    How is it not killing this guy to get out there and help his team, especially with all the injuries in the secondary? That said, if our $40m per year Hollywood QB didn’t fumble a snap we still win that game.

    Too much crazy stuff happens to this team at end of games to pass it off as a couple bad things. Hail Murray, 13 seconds and whatever happened in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter today are 3 of the biggest meltdowns in the NFL over that timeframe.

    Yep. The problem was not running it with Josh 3 times when you got to the 5 on 2nd and 2.

    You gotta admit, we are and have been horrible in situational football the past couple years. You might not coach that exact situation in practice, but it’s definitely on the coaches to put guys on the field they trust to make the right plays.

    The fact that the coaching staff can’t get this team to stay focused for 60 minutes is a real problem.

    If we were gonna go for it on 4th and 2, how do you not run Josh 3 times in that situation when it’s 2nd and 2?

    All the joking and looseness from the players is clearly fake. They turtle up when it counts. Allen was Bill Buckner-like but let’s not forget Diggs dropping a ball that would’ve sealed the game.

    Completely agree. Hard to have any confidence the team is gonna pull out close games against good teams with McDermott at the helm. Becoming clear that Josh needs a different coach to get him and the team over the hump.

    Not sure how you get in game shape other than getting out there on sundays. Nobody’s asking him to play every snap. Treat it like his pre-season. Our secondary needs all the help it can get. 2 or 3 defensive series from White would be a nice jolt for the team.

    I said worst back 7 not defense. We still have a good front 4 but the Jets weak offense attacked our backups in the back 7, especially #4 Johnson and Bernard. The Vikings offense is much better than the Jets.

    You think we stand a chance with Hamlin, #4 Johnson, Bernard, and whatever rookie we start opposite Jackson against Jefferson, Thielen, Hockenson, Dalvin Cook and Cousins? And now Edmunds is on the injury report. Here’s a question many people won’t like… why should Edmunds in a contract year play hurt when guys who already got paid like Milano and White are sitting out?

    Unfortunately the smart money is to bet the Vikings. Even if Josh plays, the defense has too many guys injured/sitting out. Without Poyer, Milano, and White, we might have the most inexperienced and worst back 7 in football.

    Almost as important as Allen playing sunday is the status of Poyer and Milano. We have no chance against a good team with Bernard and #4 Johnson starting. I’m not even gonna bother asking about White. Maybe he’ll be mentally ready to get out there by the road playoff game at KC.

    This ain’t baseball. The risking long term injury thing is a false narrative. Football throwing injuries are almost non-existent.
