  1. You think we stand a chance with Hamlin, #4 Johnson, Bernard, and whatever rookie we start opposite Jackson against Jefferson, Thielen, Hockenson, Dalvin Cook and Cousins? And now Edmunds is on the injury report. Here’s a question many people won’t like… why should Edmunds in a contract year play hurt when guys who already got paid like Milano and White are sitting out?
  2. Unfortunately the smart money is to bet the Vikings. Even if Josh plays, the defense has too many guys injured/sitting out. Without Poyer, Milano, and White, we might have the most inexperienced and worst back 7 in football.
  3. Almost as important as Allen playing sunday is the status of Poyer and Milano. We have no chance against a good team with Bernard and #4 Johnson starting. I’m not even gonna bother asking about White. Maybe he’ll be mentally ready to get out there by the road playoff game at KC.
  4. This ain’t baseball. The risking long term injury thing is a false narrative. Football throwing injuries are almost non-existent.
  5. Do people realize an NFC loss counts the same as a divisional loss? Divisional record only becomes a thing in tie-breaker scenarios.
  6. Exactly. You could argue being conservative with injuries in the Jets game led to this mess because if the game was 10 points at hand like it should’ve been, Josh doesn’t have to be in harm’s way on that last drive. But it’s McDermott’s way. I’m sure all the injuries we’ve suffered this year is making him more conservative with injuries. He turtles up.
  7. Yes, they had a competitive advantage. It was wanting the game more than the Bills.
  8. Mosley’s separated shoulder was ‘football functional’ enough to come back into the game on Sunday. Maybe McDermott needs to walk into the training room and do his best General Patton impersonation.
  9. It’s really hard to injure your arm throwing a football. The stress put on your arm from throwing a baseball is completely different. Can’t imagine there’s a risk of making it worse other than the normal risks you take every time you got out on a football field.
  10. Those 4 represent 40% of the salary cap on the defensive side of the ball and are all back 7 players. And the Jets game-planned accordingly. White could’ve really helped. Our back 7 was Taron, Edmunds, Dane and a bunch of backups and rookies.
  11. Agreed. We can’t throw away any more games being overly conservative with injuries.
  12. I’d be surprised if Josh doesn’t play. Nothing some pain killers can’t cure for 3 hours. Vikings will still have to cover the whole field. Dorsey goes to a more run heavy, short passing game with a couple shots downfield.
  13. Because we’re playing 2 backups at safety, a rookie CB on one side and a guy on the other side who returned 2 weeks after it looked like he broke his neck. If nothing else, play a few snaps and provide some leadership. Gotta be creeping into his teammates minds about what’s going on. There was hope he’d be ready week 1. We’re on to week 10.
  14. I’d put White on IR if he’s not up to playing some snaps on Sunday. We don’t need that around the team. These guys are soft enough. Make a statement. We need hungry guys on the field.
  15. ‘Hungry and Humble’… except when we’re making business decisions.
  16. Just looks like we’re trying to coast until we get closer to the home stretch. Who knows, maybe it’ll work. Heck, Thurman did the same thing Diggs does in the last half of his career going to sideline after he got hit and he lasted 12 years and ended up in Canton. From a fan perspective, it’s frustrating especially when McDermott constantly preaches the ‘hungry and humble’ line. Gotta be infuriating for Bills fans at Met Life yesterday.
  17. Excellent points. Mosley came back in game after what looked like a separated shoulder. Diggs goes to the bench anytime he’s touched. Who was the hungrier team yesterday?
  18. There was finally nobody else they could blame.
  19. With all the crazy conspiracy theories out there in the world, I actually think there’s something to this. He looked really off yesterday. Slow to process, indecisive and sometimes statuesque in the pocket. The game moves so damn fast. It doesn’t take much to impact your play.
  20. I thought the pick to Alexander was the worst interception I’d ever seen until the one on the opening drive yesterday.
  21. Gotta be Knox and Davis. Mckenzie is a gadget guy and paid accordingly. Knox is paid like a top end Tight End and is putting up JAG production. Davis’s drops have killed possessions.
  22. I don’t see many posts lamenting that we stink. It’s just hard to deny the 2 year trend of being 2-7 in games decided by less than 10 points. Was hoping we turned the corner after the Ravens and Chiefs games. Everyone (players, coaches, fans) seems to panic when we don’t blow out the teams we should beat. When do we pull out games at end like Chiefs and Bucs yesterday where we play like crap for 55 minutes but are confident we’re still gonna pull it out on the end? Gotta learn to be comfortable playing in tight games.
  23. When you’re favored to win every game and the other team is coming for you and making off-season personnel moves specifically to beat you, you gotta bring it every week. We leave so many points on the field every week. It’s like we have to be at least 10 points better than the other team to win. So frustrating to watch.
  24. I’m not not sure Willis ever gets in another game after that performance.
