Amazing how de-valued the RB position has become. I think you’re gonna see more teams do what Shanahan did with Samuel. Use a physical WR as your RB.

Cole Beasley given permission to seek trade
BuffaloRebound replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
I could see a team with a young un-proven QB giving him a 2 year deal for around $6m per year, $7-8m in guarantees. It’s a copycat league. Teams will see Josh’s development and rightly or wrongly think Cole can help their young QB. Not crazy to think the Jets or Jags or some other team with a ton of cap room and a young QB would want Beasley. -

My guess is Beasley wants a new contract. -

It’d be better for Beasley if he was cut than traded. That tells me the Bills aren’t asking for a re-structure because then Beasley would just say cut me. -

Get Gronk and draft a WR in first 2 rounds. Beasley, Feliciano and a 5th for Saquan -
Speculative article on friction between McDermott and Staff?
BuffaloRebound replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
3 or 4 more? I’d say 2 max. Josh is too good. You’d have to move on from McDermott if we don’t at least make a Super Bowl in next 2 years. -
Speculative article on friction between McDermott and Staff?

Bottom line is if a head coach hasn’t won a Super Bowl much less get to one they are on the hot seat by year 6 or 7 regardless of how well they’ve done. With Zimmer getting the ax, McDermott is currently the longest tenured head coach who hasn’t won a Super Bowl. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2021/07/the-longest-tenured-head-coaches-in-the-nfl -

Making a Pro Bowl was the difference between his 5th year option being the average of the top 3 through 25 LB’s versus the average of the top 10. That’s why he’s making $12.7m and not $9.7m. Beane picked it up a year ago still betting on Edmunds potential. Not easy admitting a guy you traded up to the 16th pick for is an average starting LB. Maybe year 5 is the year he realizes his potential but kicking that can down the road is getting progressively more expensive. -
Wouldn’t be surprised if Ridder is 1st QB taken. Elite athlete, good enough passer, winner.

Bills interested in signing Rob Gronkowski, per Tim Graham
BuffaloRebound replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Since it’s Gronk, 1 year $6.9m should get it done. Add in a voidable year so the cap hit this year is only $4.9m. -

Whoever gets paid $13m a year to basically be a large scarecrow. Dawkins rightfully was the magnet this year until his play drastically improved at end of year. -

The reason he’s making $12.7m this year is directly related to being a 1st round draft pick and making a Pro Bowl. And no agent is gonna accept anything less than that per year on a long term deal. So when people talk about him being a disappointment due to his draft status, it’s actually very relevant. He will have made $26m in his first 5 years in the league. If he was drafted in the 2nd round and didn’t make a pro bowl, we’re probably looking at $4m total in his first 4 years and a 2nd contract in the $6-8m per year range based on production. -
He should’ve said he’s a bleu cheese guy to hit the trifecta.

Anthony Barr would be at least half the price. He fits the physical profile of Edmunds. I’m sure he can be taught to drop back and be in the right spots. If he makes a play, then we’re ahead of the game. -

Todays Take on Generational Money Where is That Line ?
BuffaloRebound replied to T master's topic in Off the Wall
I’d say $5m in investable money sets you and your family (3 kids or less) up for life without having to ever work again. Not sure why anybody would want their kids never to have to work. College and maybe a down payment on a house. More than that and your probably doing more harm than good. -
Where's the salary cap for the Bills?
BuffaloRebound replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Seems like the Bills could gain $30m in cap space relatively pain free. That’s before even dealing with Edmunds $12.7m cap hit and Darryl Williams or Morse. -
Danielle Hunter, DE, the perfect trade candidate
BuffaloRebound replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
Edmunds for Hunter straight up? Player for player trades are rare, but this would make a lot of sense for both teams. -

This is the main problem. The $12.7m option kills any chance of getting him for Milano money. And it’s $12.7m instead of $9m because he made the Pro Bowl. Pro Bowl alternate Josh Allen will tell you how much making the Pro Bowl means. -
He’s feeding the narrative that he’s a pouty baby and not a leader.

Between Milano, Hyde, Poyer, Tre White, and Taron Johnson in the Back 7, I think they could assimilate a rookie LB. -

https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-2022-nfl-free-agency-rankings-linebackers Every guy on this list would be significantly cheaper than Edmunds according to their projections. And there look to be 5-6 MLB’s projected to go in first 3 rounds.
