Why I THINK we need to go WR rd1
BuffaloRebound replied to sharebear's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Should be an interesting 1st round. When you're drafting at #10, you need to get a stud regardless of need. Starting to like the idea of another defensive lineman, specifically Fletcher Cox if he's there at #10. Guy is a monster and can play end or tackle in the mold of Justin Tuck. Giants have the blue-print on beating Brady and Pats. Bills would be wise to copy that model. Plus, Kyle Williams is coming off a pretty serious surgery. -
Our 2nd and 3rd could probably get us into the mid-20's. We'd still have two 4th rounders and two 5th-rounders.
-
If that's true, why would we take him at #10? Take Floyd then trade back up to get Glenn. If a lot of teams view him as a guard, then he has Decastro ahead of him and could fall to the end of the 1st. Or if Bills aren't sold on Floyd at #10, trade back. Worst case Glenn and Floyd are gone, but Kirkpatrick or Gilmore are still available.

Are The Bills Trying To Move Up?
BuffaloRebound replied to yungmack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Definitely interesting that we're having these top 6 guys in for visits. If you're talking with the teams ahead of you about moving up, might as well bring in all the guys you might trade up for so teams don't know who you're targeting. When you're not rebuilding and have some extra picks, not a bad time to move up and target an elite talent at a position of need. -
Michael Floyd - Sports Science
BuffaloRebound replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That catching radius stuff is very important, especially with a QB like Fitz who takes a lot of chances. Not a big fan of Floyd, but starting to come around a bit. Just don't think he's very explosive or a big play guy. -
Why is Trent Richardson in Buffalo?
BuffaloRebound replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree. That's a Donahoe move. Jackson is a team leader and greatly respected by everyone. Unless you make Spiller a WR, no way you take Richardson. -
Fans have to start taking Nix at his word
BuffaloRebound replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nix has forgotten more about football than I'll ever know, but to my un-trained eye Glenn isn't agile enough to handle NFL speed-rushers. He seems to lunge a lot and looks like he had just enough agility to get by playing LT in college. Don't see him as an LT in the NFL. -
Demetrius Bell - Now an Eagle

Good for him. He was patient and played his cards right. Eagles got desperate after Peters went down, and Bell reaped the rewards. Nix will certainly be 2nd guessed if Bell pans out for Eagles. -
Claiborne gets a 4 in the wonderlic
BuffaloRebound replied to richNjoisy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seriously. At least we wouldn't have to worry about him retiring at age 26 to become a teacher or go to business school. -

Sounds like sour grapes that Bell isn't taking the Cardinals' offer. The writer says Bell would be an upgrade over the guy who signed a $30m contract then whines that Bell is asking for too much. Bell is in a unique situation. If he could stay healthy, he'd be a wealthy man who'd never have to worry about money again. I don't be-grudge him for trying to find a team whose gonna over-look the injuries and pay him. -

BuffaloRebound replied to voodoo poonani's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What a whiny article. The writer will be unemployed long before Bell is. Bell clearly has a standing offer from the Bills (Nix is pretty blunt when he's moved on from someone), and is trying to get either more money or a promise to start/show-case himself. -
My first round Bills pick
BuffaloRebound replied to Bufcomments's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pretty clear Nix doesn't think Bills are in rebuilding mode. With 10 picks, I think Nix is aggressive in trading up for one of the elite guys. Blackmon, Kalil or even Claiborne at #6 or #7. -

If no one is willing to give him a long-term deal, why would he sign before the draft? -
My annual rant about draft value.
BuffaloRebound replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
+1. It's a copy-cat league and I got no problems copying the Giants' model. Reaching for Floyd or Martin to fill a need burns you more often than not. If trading up for Kalil or Blackmon is exorbitant and you can't find any trade-back partners, Ingram or Brockers isn't a bad consolation. -
Kirk Cousins says Bills among teams showing
BuffaloRebound replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd like to see what Gailey can do with a talented QB. Cousins sounds like his upside is Fitzpatrick. That Osweiler kid is more intriguing as he has a big arm and moves well for a big guy. Assuming Cleveland or Miami take Tannehill, there's really only the team who doesn't take Tannehill, maybe Seattle and the Bills who would even consider taking a QB before the 4th round. I'd think Cousins or hopefully Osweiler would be there in the 3rd round. -
Mike Mayock: Blackmon vs Floyd
BuffaloRebound replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Floyd definitely looks the part, but never really see the guy break a tackle or make guys miss after he catches the ball. Blackmon is much better after the catch. Also really like Kendall Wright, probably more so than Floyd. Guy is explosive and a threat to score every time he touches the ball. -
Justin Blackmon was in town last night
BuffaloRebound replied to metzelaars_lives's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The point is that the Bills appear to be investigating guys that will not be around at pick #10. I think it's worth it to give up a 3rd rounder to move up and take someone at #7 who is both worthy of the pick and a position of need, instead of staying at #10 and drafting the Best Player Available who most likely won't be a position of need. Bills are hopefully out of the rebuilding stage and need to find playmakers at specific positions. -

Probably makes sense for him to wait until draft is over. If Bills draft an LT at #10, Bell will be a back-up. -

If it's true that Claiborne is being flown in too, maybe Bills are seriously considering a trade up. -

If Browns take Tannehill and Bucs take Richardson, that means Rams can choose between Claiborne and Blackmon. -

WR's usually fall on draft day. If he lasts to #7, I could see us trading up with Jacksonville. They have a lot of needs and could probably still get Coples or Ingram at #10 and pick up an extra 3rd rounder. -
Kuechly is pretty intriguing. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes higher than #10. Guy has the production, measurables, and from all accounts the intangibles. Basically a bigger, more athletic Poz.

Bills trading up for Tannehill?
BuffaloRebound replied to BRAWNDO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Makes sense for Bills to drum up interest in Tannehill. If someone takes Tannehill in top 6, that means Blackmon potentially falls to 7, where we might have a willing trade partner in Jacksonville. -
All this talk about Floyd being #2 to Stevie.
BuffaloRebound replied to HornellBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure why no one is talking about Kendall Wright when it comes to WR. We need more play-makers on offense and he might be the most explosive WR in this draft. He should be in the conversation with Floyd.
