  1. Can Crabtree and his agent be that stupid? Should the Bills give Maybin less than Orakpo because most prognosticators had Orakpo going higher?
  2. Is it really that hard to set the market for draft picks when you have all the parameters pretty much given to you? Not trying to make a mountain out a molehill since most years this doesn't matter, but why not seize the advantage that extra week brings you. It just under-scores how this is not a dynamic organization.
  3. Joyner might be right but Losman can't even land a job as a backup. Losman needs to humble himself, go to Canada, get playing time and become a consistent QB. He's gotten more chances than he deserved in Buffalo and the rest of the League knows you can't rely on him even in a backup role.
  4. That's asking a lot of a guy who hasn't played football in 4 years and basically has 3 months before the season starts to gain 30 pounds and get the rust off. Plus he has to wash 4 years of floor-slapping Duke d-baggery out of his system.
  5. This might be the dumbest rule I have ever heard of. So if Google offers a college kid a job before graduation, needs him to start right away, and the job isn't dependent on having his degree, the kid can't take the job and finish his degree later? I'm sure the colleges fought for this so their graduation rates for football players aren't more horrible, but this is an example of a rule to help the colleges look better at the expense of the athletes.
  6. Bills gave Wendell Bryant a tryout according to Profootballtalk.com, former DT and 1st round bust of the Cardinals. Interesting read and guy might be worth a shot if he's got his life in order now or could just be a case where the guy ran out of money.
  7. $9.5 million in total scheduled to be paid to Kelsay, Denney, and Spencer Johnson this year. Something has to change... horrible return on investment.
  8. Is he better than Walker at LT? That's the only question that matters as it looks like he'd probably be cheaper as well.
  9. 6th and 7th rounders should not influence an initial draft grade. Most of those guys don't make the team and should be looked at in conjunction with the UDFA's signed. If the Bills somehow landed Henderson, I would be very happy with this offseason.
  10. Tight End is a luxury right now with the WR's, and RB's we have. Go get Henderson. With Henderson and Stroud, Maybin gets more time on the field.
  11. I'd be very surprised if the Bills traded up to get Levitre to be a backup. Walker, Levitre, Hangartner, Wood, and Butler should find a way to get on the field.
  12. How come no one else wants him? We might have the best WR corp in the league, so I don't know why we would go after him when WR-needy teams aren't.
  13. I'm not advocating Maybin, but that type of thinking is why we haven't made the playoffs for 9 years. A 20 year old putting up those kind of numbers in his 1st year of starting is certainly intriguing. It would suggest he's only going to get better and he seems like a good kid and hard worker. On the downside, it was his 1st year and teams probably didn't design their blocking schemes around him.
  14. How about Roscoe and pick #28 to Minnesota for pick #22 if Pettigrew gets past Philly? It would make sense for both teams.
  15. If you trade up that far, you are paying him Peters money. That would idiotic.
  16. It seems like the consensus is that Everette Brown will be available at pick #28. Gosselin, who is pretty well respected, has him as the 53rd best prospect. I guess I'd be happy with Andre Smith or Maybin at #11.
  17. Smith's offseason probably cost him Top 5... too much guaranteed money. If Cincy doesn't take him at #6, I doubt Oakland takes him at #7 and he'd be there at #8.
  18. 2 4th rounders according to trade chart. Jax is rumored to want out of the top 10 and Bills supposedly took a 4th and 6th instead of a 3rd for Peters. Could not mean anything but seems to be some smoke there.
  19. I think the Bills have a trade in place with Jax if who they want falls to #8. Andre Smith could be that guy. I don't know if the Bills would draft an interior OL at #28 if they get Smith because he might start out at one of the Guard positions. I think they'd go defense at #28 in that scenario unless Pettigrew is there at #28.
  20. Williams and Dockery living at the same house. Better not let Ralph know the address. If he had any honor, he'd bust his butt to get himself in shape and beg Ralph to play for a veteran minimum contract to earn all those millions he stole from the Bills.
  21. I never understood the hype surrounding him in college. With that contract and not fitting into a 3-4 defense, it will be interesting to see what KC does with him. I bet they'd take a 3rd rounder plus maybe a conditional 4th or 5th the next year.
  22. Bills will trade up with Jax and take Curry or Orakpo, whoever is still there. No OT's in first 2 rounds.
  23. He will not last long in the sports writing business. Too level-headed and intelligent. Buffoonery and absolutes are what rule now-a-days.
  24. Maybe his injury ruined his career, but the guy had a monster preseason his rookie year and now looks a step slow on every play.
  25. We probably have to trade up with Jax to get Curry, Orakpo, or Andre Smith. I thought I remember reading somewhere that Jax wants out of the top 10 and that DelRio is smitten with Cushing.
