You gotta know this is coming...
BuffaloRebound replied to Dr. Trooth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The amount of money these guys get now has changed everything. They'll cash their paychecks and keep their mouths shut. -
Why would Holmgren or any of the top guys like Shanahan, Cowher, Dungy, or even Gruden consider the Bills? There will be better jobs available to these guys. The only realistic scenario is Schottenheimer at this point. If nothing else, the team wouldn't be a bunch of pu$$ies anymore.

So leave a truly incompetent person as Head Coach? If Ralph cared one iota about the fans, he would fire Jauron. It doesn't matter who replaces him. The season is lost. This is either Ralph not wanting to pay someone else a head coaching salary or publicly humiliating Jauron for the rest of the season because Ralph was dumb enough to give him a $9m extension after a fluke 5-1 start.
-
This is also a way for Ralph to humiliate Jauron. Ralph knows he can't pull the old fire the coordinator routine and recoup any of Jauron's money. So the only thing left to do is keep Jauron and have the fans boo him during the remaining 4 home games. Meanwhile, Ralph the weasel is afraid to show his face on the field and take any responsibility for this mess.
-
The only interest I have in the rest of the football season is when/if Bills get a new GM, and if Clausen, Bradford, or Locker become deserving of a top 3 pick. At this point, I don't care if Jauron stays this season as it will ensure a poor record and a chance at a franchise QB. But if a new GM isn't hired, it really doesn't matter as the Brandon/Modrak/Guy triumvarate will surely screw up the pick.
-
The only question that remains is how will Ralph force Jauron to quit so he doesn't have to pay him $8m? I don't really see how he can tell him to fire Van Pelt or April, whose units have been putrid. Fewell's probably safe. Maybe Ralph can claim he wasn't of sound mind and senile when he gave Jauron his contract. Can't think of anything else, but there's no way Ralph eats Jauron's money.
-
I don't know if he'd net a 1st rounder, but a team like Indy might give up a 2nd rounder. But do we really want Brandon/Jauron making these decisions? That's why Jauron needs to be gone yesterday. This year is written off especially with Jauron here and the fact that we can't beat anyone in our division. Start the rebuilding now, and at least get something out of the rest of the season.
-
If all Ralph cares about is pocketing $30m+ per year in addition to the $700m+ in appreciation on is $25k investment, lower the $123m per year on players to $115m per year and go hire a real Coach and real GM.

Would You Trade For Leinart?
BuffaloRebound replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They are both short-arming pu$$ies, so it doesn't really matter which one is better. -
The funniest/saddest part about it is Ralph can't even do that well. He has pissed away hundreds of millions the past decade on guys who don't produce more wins and don't put more fans in the seats.

Blows the New England game. Now out for the year. Heck of a year, Leodis.

this IS whats wrong with the offense
BuffaloRebound replied to bbillyfootballcoach's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Some people like to claim Edwards has the required arm strength because he can loft the ball 50 yards. Arm strength also includes being able to get the ball to your WR's 20 yards down field in tight coverage. Edwards doesn't have the velocity to make those throws and that is the reason he is hesitant to throw them. Growing a pair would certainly help but so would having the arm strength to zip those balls into tight spaces. -
Bills Strength and Conditioning Coaches
BuffaloRebound replied to billsguy512's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Probably a combination of a couple things... maybe sub-par strength and conditioning, soft training camp and pre-season, and not much competition for playing time with unproven rookies as the primary back-ups. I wouldn't necessarily blame the coaching staff for going soft in training camp when they have such little proven depth. -
This sums up the last 3+ years perfectly.
-
Amen. 3 years is an eternity in the NFL. The guy is not a winner. Bring in a new coach after next week and see what you have in Edwards for the last 12 games under a more aggressive philosophy.

Drew Brees Took The "Old Fashioned 5 Years"...
BuffaloRebound replied to VJ91's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Edwards has enough arm to be adequate/good. Brees is an elite QB now because he has enough arm to fit the ball in tight spaces all over the field. -
Drew Brees Took The "Old Fashioned 5 Years"...
BuffaloRebound replied to VJ91's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brees is one of the few QB's in recent memory to dramatically improve his arm strength. He didn't have the velocity in his first couple of years to make the throws he makes now. Edwards needs to find out what Brees did to get more zip on the ball. -
Roscoe Parrish Back On The Trade Block
BuffaloRebound replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This drove me crazy yesterday. I don't know if he simply is afraid to run up and catch the ball or doesn't want to ruin his return average, but his habit of letting balls bounce has to annoy the coaches. I wonder if the sudden leak that he's on the block again has something to do with him twice letting punts bounce. -
If you buy conventional thinking...
BuffaloRebound replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For the first time in a while, I am confident on 4th and short that the defense will stuff the play. I am praying for wind and/or rain next Sunday in Orchard Park from 4-7pm. -
Not That This Had Relevance To The Outcome
BuffaloRebound replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Think that was the same guy who flagged Bell for not being on the line of scrimmage that negated a 3rd down conversion. Bell was not blatantly behind the line. BS call. -
If McKelvin doesn't fumble.......
BuffaloRebound replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
20% chance of Bills getting a 1st down and running out the clock - Jauron would have called 3 running plays no doubt and Pats would have known this and stacked the line. 85% chance of Pats putting it in the end zone after the punt. So, about 66% chance Pats still win. -
Wilfork is still a piece of garbage. He stuck his finger in Bell's face in the 1st half. I hope the Bills send the tape to the League so that POS gets fined again. That said, I'd love to have that piece of garbage on the Bills.

Couldn't agree more. The verdict is in. You can chalk up a game like this once in a blue moon as bad luck. This has happened too many times. As far as I'm concerned, the game was lost on the 2nd-to-last New England drive when the Bills basically told the Pats, "we'll let you score but hopefully take some time off the clock". Until Jauron and his pu$$y attitutde are gone, there will be more gut-wrenching losses like this.
-
I don't know how anyone can be surprised by this loss. It is only shocking if you're not a Bills fan. This is a mediocre team with a lifeless wimp as a coach. The game was lost when the defense went into pu$$y hope-the-time-runs-out mode.
