  1. I agree. He doesn't look like he says great upper body strength. He also didn't look very explosive. I didn't see him shed blocks very well. He's good no doubt, but last night left me wondering if he doesn't benefit greatly from the Alabama Defensive Lineman giving him free lanes to the ball.
  2. This reminds me of Bills-Cowboys Super Bowl also played at the Rose Bowl.
  3. Bulaga looks pretty good. Powerful dude, huge lower body. Hard to tell if he has the quickness to excel at Left Tackle, but he looks like he could definitely play anywhere else.
  4. The Bills could do a lot worse. I always found him to be a little full of hot air. But Baltimore is a blue collar, cold-weather team and he won there.
  5. Depends how much money these guys are due to make. Plus, some of these guys like Youboty might be Restricted Free Agents. My guess based on what they make is Whitner, Mitchell, Stroud, Kelsay, Denny, and Parrish.
  6. Chicago won so we currently can't pick lower than 9th. Oakland and Seattle are the only other teams we can jump and they have to win and then have a better strength of schedule.
  7. I disagree with this. He has been over-analyzed and picked apart more than any other prospect, similar to Michael Oher. His arm strength is light years better than Pennington. Tebow was throwing lasers last night all over the field, regardless of how good the defenders were. Like any college player, you have to look at what he can be at the NFL level, not what he was asked to do or what system he ran in college. He does have Leftwich mechanics, but I think he has a better chance to overcome that than Leftwich because Leftwich is a poor athlete and not a hard worker as evidenced by his weight problems. I wouldn't have a problem taking Tebow in the 1st round once the super-blue chippers are gone, like Suh, McCoy, and maybe some of the Left Tackles.
  8. I'd love to have Tebow as a developmental QB who can be used in short yardage situations, but he is a luxury this team can't afford with all the other needs. Pike doesn't have the arm strength to play in Buffalo.
  9. I agree. And if the draft order holds and Bradford or Claussen get past all of those QB-needy teams to our pick, why would the Bills know something all those teams don't? Thus, don't see the Bills getting a QB with their 1st pick. In terms of picking a QB after the 1st round, is Brohm just as good of a developmental pick as any QB the Bills could have in this draft after the 1st round?
  10. Like Weis, but not sure he's got enough presence to be head coaching material. Gotta be able to motivate these guys every week. Much more to it than X's and O's.
  11. Record-wise, probably the same or worse. Can't polish this turd anymore. Re-building year.
  12. Where's he going? The only team I could see going after Owens is Oakland, since they crave the circus atmosphere and need to sell tickets. He's not good enough anymore. Look at Dallas and the improvements Romo has made with Owens gone. Even when Owens keeps his mouth shut, the circus still travels with him. It's gonna take a desperate team to sign him. Wouldn't be surprised if he pulls an Iverson and retires, but for good.
  13. Maybe Ralph will see the light and realize he's gotta let go. No one who has other options or doesn't have a sentimental connection to Buffalo is coming here with a 91 year old owner who has no succession plan in place. Even if Ralph ran a tip-top organization, which he clearly doesn't, why would Shanahan or Cowher come here when there is a high probability they will have a new boss before their contract is up and Ralph can't even guarantee where the team will be when he moves on?
  14. The worst part is Maybin hasn't shown any flashes of potential. He gets nowhere near the QB on his rushes and doesn't even get upfield. Brain farts aside, you want to see some talent when he's out there. Other than long arms, there's hasn't been much to feel positive about. He ain't gonna go somewhere and magically make himself better. Horrible article... every player had to work hard to get to the NFL. The issues arise when a guy is given $13-14m guaranteed, does he still keep his hunger?
  15. The brief amount of time he's been on the field has been a disaster. The onside kick and lining up in the neutral zone and extending a drive that ended up in points against the Jets... I totally understand why the coaches don't wanna put him on the field. This one's on the front office for using their 1st round pick on a guy not physically or mentally ready to play in the NFL. If he's a street free agent, does he even make the team?
  16. Peterson's injury history dropped him to the #7 pick. Hope the Bills can be as lucky as the Vikings were. I have no problem taking a QB, OT, or DL/LB who can rush the passer with our top 7-8 pick. Any other position that high and you better be sure you're getting a perennial Pro Bowler.
  17. Never thought I'd see Mike Williams (the 400lb bust) lined up at WR. I wouldn't even let Zorn come out of the locker-room after that play.
  18. Do you think the O-Line will be fortified next year? I don't and I'd rather not put a rookie in there so we can go 2-14 and probably ruin that rookie QB long-term. I'd rather focus on incremental improvement with a long-term plan. Vick throws a decent deep ball and Evans is the best deep ball WR in the NFL. The need for a GM and Coach is obvious. If there is a different veteran QB available who can win behind what we have at OL, then I'm all for it, but just don't see anyone else out there.
  19. A rookie QB behind that offensive line... We'd be lucky to win 2 games. I'm all for drafting a QB in the 1st round, but we still gotta go out and get a veteran QB, veteran capable OT's and LB's to compete and get better next year.
  20. People might not like to hear this, but the only way I see this team being better next year is if Vick is signed. A rookie QB will be a disaster behind this O-Line. What other veteran QB will be available? Bring Dungy in and perhaps he can quickly improve the defense. It's the best that can realistically be hoped for.
  21. Maybin mentally and physically is no where near ready to play in the NFL. For a coaching staff that needed to win right now, Maybin couldn't have been a worse pick.
  22. I agree. Nothing to lose. Trent is shot. Pass rushers smell the fear in him.
  23. Poz makes the tackle 3 yards into the endzone. Well done! Way to attack the line of scrimmage. Guy goes backwards more than forwards.
  24. Not an ND fan, but watched ND a bunch this year because that offense was fun to watch. Was impressed with Claussen but thought Golden Tate was their best player. He's a bigger version of Steve Smith.
  25. That's the point. It appears like his stock can't rise much higher, so the down-side risk is much greater. The whole 'juniors aren't as successful' theory is kind of a slap in the NFL talent evaluators' faces. Same thing with Bradford. It's not just the injury, but why didn't he want the next challenge after his great season last year?
