  1. I don’t think Rapp or Edwards is stopping McBeane from taking a safety they like high in the draft and DeJean checks all the boxes on what they look for in a DB - versatile, smart, playmaker.
  2. I’m thinking the same thing. If we don’t trade up for a WR and Dejean is there at 28, he will 100% be the pick.
  3. This. No way I’m trading a 1st to move up 10 spots for the 4th or 5th best WR in a deep WR class. If it’s for one of the top 3, who all seem to be graded as studs, then I’d think about it.
  4. Agreed. For some there’s always something to worry about. A couple mid-30 year old safeties, one who signed for a 1 year $2m deal and the other who’d probably be lucky to get that doesn’t register high on the list. Replacing Floyd’s production seems like more legitimate gripe but he seemed to really tail off at end of year after he blew the Denver game. Even though Morse was getting up there in age, any time you re-shuffle an O-Line that was playing well is a concern and Morse did get scooped up right away for decent money. Gonna have to just trust McBeane on that one.
  5. Not seeing how the defense lost a lot of talent. It lost Floyd but not outrageous to think Von another year removed from ACL surgery can replace his production. Can’t imagine Austin Johnson will be worse than Settle or Poona Ford. Milano is back. Poyer and Hyde are gone but Edwards is probably an upgrade. The defense is most likely better this year.
  6. This is kinda making the case for trading up more than back. Beane has nicely re-tooled the roster depth. Now we need difference makers and starters along the lines of the Kincaid and Torrence picks. We have enough 4th, 5th, and 6th rounders to take a shot on some diamonds in the rough. Trade up in 1st with one of our 4th’s for brst D-Lineman and WR then do same in 2nd round with our other 4th or a 3rd next year.
  7. I’d say probably yes. And with Josh as your QB, the answer would’ve been definitely yes.
  8. Diggs, pick 28, and next years 1st for 4th overall pick
  9. Only way I’m trading Diggs is if it’s for Aiyuk or a 1st rounder.
  10. Ha. That was actually a really good gauntlet after he got hit in head. Ran in straight line, maintained speed, and excellent hands. Also showed a lot of poise.
  11. Wasn’t he the holder for Norwood’s wide right?
  12. Diggs knows exactly what he’s doing with the social media BS. Basically daring McBeane to cut or trade him before his 2024 salary becomes guaranteed tomorrow. If it actually happens, he can say he wanted it too
  13. Nice. Josh deserves weapons. I’m actually fine now drafting a WR in 2nd round and going D Line in 1st round.
  14. Of all the depth signings, this guy actually helped us win games last year. Welcome back Ty.
  15. Armstead majorly upgrades the Lawson/Phillips snaps. End on rush downs, Tackle on passing downs.
  16. Josh Allen is our QB. Stop rolling with the Harty’s, Sherfield’s, Mick Collins’s, and Shorter’s of the world as your 4th and 5th Wide outs. A more talented guy who hasn’t gotten deal he wants in free agency will take a 1 year incentive laden deal to be WR 3 or 4 for a shot to play with Allen. To heck with playing the comp pick game. How’d that turn out this year? Beane did everything to protect that 3rd rounder and we’re stuck with Sherfield dropping passes in playoff games.
  17. If Beane is loading up on guys like Hollins, Morrow, and Cam Lewis, please bring back Ty Johnson a dude who actually helped us win games at the end of the year.
  18. This is exactly the type of guy who might come here on a 1 year incentive laden deal.
  19. That’s awesome for him. Life changing money.
  20. No. None of remaining money owed was guaranteed.
  21. As long as he’s competing with Shorter for the 5th WR spot and only sees time on offense if there are injuries, I’m fine with it. If this is Gabe’s replacement, not fine with.
  22. Let’s stop surrounding Josh with the Trent Sherfield’s, Deonte Hardy’s of the world. 30 year old Diggs, Shakir, and a rookie WR ain’t enough and if anybody gets injured, it will be criminal spending another year with Josh throwing the ball to Sherfield level dudes trying to beat Mahomes in the playoffs. Brown and Samuel were both 1st round talents, are still in their primes, and have put up decent numbers with QB’s half as good as Josh.
  23. No, but I think we are now in a position to go up to $10m on a 1 year deal for a marquise brown or curtis samuel if the market isn’t what they want.
  24. Beane has done a crazy amount of work the last 7 days getting the cap in order and filling a lot of roster spots. Phase 1 was getting cap in order. Phase 2 was re-building the roster depth. Phase 3 now dipping tie into free agency and seeing if we can land a WR still available. Same with safety and d-line. Some intriguing options still out there. Will also be interesting what Chargers do to get under the cap. We are in way better shape than I thought we’d be in 7 days ago.
