  1. Brady is a b#tch. That play made it even more enjoyable to see the Patriots lose. Almost as bad was Simms completely glossing it over when his producers kept showing replay after replay. Time for Simms to hang them up. Used to like him, but he has become the ultimate shill for stars like Brady. Way too close to the players. Collinsworth might be annoying at times but he's the best because he isn't afraid to call them as he sees them.
  2. Wouldn't go near this guy in the draft. Circus will follow wherever he goes. He'll be a joke in the locker room too. Would be perfect with the Jets.
  3. Fair enough, but better team store is at the bottom of the list of the things you mentioned that will improve the gameday experience and sell more tickets. Bigger and better concessions, bigger and better bathrooms, flat screens all over the concourse and in bathrooms so you don't miss any of game, history of the Bills exhibit would be cool, more kid friendly stuff (i.e. NFL experience type stuff). Better team store is a part of that, but I guess if I just negotiated public money for stadium improvements, I wouldn't include renderings of a shiny new team store if I was only releasing 5 pictures.
  4. Couldn't agree more. Ridiculous that taxpayer money being used for the team to build a better store. For $200m, I expected to see more. Just 5 pictures, but I wouldn't have included the Bills store in the pictures if I were the Bills.
  5. Even if Cleveland is the favorite, those are still decent odds he ends up in Buffalo.
  6. We'd have to wait possibly until the Super Bowl to hire this guy, right? Unless someone in the organization has ties with him going back to childhood and could trust his word, no thanks. We'd be left with whomever no one else wanted if he screwed us over.
  7. Not a fan of one of the re-treads like Lovie or Whisenhunt for the Bills. They might be good coaches, but just think they're gonna try to copy what they did before. Buffalo is a unique job and needs a coach who's gonna bring a unique approach to be successful here.
  8. Bills got nothing to lose. Kelly is a swing for the fences. Oregon isn't the sexiest job and the guy's been to 4 straight BCS games. Seems like NFL is copying college game more than other way around.
  9. I like the idea of a downtown stadium better than Niagara Falls. Unless we take it from Canada, they'll always have the better view of the Falls. NY side of the Falls should expand on the park aspect that it has. Love taking my kids to walk around goat island when I come back to WNY. Falls are a natural wonder, make the NY side a big national park with campgrounds and a few hotels.
  10. I no longer live in WNY, but the fact that the Bills and Erie County politicians have already shot this down is ridiculous. $200m to improve RWS shouldn't even be on the table. Stop letting Ralph hold WNY hostage. A long term solution is needed. $200m isn't scaring any new owner from moving the team. I'm not saying it has to be this new proposal, but if you build a new stadium, it pretty much guarantees Bills will be here for next 40 years. $400m from NY state to guarantee Bills will be here for 40 years plus possibility of state-of-the-art stadium and all that comes with that (jobs, downtown revival, etc.) versus $200m to polish a turd that in no way deters Bills from moving is a pretty easy choice.
  11. This sounds crazy at first, but I like that someone is thinking big. At the very worst, you get people talking about it and adjusting their opinions upward about what is possible instead of quibbling over $200m in improvements to an outdated stadium.
  12. +1. I'd tell them that I see improvement but it's an uphill battle without a franchise QB. Gotta know who you are and what you're up against. With Ralph as the owner, we'll never have a better organization than the Pats, Steelers, Giants, and other winning franchises. Only thing that can over-come that is a franchise QB.
  13. Nix and Gailey are an improvement, but it's painfully obvious we'll never be a contender without a legit franchise QB, especially the way Ralph runs the organization. Gailey is a good offensive coordinator and Nix is a good college scout, but you need more than that if you want to compete against organizations like the Pats.
  14. How does a new ownership group even think of building a new stadium if Ralph is selling at least 1 game a year to Toronto? It's bad enough Ralph hasn't made a commitment to keep the Bills in WNY, but re-upping the deal with Toronto for another 5 years and for possibly more than 1 game a year makes it that harder to build a new stadium and keep bills here.
  15. Could not agree more. Hard to get to the QB when the only thing QB has to do when he drops back is locate where McKelvin is and throw it to his man. Coverage was bad all around, but it started with McKelvin. Gave Sanchez a bunch of confidence knowing how easy it was to pick apart McKelvin.
  16. WR's are the achilles heel of this team. Besides Johnson, no one is a threat to the defense. A bunch of guys who would be 4th and 5th WR's on other teams. Graham looks promising but can't rely on a rookie WR. What is the point of going 5 wide when 4 of the WR's can be singled covered and you can blitz the crap out of Fitz with an empty back-field?
  17. What exactly is there to be pressing Schumer on? Changing the rules makes the G4 loan program a more attractive option for Ralph, helps keep the Bills in WNY, and saves the money of taxpayers which includes partisan d-bags on both sides. Ralph is the one who needs to be 'pressed'.
  18. Who cares? Buffalo would never be on the radar to host an Olympics by itself. Regardless, there's so many good events in the Summer Olympics that Buffalo would host something cool.
  19. Very interesting idea. Instead of pissing away hundreds of millions on venues that will not be used again, spend it on bridges and trains that are needed and will open up commerce.
  20. No, just a lazy, d-bag reporter trying to get Schumer to do his job for him. Like him or not, the whole point of what Schumer is trying to do is give the Bills more options to finance stadium upgrades and also put some public pressure on Ralph to use the G4 loan program.
  21. Not sure how anyone who wants the Bills to stay in Buffalo can have a problem with what Schumer is trying to do. By going public with this, it forces Ralph and the Bills to put in their own money and use the G-4 program for stadium improvements once the NFL amends the rules specifically for the Bills. How bad will Ralph look if NFL amends its rules specifically for the Bills and Ralph turns around and asks NYS taxpayers to fund all or the majority of the upgrades?
  22. "Everyone else has a lot more negative things to say about our receiving corps than I do. I have a lot of confidence in our receiving corps and what we will be able to do. Having people that have been out there, been in the games and been on the same page with (Ryan Fitzpatrick) really is going to pay dividends for us I believe. T.J. Graham struggled because he has just not been in the system. He just needs to learn the system. He has a lot of talent. Everybody else has been on the same page and it has been good." Hate to be a downer, but I thought it was kind of strange that Gailey singled Graham out for struggling.
  23. Sounds like Quick wasn't a consideration in Round 2. Replace Quick with Hill and you're probably right about the 4 they targeted in the 2nd round. Maybe even Randle instead of Upshaw.
  24. Obviously Wide Right tops them all, Music City Miracle next, then Ronnie Harmon playoff game
  25. Merriman, Kelsay, Edwards, and Johnson are all scheduled to make in the $4m range this year as back-ups. Can't see more than 2 of them making the team. Carrington and Troupe probably get another year, and the team seems to like Heard too. My guess is Edwards is definitely gone and Johnson will have to take a pay-cut. Probably gotta keep Kelsay around because you can't rely on Merriman to play a whole season, but Kelsay is probably making $3m more here than he would for any other team.
