  1. Yes. And now they’re gonna hire a white former player with zero coaching experience. Bad look.
  2. It’s not cut and dry, but how likely is it that 31 head coaching jobs (minus Belichik because he was pre-rooney rule) have had to interview a black candidate and only 1 of those 31 jobs currently have a black head coach. The Rooney Rule is a joke. And the NFL is gonna have to fork over a ton of money.
  3. How? You can’t force the owners to hire a black head coach. Only thing you can do is what Flores is doing. Hurt em in their bank account when you feel you ain’t getting a fair shake.
  4. Nope. Rich old white guys gonna rich old white guy until it hurts them in the pocket book. Which is exactly what Flores is trying to do. Never particularly liked the guy, but good for Flores.
  5. It’s proving to be just that. Clearly a tool for owners to hide behind when there’s 1 black head coach. Well we’re giving them interviews at least.
  6. I think it means the Rooney Rule does more harm than good at this point. I don’t really like Flores, but good for him for calling out the BS and going after these billionaire owners who think they can do whatever they want.
  7. Belichik ain’t congratulating Daboll unless he got the job. That’s a pretty damning text in regards to a sham interview.
  8. I don’t particularly care for Flores, but show me the black example of Josh McCown. Culley actually had them playing well at end of season and got canned after 1 year. The Rooney Rule just makes things worse. I’d love to know the hiring rate of black vs white interviewees.
  9. Ross would. Flores still would’ve been fired probably a year earlier.
  10. Unfortunately, the Rooney Rule can’t force owners to have an open mind like the Rule’s namesake.
  11. It’s a joke that there’s only 1 black head coach in the NFL. The Rooney Rule clearly ain’t working and is just creating more problems with the appearance of sham interviews. NFL has a race problem when it comes to hiring coaches but Rooney Rule seems to be making it worse.
  12. Flores will never coach again in NFL. He’s basically lighting himself on fire. Ross can now sit back and tell everybody ‘I told you so.’
  13. Gronk, Patterson, 1st round WR on offense. Chandler Jones, Calais Campbell, Donte Johnson, 2nd round LB to replace Edmunds. Jones is only big ticket guy.
  14. I ain’t that high on Edmunds, but I do think he has more trade value than Saquan. I wouldn’t do that trade. It looks like there’s 6-7 ILB’s in this draft who could go in 1st 2 rounds. I’d prefer to flip Edmunds for one of those guys. I’d rather pay Fournette $5-6m than trade for Saquan.
  15. I assume they’d sign him to a long term deal. He can be their Star Lotulelei.
  16. Those guys are all free agents among many others. And Brady retirement triggers a dead cap charge. They went all in to run it back. It was worth it, but unless Green Bay let’s Rodgers walk and he plays for free, Bucs are in rebuild mode.
  17. Time to raid the Bucs. Gronk and Fournette at a minimum. If Morse retires, go after Jensen. Suh would look mighty nice next to Oliver. He could provide the edge this defense needs.
  18. I’d expect the Bills and Giants to do some deals this off-season. I’m sure Schoen values familiarity if he came from the McBeane tree. I wonder how highly Schoen values Edmunds? I’d jump on a 2nd round offer. Edmunds could be a nice building block for Giants. Bills are at different stage and need a playmaker at that position to take next step.
  19. Only if he’s cool with getting pelted by dildos every time he runs out the tunnel.
  20. Please get us a real pass rush McBeane. Cincy actyalky had guys who could chase down Mahomes. Rams have guys who can get home. Our defensive Ends are lacking. Epenesa experiment needs to end. And Hughes and Addison got nothing left.
  21. I can’t believe McVay wasted all his timeouts. Hard to think that’s not gonna come back to haunt them.
  22. Knox is a different kind of tight end than Gronk. I see Gronk making Beasley expendable. Gronk is a cross between what beasley gives you and what Doyle gave them at end of year plus he’d be our best red zone target with Gabe Davis.
