  1. It works both ways in that teams like the Bills will be more willing to trade down than they would have in the past. Just means that you're not gonna get as much trading down but you still have to field the best team possible. Barron is much more valuable to the Cowboys than the Bills because Barron is a huge upgrade over what the Cowboys have. Kuechly is more valuable to the Bills than the Cowboys.
  2. Seems like a consensus is starting to form after the top 6 guys and Tannehill. Cox, Barron, Kuechly and Gilmore are the next 4 guys. Could see Dallas or Philly giving up a 3rd to move up to #10 and get one of those guys. Both teams are aggressive and have Manning, Vick, Romo, and now RG3 in the division. I guess the Browns could move up to #10 also if Tannehill doesn't go to Dolphins.
  3. Luck, Griffin, Richardson, Claiborne, Kalil, Blackmon, Cox, Barron, Kuechly, Ingram, Gilmore
  4. Seems like New England has had multiple 1st and 2nd round picks for 10 years. Not sure any team has done less with that many prime picks at its disposal. They've drafted numerous DB's in the top 2 rounds who've been busts. Brady and Belichik have masked their mediocre/sub-par drafting.
  5. One last thought is that if we do end up staying at #10 and taking one of the defensive playmakers, I don't think we can sit and wait for a tackle at pick #41. I think we'd have to go up and get whomever is left of Martin, Glenn, or Adams at the end of the 1st. Looking like we're not gonna be able to find a WR and Tackle with our first 2 picks.
  6. Kuechly also belongs in the names of guys no one has us taking who's visited us. Think Cox will be gone, Ingram doesn't have the prototype size Nix likes, so that leaves Barron, the 2 CB's, and Kuechly.
  7. Nix was basically spelling it out to everyone today without actually saying it that we aren't taking who the mock drafts have us taking. If you go by who visited us that would mean Cox, Ingram, Barron, or one the 2 CB's.
  8. I agree. Interesting how he said most Pro Bowl LT's are drafted in the 1st 8-9 picks. Nix must be a pretty bad poker player. In my un-informed opinion, I think the Bills take Kuechly or one of the CB's if they stay at #10.
  9. Would love if Bills took him but don't think he lasts to #10. He's the faster, stronger, blue-collar version of Fairley. Watched 3-4 games of all his plays on Youtube. The guy lives in the backfield and was lined up at both end and tackle. Start him at DE and move him inside on passing downs.
  10. Thanks. Guess we can cross off Floyd and Reiff. From that visit list, Bills are covered from pick #3 to pick #20.
  11. With the roster now in relatively decent shape numbers-wise, I'd rather stay at #10 and take the higher rated player than take the 20th rated player on our board and pick up more picks.
  12. Don't like the trade for the simple fact that I can't see more than 7 or 8 draft picks making the team. Taking a look at the Bills depth chart, I see room for 1 QB, 1 TE, 1 WR, 2 OT's, 2 LB's, and 1 DB at most. We don't need more 5th round picks this year.
  13. Judging from the visit list and if we stay at #10, it's between Cox, Kirkpatrick, Gilmore, Ingram, Barron, Glenn, Martin, Adams and Tannehill. I'll say Kirkpatrick.
  14. Thanks for the list. Fletcher Cox is most surprising on that list. Guy is a monster and would love to have him, but certainly not a position of need. He might fit the title of Best Player Available at #10. Interesting how many 1st round types the Bills have brought in. Guys not projected to be available at #10 and guys projected to go in the teens and twenties. Bills draft board is either way different than most of the internet experts or Nix is considering moving around.
  15. Don't like the idea of taking a guy at #10 who isn't ready to play, but guess that's how the NFL works nowadays when it comes to QB's.
  16. I wouldn't totally be against the idea of taking Tannehill. Sounds like he needs some time before he'll be ready to play. Fitz gets another year and Tannehill learns behind him. I like Fitz but if the goal is to win a Super Bowl, we'll definitely need an upgrade down the line. As Nix says, always better to take a QB when you don't desperately need one.
  17. Pretty sure anyone would trade a 1st and 2nd rounder to get a franchise LT, especially now that rookie contracts are so team-friendly. Our other major need is WR, where there happens to be a ton a depth in this draft and you can probably get a good one in the 3rd round.
  18. Not really. Care more about whether he can cover Tight Ends and Running Backs. It's a passing league. Rather have a guy like David from Nebraska than a tackling machine like Kuechly.
  19. Saw it too. Looks like a very impressive person. Kind of guy you root for and with his under-dog status kind of guy Buffalo fans would love.
  20. Bills could potentially be trade up partners for Kalil at #5, Blackmon at #6, or Claiborne at #7. Key is Dolphins trading up to #3 to take Tannehill.
  21. If we're gonna build a new stadium, Niagara Falls makes the most sense. NY side of the Falls is embarrassing. Huge potential and with Falls as a back-drop, a staduium/convention center/shopping area could be a world-class attraction.
  22. Probably, but it's also interesting that our top 3 picks in each of Nix's drafts have all been from the Southeast, Nix's old stomping grounds. Our only pick of significance not from Southeast the last 2 years was 4th rounder Easley from UConn. Williams and Anderson, our big free agent signings also played college ball in the Southeast. Nix clearly has a comfort level with players from that area and also probably has deep connections to their college coaches. That's why I highly doubt we draft Floyd and there's even less possibility of drafting him if Nix doesn't bring him in for a visit.
  23. Interesting that San Diego never drafted a Notre Dame player when Nix was there. Nix passed on Claussen twice when QB was a huge need. Claussen seems to be buddies with Floyd as he threw to him at his pro day. Maybe Nix just isn't a fan of Notre Dame players.
  24. I'll take Nix at his word that he will take a Tackle at #10. He said 2 or 3 can play right away and unless those guys are taken before we pick, he'll take one of those guys. Seems like it's a really deep year for WR's and we have a lot of numbers at the WR position on the roster.
  25. We have our Pierre-Paul. Maybe Anderson is our Kiwanuka. Now we need our Tuck and Umenyiora.
