  1. Can’t trade young cost controlled depth especially at a premium position unless somebody gives you a 3rd round pick it better or a similar cost controlled young player at a premium position.
  2. I think Beane is a top GM but not bringing in competition for Bass in training camp and the preseason was dumb. If nothing else, it would’ve forced Bass to win his job instead of not trying to lose it.
  3. The only positive here is that it’s 4 down territory from the opponents 40 yard line to about the 25 yard line. No need to even bother thinking about using Bass there.
  4. Bass has always had an unorthodox kicking style with little to no run up to the kick. Probably a lot harder to fix or make adjustments when all his power has to come from his leg swing instead of also stepping into the kick.
  5. Elam is interesting. I’d prefer to keep him but he’s probably the only guy you’d get something if value in return for like a similar highly drafted WR who hasn’t broke through yet.
  6. This team needs a reliable kicker. We could get away with an inconsistent kicker the last couple years fir the most part. This year, no way. Our margin for error is too small this year to deal with an inconsistent kicker.
  7. We’re gonna have to do it this year with younger players. I’m excited to see what happens. Hopefully we can stay within striking distance and gel by end of the season.
  8. Seriously. The hysterics are outta control. We just outplayed Pittsburgh with them playing Wilson and Fields at QB vs Bills playing Trubisky and Dinucci.
  9. So all our WR’s stink but it’s the end of the world if some of them get hurt. The chicken littles need to at least try to be consistent. Injuries happen. As long as Josh, Dawkins, and Kincaid can play, we have enough depth to compete as long as the coaches don’t make dumb decisions like playing washed-up or never-been’s instead of the promising young players on the roster.
  10. We have Josh and enough around him. Comes down to coaching and injuries.
  11. Football ain’t a place to hide and collect a paycheck especially if you don’t wanna put your body in harms way. He’s made tons of money. Time to hang ‘em up. Honestly, Russell Wilson looked the same on Saturday. Afraid to take off and run. Curl up in fetal position as soon as the rush gets near.
  12. We need a dude that still wants to ball, not a guy content to collect a paycheck just to be Josh’s buddy.
  13. No way. Davis looks good, but he doesn’t have Cooks speed. As much as the fumbles and drops are annoying, his speed has to be accounted for by defenses.
  14. On paper Trubisky should be a decent backup, but he’s clearly broken and has no fight left. McBeane has to turn the page after saturdays debacle.
  15. I’d like to see more from Dinucci. He actually looked quick and decisive in the pocket on the couple throws they let him make. Trubisky is done. His indecisiveness will continue to get him hurt. Move on.
  16. Agreed. Coleman did right thing not getting himself killed trying to catch a knuckle curve pass. Trubisky looked EJ Manuel ‘deer in headlights’ bad. Cannot role with him as the #2. Heck, Dinucci looked quicker and more decisive on the couple passes they let him throw.
  17. Ray Davis is a player. Hardy deserves a spot on the 53 man. Some good run blocking by our OL and our DL looked dominant all 4 quarters
  18. wouldn’t mind seeing a steelers score and bass having to make a field goal to win it. Gotta find out if Bass has it.
  19. The only backup QB’s worth anything are guys that can run around and make some plays with their feet. Trubisky is a waste.
  20. This is definitely a part of it. The other part is that a lot of big money contracts were given out on the defensive side especially before Josh’s extension. Injuries to guys still on their rookie deal don’t hurt nearly as much as injuries to Tre, Miller, and Milano.
  21. Gotta be able to win with young and cheap players on defense. All the rules favor the offense.
  22. Mcdermott has history of sticking with guys after they’ve already proven they can’t play meaningful snaps.
  23. McBeane has gotten burned a lot with contracts on defensive side of the ball. Things will only get worse with injuries in a 18 game season. Pay the offense, play young guys on defense.
  24. Why on earth would we throw the ball on the goal line when we have a 250lb QB that can’t be stopped on 3rd and 4th and short? Also Diggs, Davis, and Knox are not good contested catch guys
  25. He made so many great passes against the 49ers in 2020 at Arizona. He completely demoralized a great defense. My favorite was at the 29 second mark when he threw it over the top of Fred Warner and in between the CB and Safety. An insane pass that probably only 2-3 guys in history of the game could’ve made. Arm strength, touch, and pinpoint accuracy. Favre, Elway, maybe Rodgers
