Schefter: Eagles trade Bryce Brown to Bills

Selling of Bills Could Happen Even Sooner
BuffaloRebound replied to LOVEMESOMEBILLS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the Milstein news today makes Niagara Falls site more likely. Would look too shady if Milstein buys the Bills, then Cuomo and the local politicians hand over hundreds of millions in taxpayer money to build a stadium on his land. People would go more nuts than they already would have when new stadium is heavily taxpayer-subsidized -
Schefter: Eagles trade Bryce Brown to Bills
BuffaloRebound replied to Punch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
NCAA is a farce so not worried about him running into problems with them. Not like he was arrested or anything like that in college. Seemed like he had some growing up to do but haven't read anything yet that suggests he's a bad guy. More worried about his fumbles. -

Schefter: Eagles trade Bryce Brown to Bills

Interesting that Bills were furiously trying to trade back into the 2nd round for Carlos Hyde. This and what Bills gave up for Brown tell me they don't plan on him being a 3rd stringer. -
Kouandjio. If he's gone, trade down and re-coup some 2015 picks.

Better Draft Day (s) coverage: ESPN or NFLN?
BuffaloRebound replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Schefter is the only guy worth listening to on ESPN. McShay is horrible. ESPN jumped the shark a long time ago. NFL Network seems to have raised their game. I'll be watching NFL Network tonight. -
Go on record. Who do you want?

Beckham. Bigger version of Steve Smith. Think he ends up having better career than Watkins. If used properly, Spiller does a lot of what Watkins can do. Trade Stevie to Carolina for a 3rd rounder. -
My issue with trading up

Interesting study. Pre-salary cap data almost irrelevant though and rookie wage scale a game changer for top 10 picks. Still, hard to deny that cost to move up has historically been too expensive. -
WVAU TV Marcel Dareus arrested-edit-again
BuffaloRebound replied to Punch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the timing will piss Goodell off even more. Draft is by far the biggest NFL event between February and September, and this moron gets arrested 2 days before. In a way, I hope Goodell throws the full book at him and suspends him 4 games. Dareus needs a wake-up call. -

Don't remember Nigel Bradham missing any games. -
Bad Vibes About A Certain Player.....

I like Watkins but his style translating to NFL is a concern. A guy his size who constantly looks for contact might not last that long. I think Evans' game translates better to NFL. -
It will be Zack Martin then a RB in round 2
BuffaloRebound replied to HelloNewman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just watched his Rutgers/ND bowl game tape. Martin was impressive. Great run blocker. Consistently pushed his man 3-5 years down the field. Seems like a safe pick at #9. If he does struggle at Tackle, he'll be an All-Pro guard. We could do worse, but would prefer to trade down if he's our best option at #9. -
I'd assume NFL pays for all the players' and their families' travel expenses including some kind of clothing stipend. It's the least they can do when you consider how much money NFL makes off the draft.

The 3 2 2 1 formula
BuffaloRebound replied to Tintonfallsbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think 2-2-2-2 is the worst case scenario. Can't see Bills taking Lewan who seems strictly an LT. If Bortles or Manziel are available at #9 and Bills still have pick, I'd hope Bills have standing trade with Houston or someone else. If the top 6 plus Manziel and Bortles are gone, don't see anyone available at #9 that teams would trade up for. -
OT/TE or TE/OT in first two rounds??
BuffaloRebound replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd be happy with any of the top 6 guys. Wouldn't trade up for anyone other than Clowney or Watkins. If top 6 are gone by pick #9 and Bills didn't trade up, I'd prefer a trade down. With all these trade-up rumors and Bills doing nothing to squash them, you're gonna have one disappointed fanbase come Thursday night if Bills stay put and take Ebron, Lewan or Zack Martin. I think a guy like Beckham Jr. can have just as much impact as Ebron, Lewan, or Martin and can be had later in the 1st round. -
OT/TE or TE/OT in first two rounds??
BuffaloRebound replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we are taking an OT in the 2nd round. Kouandjio, Morgan Moses, Juwuan James, or Richardson... one of them will be available and an immediate upgrade at RT. Bills can go so many different ways in the 1st round. -
Howard Milstein interested in the Bills

I think you'd have to build a passenger train to Niagara Falls which is over-due anyway. -
My issue with trading up
BuffaloRebound replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we do actually trade up into the top 4, I think it involves Stevie or Spiller. Bortles/Manziel, Spiller, and next year's 2nd for Clowney (this trade would be consummated after Houston selects Clowney and we select one of the QB's - can't see Houston trading with us unless they know they can get Manziel or Bortles). #9, Stevie, and a 3rd for Cleveland's #4. Getting up to #5, 6, or 7 will probably not cost more than a 3rd rounder. If I were Whaley, this years 2nd rounder and next years 1st rounder would be off limits. Everything else including Stevie and Spiller would be fair game. -
I think Spiller plus our 1st this year and 2nd next year to Houston is more plausible than the Cleveland trade. Wouldn't be surprised if Stevie is traded on draft day, but think Spiller is more likely to be traded. Houston has a lot of pieces already. Spiller and Fitzpatrick would be an upgrade over last year and give them a chance to compete for a playoff spot while Bortles sits for a year.
