line is way better than ours. Hubbard and hendrickson are good. Reader the run stuffer we wish Star was. And Logan Wilson is better than our MLB. And they seem to have more speed in their secondary.
  7. Donald gonna retire if they win today? McVay saying same thing. Gotta believe this is some kind of jedi motivation tactic.
  8. I’m not giving up a 1st for a guy who’s played 7 games the last 2 years due to injuries. Diggs was a couple years younger and had no injury history.
  9. It’s more the eye test than anything for me. Oliver was our only D-Linemen who looked like he could chase down Mahomes. Even if our other D-Linemen technically got a pressure on Mahomes, Mahomes easily juked them and never looked uncomfortable. i guess that’s what it comes down to for me. Can our defense make a Mahomes uncomfortable when it counts? We might have a better D on paper than Cincy, but they had multiple guys upfront who could chase Mahomes down and make him uncomfortable. And Apple was able to run with Hill and make a couple plays.
  10. Dodson still only 23. Might still be some upside there.
  11. There are at least 20 teams who’d be more than happy to give Murray a long term deal at $35+m per year. The baseball thing is stupid and not even worth talking about. The more relevant thing to talk about is how Lamar Jackson representing himself is hurting multiple QB’s. I bet Mayfield would’ve got a long term deal last offseason if Jackson did. I think Murray is in same boat this off-season. There’s an order to these things and teams typically wait to see what the bigger fish signs for.
  12. Gronk knows exactly what he’s doing. KC already has Kelce and Green Bay is at the mercy of Rodgers’ whims. Buffalo and Cincy make the most sense for a guy looking for 1 more ring.
  13. McBeane know more than all of us why Star missed the games he did. This is one of those situations where you gotta trust the guys in charge. His contract is a bit of an albatross, but he’s still useful when available. Doubt you can replace him for $1.5m you’d save cutting him or even $4m if he was a post June 1 cut.
  14. Interesting that Martindale is about the polar opposite to Frazier/McDermott when it comes to blitzing and being aggressive.
  15. Because he probably won’t be that expensive and upgrades 3 positions (returner, gadget WR, and RB)
  16. Oakland signed him for $5m in 2018. Based on the fact that he’s almost 4 years older and hasn’t played baseball since 2018, that number would be lower now. Maybe that gets offset by a Tebow effect now that he’s well known, but it’s not like the Mets made much money off people paying $20 to see Tebow in spring training or the minors. From a numbers standpoint it’s stupid to even talk about. He’d have to turn into a Mike Trout level player to approach what he’s almost guaranteed to make as a top NFL QB. And even then, Trout was a superstar by age 22. Murray wouldn’t even reach the Majors before he’s 27-28. The baseball ship has sailed.
  17. So Murray is gonna turn down $30m per year playing football to play baseball when he hasn’t played competitive baseball in 3 years? Baseball ain’t the type of sport you can just go back to unless you’re a pitcher that throws 100mph. It would take him 2-3 years minimum in the minors to get his swing back. Even then, there’s no guarantees he could even hit Big League pitchers.
  18. I really hope McBeane is thinking bigger. With Josh taking the leap to superstardom, free agents will want in. There will be a lot of upgrade opportunities and guys willing to play here for under market value. If Cordorelle Patterson means no Beasley or McKenzie, so be it.
  19. I’ll take Gronk for $7.2m over Barkley. Gronk is like a 6th OL and is also a chain mover and a red zone threat. He moves the needle more than Barkley. If we’re looking to improve at RB, there’s free agents who will be cheaper than $7.2m. Fournette, Melvin Gordon, Marlon Mack. Patterson might be cheaper than $7.2m.
  20. Fear of change. He must be doing something right as the MLB on a top defense. But you can’t pay every starter in the back seven $10m or more. He makes the least amount of game changing plays in the back 7 except for maybe Levi and Levi ain’t gonna get paid $12.7m per year.
  21. You’re probably right since comp picks by definition compensate you for losing something. But Lovie was still given the opportunity to be a coordinator by the Texans. By the spirit of the rule, I’d argue Texans still deserve the 2 picks.
  22. It’s a serious, non-troll question. There’s no reason they shouldn’t get 2 comp picks like the others who had minority coaches hired to head coaching duties. It incentivizes the same thing.
  23. Do the Texans get two 3rd picks? They should since Smith was with Texans last season and now he’s a head coach.
  24. Barkley wouldn’t fetch more than a 5th rounder, maybe a 4th.
  25. bona fide offensive weapons a stretch. Edmunds has most trade value out all 4 of them. And there’s no way Daboll doesn’t want Beasley to help out Jones.
