Tom Brady will be Fox’s lead NFL analyst once he retires
BuffaloRebound replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why on earth would he continue playing? With that type of deal waiting for him, feels like only something bad can happen if he plays another year. -
Giants prepared to release CB Bradberry (now released)
BuffaloRebound replied to billsbackto81's topic in The Stadium Wall
He could be a good reclamation project. Definitely needs a change of scenery. He was beyond awful against Brady in the NFC championship 2 years ago. Lots of talent to work with though. 1 year $3m I’d be on board with. -

Brady not on the Patriots is much more palatable. I’m sure he’ll be a good commentator and won’t be afraid to criticize. -

No doubt there are other teams who will pay Bradberry more than the Bills will. Bills aren’t giving a CB more than a 1 year deal for a couple million. A guy like Haden makes the most sense. -
My guess is that Hughes or Addison could’ve had Lawson’s spot, but they were both either too proud or thought they could’ve got more money elsewhere.

Epenesa reminds me of Trent Murphy. Decent athlete but gets rag-dolled by O-Linemen way too much. -
Rd 6 pick 185 (6): CB Christian Benford, Villanova
BuffaloRebound replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
And more recently Ray Vetrone, Ross Vetrone, Brian Finneran, Westbrook, Austin Calitro, Ijalana, Darrell Young, Kpassagnon. Hopefully, Benford is their next guy who sticks in the League. -
Rd 6 pick 185 (6): CB Christian Benford, Villanova

Villanova isn’t your typical small school football program because the basketball program is elite and the other sports benefit from that especially from a strength and conditioning aspect. Where a kid like Benford will benefit is that Nova football players aren’t pampered and are treated like normal students in terms of academic workload. Now that football is his profession, he can be 100% focused on football like the kids at LSU and Alabama have been the last 4-5 years. -
The 2nd Wave of Free Agency Starts Today at 4PM

Could see a Joe Haden type to help at CB until Tre is 100% and/or Elam is ready to be full time starter. -
Rd 2, Pick 63 (31): RB James Cook, Georgia
BuffaloRebound replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
“Few teams got worse play on passing downs out of their running backs than the Bills. Enter second-round pick James Cook. I believe the NFL overthought the evaluation of Dalvin's brother. Yes, James is smaller. Yes, he moves differently than almost any NFL running back, with the exception of ... three-time Pro Bowler Dalvin Cook. The lateral quickness, vision, hands and route-running will translate. Taken No. 63 overall, don't be shocked if James Cook winds up catching more than 63 passes as a rookie.” https://www.nfl.com/news/2022-nfl-draft-debrief-a-j-brown-trade-fallout-draft-winners-and-losers-rookie-w -

Interesting that Jeremiah admitted he and the scouting community got it wrong on Cook. Thinks he gonna be a nice weapon in the NFL and should’ve been ranked higher. -
I like the Elam pick but love the potential of the Cook pick and what it does for our franchise QB.

Upper end FCS. Comparable to lower end BCS. -
NFL Draft 2022 Fourth to Seventh Round Discussion Thread
BuffaloRebound replied to UKBillFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you look at the depth chart, Sweeney at 3rd string TE, IOL backup, and punter are only 3 positions a guy picked from here on out would have even a fighters chance to make the roster. -
That was pure gold. The best was the production lady coming out and pointing to the card. If you paid somebody to punk everything the draft has become, couldn’t have done it better.
-
Call me old fashioned, but it was way better when it was Kiper, the Commisioner, and a few drunk Jets fans that hated every pick. It’s un-watchable now. It’s like the NFL drives down to the homeless shelter, hands out jerseys for all 32 teams and pays them to cheer no matter what their team does. It’s like the ‘mutant’s ball’ now. The best was Titan’s fans cheering when the Titans traded AJ Brown.

Take Ridder if he’s there. At minimum, he’ll be a great backup. Trade him for a 1st rounder in 3 years. -

I miss when the draft was kiper and the commissioner and a few drunk Jets fans. This is un-watchable. -
Overpaid by 2 points. Beane is a bum.
-
Ok, I can get on board with this in the 2nd round.
-
Unless they are trading Edmunds or Poyer, this 2nd round pick almost has to be an Offensive player. We are now stacked on defense. Get Josh another weapon with speed.
-
Once again, the fact that no CB’s were taken after Elam validates Beane’s itchy trigger.
