The only thing I took from the first 10 minutes of the game is that the Bengals had a plan to go right at Tre White, and were so confident in that plan succeeding that they elected to receive the opening kickoff.

Continuing yards after catch (YAC) mystery
BuffaloRebound replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Definitely a play design thing. Watch other NFL games and you’ll see a lot of quick throws at or behind the line of scrimmage. I guess when you have a QB that can so easily gain those same types of yards with his legs, Bills don’t see the need to draw up those types of plays. Davis and McKenzie could definitely execute those plays though. I think at the beginning of his career, Daboll let Josh be Josh. Now I think Josh is a mature enough QB to dink and dunk you down the field if that’s what defense is giving us. -
Dolphins will keep Tua for at least another year. Not so sure about Jones. He’s looked really bad without a top notch running game, which they had last year but not this year. I could see them moving on this off season.

They are very creative with Etienne and Ingram. And Lawrence is an excellent athlete. Lawrence looks legit. After Chiefs, Bills and Bengals, that’s probably most dangerous AFC team

His ability to play the ball was so sorely needed. Seemed like he had more pass breakups saturday night than the whole secondary the previous month.

New York Giants @ Washington Game Thread
BuffaloRebound replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
No it wasn’t. He was at most a half yard off the line and kept checking with the side judge. Even NBC’s former ref said it was too technical to call in the 1st quarter much less in the last minute of the game. -

I don’t think it’s corruption, it just poor inconsistent officiating. You got one over-officious clown ref on one side calling a bogus procedure penalty and a coward ref on the other side afraid to call a clear DPI on the next play. That’s always been my gripe with NFL officiating. There’s too many different guys that can throw a flag on any play and it leads to inconsistencies and teams being at the mercy of one of 8 guys that will or won’t throw a flag on any given play. -

I’ll give NBC a lot of credit. Their former ref rules expert even said the procedure penalty was BS in addition to the obvious PI. -

Pretty horrible sequence for the refs. A BS technicality call to erase a TD, then obvious missed PI. -

Agreed. Kudos to Collinsworth for telling it like it is. Most of the NFL TV guys are shameless shills. -
The Sharknado angle… make a movie so bad that it’s fun to watch.

If we must criticize, how 'bout Cam Lewis gets his share?
BuffaloRebound replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t root for anybody to lose their job, but there’s no way the coaches can trust putting him on the field after that. Will make you question the coach’s commitment to winning a championship if he ever sees the field again. -
NFL Week #15 - Fish at Buffalo - Post Game Thread
BuffaloRebound replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Diggs pulled himself out of the last drive after he got tackled. He went back in 3 plays later but I was having memories of Kevin Carter of the Rams pulling himself out of the Super Bowl against the Titans on the last drive. And Vermeil looking at him like ‘Seriously’. Diggs defintely seems like a sensitive dude. Gets mad very easily. -
These “catch” replays are ridiculous
BuffaloRebound replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
The problem with that play was the ref had no idea if McKenzie caught the ball and just ruled it incomplete because his view was blocked. But that call set in motion the incomplete ruling standing after review. In the NBA, refs go straight to the monitor if they can’t make a call on the court. Don’t make call on the field if you have no idea. -
Is There So Little Love for Tremaine Edmunds?
BuffaloRebound replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Would you rather sign the top OL in free agency or bring back Edmunds? Edmunds is a good LB but I think we’d get way more bang for the buck bringing in an elite O-Linemen. -
I’m starting to get extremely frustrated with Dorsey.
BuffaloRebound replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was completely asinine going 4 wide when Morse went out. Recipe to get Josh killed. I think McDermott finally told Dorsey ‘we’re running the f’ing ball no matter what here’ after the strip sack fumble when we were down 8. Sometimes the best way to help your OLine out is to run the ball.
