Sign me up for both Gronk and Engram. Give Josh a 6th OL in Gronk who’s also a red zone threat. And Engram can be a bigger version of mckenzie. Would love to get bigger and more physical at the skill positions.
-
Gronk is a completely different Tight End than Knox. If Gronk is signed, my guess is that would mean more 2 Tight End sets.

How about a Free Agent Guard? Titans release Saffold
BuffaloRebound replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Would not surprise me if McBeane goes OL with 1st round pick. Dawkins, Kenyon Green/Zion Johnson, Morse, Williams after paycut, Brown, Gronk with Ford, Bates, Doyle as backups could be a good O-Line -
https://frontofficenfl.com/2020/05/25/2020-nfl-cba-explained-contract-incentives-ltbe-nltbe/ Since he had 14 catches for 135 catches last year and was 3rd string, you could structure the contract where you pay him say $1.5m base and put some NLTBE (Not Likely To Be Earned) incentives that should be a slam dunk for him to earn as the #2 behind Knox and raise his comp to around $2.5-3m but still only counts $1.5m cap for 2022.

Those are the type of guys worth taking a chance on like a Jordan Phillips. Instead of signing JAGs to $5m per year. Sign guys like Howard to vet minimum deals and let somebody else pay them next year when they get good.

Per Adam Schefter: Cowboys likely to release Amari Cooper

This deserves its own thread. Tells you what NFL players think of Cousins. Diggs thought the same. -
Mitch gonna get paid.
-
Sure, if we don’t get Gronk. He needs the Bills more than the Bills need him, so I could see a $2-3m deal with incentives. Worth a flier.
-
I wouldn’t hate it. He’d be inexpensive and could be useful.
-
Since he barely played last year, the not likely to be earned incentives could come in handy. Could probably get him for close to vet minimum.

Is this our splash signing? 😀

Seahawks going after Deshaun Watson

Why would watson go to seattle? He has a no trade clause. I’d think Carolina would be prohibitive favorite for a trade. -

This must be what desperation smells like. -
Seattle. Lockett or a 3rd. Because they are clearly in rebuilding mode and on paper Edmunds is a young Pro Bowler that fits with their new timeline.

Giants cap situation and potential trade options
BuffaloRebound replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Color me skeptical. Can’t see how the solution for a guy that has trouble catching the ball is to make him a WR. -
Agreed. This is a gift dropping into Beane’s lap. You could get Wagner for probably half the cap hit of Edmunds this year. And separately I could see Seattle trading for Edmunds in a face saving move that sounds good trading for a young Pro Bowler to replace Wagner. Lockett for Edmunds. Let’s speak it into existence. Could you imagine getting Lockett and Wagner for the same cap hit as Edmunds?
-
By the time he realizes his potential in 5 years, Seattle might be good again.
-
2 years $20m all guaranteed get it done? Trade Edmunds for Lockett.
-
That Seattle roster gonna be picked clean. Dunlap will request to be released too. Lockett asked to get traded. I’d assume Metcalf could be had for the right deal too.
-
Trade Edmunds to Seattle. He fits their new timeline.

Seattle traded two 1st rounders for Jamal Adams.
