  1. Agreed. Can definitely nitpick the weightings and grades because there’s a lot of numbers there, but overall it looks pretty on point.
  2. The weightings are pretty interesting. 58% for offense and 42% for offense. Sounds right but like others have said, how is he coming up with the weightings?
  3. Guess Beane isn’t an idiot after all.
  4. I like it. Somebody at OBD sending him the message that he’s gotta up his game. I don’t think he ends up getting traded unless it’s for a Hopkins, Jeudy or Simmons. More likely McBeane is trying to light a fire under him.
  5. WR, TE, OL, or DL. Off-ball LB’s have been de-valued almost as much as RB’s.
  6. Not saying he would. Timing just curious that within a couple hours of Singletary signing with Texans, Bills sign Harris. Almost like Beane was waiting to see terms of Singletary’s deal. Because Harris was hurt last year, there’s a lot of NLTBE bonus money that Harris could probably easily earn this year as well.
  7. Wouldn’t be surprised if Beane waited to see Singletary contract so he could structure Harris’s deal to preserve the 3rd round pick
  8. Couldn’t Beane just call up his buddy Schoen and have him sign a Van Wroten, Hart, or Murphy to vet minimum deals?
  9. Pre the latest injury, he definitely fit the good hands twitchy separator that Josh seems to do well with. If he hasn’t lost a step, he’d add a lot to the offense.
  10. Completely agree. And when you have a year with a lot of injuries like last year, it really gets magnified when your paying special teams guys $3m per year and they can’t contribute at all on offense or defense.
  11. RB is a position where you gotta know if a guy is still hungry to take the pounding. Huge question mark there with Fournette. If we could get Playoff Lenny or the Damien Harris from 2021, that’s the type of back we need. Probably better to draft one in the 5th or 6th round who’s big and hungry.
  12. Will probably be a NY Giant by Monday
  13. I think that’s a good fit for Gesicki. I liked the idea of bringing him here, but Gesicki wins with his length and jumping ability. Touch passers like Fitz and Mccorkle are a better fit for him than Josh. Guys that throw it up there even when he doesn’t look open. Josh does better with guys like Diggs and Beasley who create a lot of separation and Josh uses his Howitzer to get the ball to them. Probably why the Bills preferred Harty.
  14. Cook is gonna be on the field more in his 2nd year and Hines will be used more as well. I think McDermott wants a downhill bruiser to round out the RB room.
  15. Can certainly do worse but he commands no attention from defenses. He’s not explosive enough to break big runs and he’s not powerful enough to get the tough yards.
  16. More likely, it was Poyer or David for the Bills. And Poyer agreed to return.
  17. Nah. Now that Poyer is re-signed this is perfect time to go younger and cheaper at LB.
  18. McDermott’s strength is finding and developing DB’s and LB’s. Would much rather spend free agency dollars on offense or D-Line.
  19. Can’t help but think of the scene in Goodwill Hunting where Affleck shakes down the guys interviewing him for the money in their pockets.
  20. I think I’d rather bring back poyer than sign a 33 year old LB.
  21. WR definitely worth the investment. With Diggs already here, I just don’t think a 1st or 2nd round pick for a WR you’re gonna have to give $20m per year next year is wise. I’d rather double dip and draft one in the 1st or 2nd this year and sign a potential elite Slot guy like Gesicki for $10m. Diggs, Davis, Gesicki, 1st round WR, and Shakir could be top 5 good.
  22. Any 2 of Oliver, Gabe, and 3rd round pick. Doubt that gets it done but we can’t be trading 1st and 2nd round picks. Those high picks need to be cost controlled starters for the next 4+ years. Jeudy only has 1 more year left before his contract balloons.
  23. White, Hyde, Oliver and Taron really the only contracts now where you question the cap hit bang for the buck. White and Hyde are coming off injury and their cash salary this year is reasonable. So probably nothing to be done there. Ride it out and see if they have bounce back years. Taron probably a bargain at $6.5m salary this year. He could be extension candidate to lower cap hit. Oliver is the one that kinda sticks out like sore thumb. $10.7m salary and cap hit is too rich with too little impact for a title contender with a QB not on a rookie deal.
  24. Not more than $3m. Still gets to play football and make more than he would in any other job. And he’s best buds with Josh. It’s possible somebody gives him more money but Bills can just wait out the Backup QB musical chairs game.
  25. Darnold or trubisky. And they’ll be cheaper than keenum was.
