A commonality among the Bills recent signings
BuffaloRebound replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Really a theme to get bigger and tougher for whole off-season continuing into the season. Kincaid replaced Beasley role. Cyrus added beef to middie of line. Harris is a power back and Fournette is an even bigger replacement. Rapp is a bigger version of Hamlin. Rasul is a bigger Tre replacement and Joseph is the immovable 1 Tech we probably needed even if Daquan was healthy. -
Bills sign DT Linval Joseph---Elam to IR
BuffaloRebound replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
If the plan is to play Poyer at LB and Taron Johnson is already on field all the time, you better have an immovable 1 Tech to eat blocks and keep the 6 DB’s and Bernard clean. -
So you’re saying they didn’t manhandle us for 5 quarters especially their offense vs our defense? Not saying the Bills can’t win on sunday night but you’ve offered up no reasons why it will be different than last year.
-
Agreed. Bengals were so confident the 1st game that they accepted the kickoff after winning coin toss which rarely happens in current NFL. I think it was combo of picking on a shaky Tre White and exploiting our back 7’s size/speed/physicality mismatch with their skill players. Goods news is Hurst is gone and our secondary is better than last year.

Bills signing Fournette (for real this time)
BuffaloRebound replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not sure why you couldn’t use him similarly to Knox who with his suspect hands shouldn’t have been running downfield routes. Knox was good at pass protection and dump offs. -
They bullied us and made us look soft in the 5 quarters we played them. Hard to feel confident.

probably upgrade over post ACL injury Tre.

Big CB seems to fit Mcdermott zone scheme. semi ball hawk. good pickup

Bears CB Jaylon Johnson Requests to be Traded
BuffaloRebound replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in The Stadium Wall
McTurtle prefers slow and steady. -
Have we ever made a big move before the trade deadline?
BuffaloRebound replied to ArdmoreRyno's topic in The Stadium Wall
Given how long it took Tre to recover from the ACL injury, Bills can’t expect anything from Tre next year. We need a #1 CB. -

If this is all it’s gonna take, a 2nd and Elam could get it done. -

If tre is off the books next year, Bills have the need and future cap space. Only way I see this happening though is if Bears want Elam. Can’t see Beane using a 1st round pick on another corner which is what it will take if Bears don’t want Elam. -

Agreed, bug you can’t count on Tre playing for the Bills again. Bills are in need of a #1 CB long term. Benford is a cost controlled good #2 CB for next 3 years. -
NFL Trade Deadline Oct 31 - Rumored List of Players Available
BuffaloRebound replied to ngbills's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s exactly how it works in the NFL and every other business. Most recent sale or comp is what every next potential sale is based on. And it’s why all the other owners were so pissed at Haslam for Watson’s contract. -
NFL Trade Deadline Oct 31 - Rumored List of Players Available
BuffaloRebound replied to ngbills's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Leonard Williams on a half year rental is worth a 2nd rounder, Washington would rightly want at least a 1st rounder for Allen. Carroll probably destroyed any chance of deals getting done today by drastically over-paying for Williams. -
TRADE! Giants send Williams to Seattle for 2nd
BuffaloRebound replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Price seems steep. Makes you think there were multiple suitors. He would’ve made a lot of sense for the Bills. -
Actually a roster bonus of $5m too, so 3 years remaining at $50m plus only $1.25m of this years salary. And Bears would take $7.5m dead cap hit. Bears have $10m in cap space. I think most would’ve brought back Edmunds at $50m over 4 years with only 2024 salary guaranteed. He’s been in the defense long enough to play Milano’s position.
-
Would be hilarious if Bills traded a 3rd rounder to Bears to bring him back. There’s surprisingly only $5m in dead cap to Bears if they traded him. Looks like there’d be 3 years $45 left on his contract and Bills would only pay half of his $2.5m salary this year. So essentially 3.5 years $46m. Kinda like what houston astros did with verlander.

I’m happy with this. They need a battering ram that has a little more tread on the tires than Murray. -
Trade deadline needs what are your priorities

A stout DT and a power RB/Harris replacement please. -
Giants Jets game - Daboll's call to attempt a FG
BuffaloRebound replied to BillsIsrael's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wilson was terrible yesterday. 2 fumbles lost, taking a sack on 4th down when game was 99.9% lost. -
Giants Jets game - Daboll's call to attempt a FG

Even though it doesn’t feel like it, the Field Goal was right call. Dude had to miss a 35 yarder and then Thibodreaux had to gift them a timeout for Jets to still spike ball with 1 second left. Literally everything had to go wrong to lose that game but it did so there’s something to not giving the ball back to the offense despite analytics and everything else telling you otherwise.
